Originally there was supposed to be one at the end of this month, but then Cameron Lee said there would be one in a few weeks. I guess at some point in February then.

She doesnt get named, the Devine hands her the Inquisition book (same one she holds in DA2 I think) and Cas says "How may i serve". My theory is it takes a couple of years or a decade to get the inquisition prepared. Which makes sense as the Devine tells her "We must be prepared" .
But I cant mistake that tome with the Inquisition symbol all over it. The very last scene
Doesn't that book have the Seeker insignia all over it, not the Inquisition? They're pretty similar symbols, after all
Chronologically the Inquisition (as far as we know) only starts after the events at the start of DA3 - Cassandra looks like she might be involved, but she doesn't lead it.

I was on holiday last week, but I would expect one this week IIRC.

I just checked and it's the Seeker symbol on that book, not the Inquisition symbol.

Isn't the book in the movie just the book Cassandra shows Varric in DA2?BasilKarlo wrote...

Yeah, it is. The new Inquisition hasn't been formed yet because DotS takes place years before the Hawke/Kirkwall/Asunder thing.
The chronology is all effed up in this movie but at one point someone references a world where events like in Kirkwall won't be allowed to happen again -- so I'm pretty sure the anulment of the Gallows had already happened. Asunder takes place after DOTS though because Wynne mentions the dragon attack on Val Royeaux.

As the interrogation of Varric takes place three years after the final battle I suppose they may have been almost concurrent in the time line. [Ponders] It could be that they're referring to Elthina's total loss of control over Meredith and the rising tensions rather than the kaboom, as well.

David Gaider said on Twitter that the Kirkwall events mentioned in DotS was in regards to Meredith's story and how she became Knight Commander.
If anyone can find this tweet then post it up, I can't find the bloody thing and I'm not at a computer currently to have a proper look.

I presumed the movie referred to the ancient, horrific scrifices made in Kirkwall that created the weakened Veil that makes everyone there so unstable, though perhaps they may have been talking about the death of the previous viscount and deposing of the Knight-Commander that led to Elthina appointing Merecith and her naming Dumar to the post, though I'm not sure why they would find that too worrisome.

It makes me wonder if they made a mistake mentioning the Kirkwall event in DotS so they had to come up with some other "event" to try and put the timeline for the movie right.

That being said, the chronology of 9:37-9:40 Dragon is really confusing. It sounds like that's when Asunder happens (or something roughly analogous to Asunder, given player choices), and so DA3 in 9:40 begins with the Chantry and Seekers divided, the mages rebelling against the Templars, a civil war in Orlais and rising tension with Ferelden as noted in Act 3 of DA2.

Why would the Templar Commander from DotS be against seizing power when clearly its what he was doing in Orlais o.O
Im so confused.
On a side note, yeap people were right it's not the inquisition logo as I thought, keep confusing them.
Appologies

I always thought the Kirkwall indicent mentioned in DotS is when Merediths sister, Amelia, goes crazy and kills like 70 people. *shrug*
Cassandra is way too brash and...****y...so I figured it was early on, and cause da2 Cassandra seemed...well less brash....
but then again, that movie was...not good.

if that's the same book...then DotS would have happened after DA2.
But also, I always thought the "book" was Hawke's journal. Whenever you pull up your journal, in the background you can see the cover of it. And it, too, has what appears to be the Seeker symbol. The sun thing w/the eye in the middle.
Maybe it';s just the fashion, or something. or, maybe DotS was a bit liberal w/ their timeline stuff. who knows.
edit: my quotes dont wanna work right..

It's funny, I always thought the book in DA2 was Varric's, a published version of his tale that the Chantry had found and was questioning due to the excessively epic nature of it, like the way he "tells" the intro.
I assumed the same, and I'm not convinced it's Hawke's journal based on a symbol.
Plus, why would Hawke create stylized illustrations of his companions for his journal?
