I agree but I think they've gotta show us some actual gameplay by then. I mean there's that PAX Prime stuff but it's not official. 

I just think it's about time they show off mechanics and gameplay in a more detailed fashion. They don't have forever anymore.

Something tells me my self-imposed exile is quite near. They don't seem at all interested to talk mechanics, but have announced a plan to release story spoilers on a scheduled basis.

They did create that dedicated story & characters forum.  Hopefully that information will mostly be contained there.

I would bet on the mechanics details coming after E3.

After which time nearly every companion will be revealed and countless spoilers will be out. After all, since this thread is the de facto info source for DA:I info and it practically oozes character/companion information, it will be impossible to follow the game and not hear way more story information than I'd like.

So unless Bioware starts effectively segregating the spoiler information from mechanics/systems stuff (which I don't see happening), then I'm pretty much out of luck to find out any information I want until after release, when reviews come out that understand people don't want to know every single story aspect to a game before it comes out, but may just want to know how gameplay works.

After the hype reels the press gets their paws on individual developers and that's where in-depth vids are showcased. If you watch something like a GameTrailers stream you should see various "special guests" pop up to speak in-depth about various features. Happened with ME3, ought to happen here. Lord knows it happens with a bunch of other games every year.

This thread is definitive proof that this is not the case. And since Twitter is where Bioware goes to tell anything about DA:I, that means any information (gained here or on Twitter) will be spoiler-heavy.

If you're looking instead for super-meaty genuine strings of in-depth mechanical analysis, well, either you're aware that rarely happens with game pre-release phases or I've missed it in the past.
