Well, and the fact is that kind of stuff is frequently reserved for big press releases for very sound financial reasons anyway.

But of course he does claim to enjoy it, or at least, people have told me he does, so at least he gets satisfaction from repeating facts.

Indeed, that's all he said. He may not have been aware that this article would hit so quickly as he's not in marketing. That and he was snarkily pointing out that people asking for writers on characters which haven't even been confirmed is silly. That was the crux of his comment, but of course hungry fandoms will try to take things as optimistically as possible.
