I think that Gaider's point is that people are quick to judge a character based on a early/unclean/strange Shot , not that comparing Solas to Cage was an insult.
Right, that's just human nature. First impressions and all. I don't see the harm as long as it's only the first, especially of a fictional character without actual feelings to be hurt. (but I know writers see their characters like their babies sometimes)

I have zero negative connotations in regards to Nicholas Cage, so...
I wouldn't worry too much about it. We're humans too and will have odd pet peeves and the likes ourselves as well, just as the fans here will have themselves.
