So, that train is my fault, I think.

 

And I kinda feel bad. Not about the comparison, because I still stand by the belief that the angle/shadowing on that one screenshot has a resemblance and that it's just funny as all get-out, but I do feel badly if it rankled David. Not at all my intention. I'd never judge a game or character pre-release and most here know by now that my love and respect for BioWare and its awesome employees runs very, very deep for immensely personal reasons.

 

I just thought it was a really funny coincidence based on that one screenshot, and thought it would be funny to poke fun. You know, since we don't have much else to do but sit and wait very impatiently for DA:I.

Well it's not like we've gotten a full, clear shot of his face yet. We could only judge from a far away shot and a strange angle, and from that angle he DID kind of look like Nicolas Cage. He wants us to really know what Solas looks like, he'll have to show us. Preferably soon

Honestly, a little surprised he seems unhappy about the Cage comparison when people were totally making waaaaaaaaaay worse judgements about Solas due only to his baldness.

 

That's something I'd compare to the "Carver is a derp" movement and the "Merrill boobies" movement.

 

I'm actually more interested in Solas now simply because of the resemblance screenshot and the fact that it made me smile/chuckle in a good way. Prior to that, I was really rather neutral to him because we know nothing of him right now.

Also given the poor context around the poor Solas, It wouldn't be difficult for a writer who doesn't lurk every second on the forum, and doesn't live here, ( which could explain the lack of understanding ) to not see it necessarily as a compliment.
