I know I'm a little late to the Mae thing, but am I the only one who didn't realize she was a trans-woman until much, much later. I had read the graphic novels twice, and was just browsing the wiki when I saw something about her being trans and it made me stop. I had to go back and double check! Boy, she makes a pretty girl

The artist were very clever in how they handled the reveal when she reappeared in Until We Sleep. It took me a couple of minutes to figure it out, which I suppose unfortunately speaks to how rare trans characters are in mainstream pop culture.

Romance response (Charming): Allan are you really betraying them? Did they not betray you by forcing you into a marriage that you did not want.
Heartbreak response (Direct): Fine I'm going to see if Iron Bull is up for it.
Sheesh I haven't wrote anything that cheesy since my script about a vegemite icecream, recovering gambleholic monkey and a pink fluffy pirate.
