Well that's depressing...
Not really. He'll go on his calling eventually, all grey wardens do. It would be an interesting way to bring closure to his character.

We've got Steve Valentine in the booth today. Wonder what he's saying...#DragonAgeInquisition #Alistair
Calm down, Satan.
Ok hear me out. All through DAO we hear how difficult it is to be a Grey Warden because of the taint, and how terrible it it that the Wardens all eventually go on their Calling rather than succumb to the taint. However, we never experience a character we care about or know end in this situation. The only person we see on their Calling is Larius, whom we have no personal feelings for. I think the tales of the taint and the Calling, and their affect on Grey Wardens would be much more powerful if we saw a character we know well go through it. It would be especially powerful if it makes that person change drastically from who we remember.
Couldn't it be possible that he lends his voice to a different character? ![]()
Couldn't it be possible that he lends his voice to a different character?
Now I'm imagining a world where DAI gets released and all the Alistair fans get is a random quest giving NPC at some village with a strangely familiar voice.
"That's right ser! There's barbarians up in them mountains, I tells ya! You'd better take care of them before they come swooping down here!"
I like this world.

I feel at this point that your official job title is something along the lines of "Scandalizer of Forums" rather than "Technical Quality Assurance Analyst"

That's fine by me, provided they keep the "Swooping" part... ![]()
Do you guys need more fan tears? Is that it?Couldn't it be possible that he lends his voice to a different character?
My heart leaped into my throat when I saw that tweet.
The thought of him lending his voice for other characters, not just Alistiar, did come to mind. If so, let it be. I'll be listening for him.

MESSAGE POPULAIRE !
Unlike Allan, I am not willing to poke this particular bear needlessly. He does indeed play Alistair. Insofar as what role Alistair plays in the game, however, that you will have to wait and see.
(Other than him being a party member, which he most definitely is not.)

Gaider the Master of Wisdom
Allan the Master of Sass
That's......kinky...
And when His Word
Reached the mortal plain
All were at ease
Or.... at least should be, because that last part is a lie. No Dragon Age fan is at ease, ever.
But thank you, Master Gaider.
And now I wonder if Alistair has a secret twin brother in Orlais and if it will be possible to romance him.Couldn't it be possible that he lends his voice to a different character?
omigawd. omigawd! *Inquisitor runs after Alistair* Don't you remember me, Baby? Don't you remember? It's me!
Lol! at that pic of Valentine. Like the Cat that ate the Canary. Meowzaa!
Damn... I move and my computer blows up just as all the cool info starts rolling out! ![]()
That said, it's great to hear Steve will be reprising Allistair. It did seem a bit baffling that he wouldn't make at least some appearance in the game.
