That is a bit misleading - they are talking about removing boxed games from the Origin store, not altogether

I just copy/pasted it.

The original food list had 10 items: bananas foster, shortbread, ortolan bunting, strawberry parfait, surprise meatballs, chili dog, tequila + skittles, scotch bonnet candy, deceptive wax fruit, and giant rump roast. It might be relevant to note David Gaider is the one who mentioned deceptive wax fruit and giant rump roast, Mary Kirby mentioned chili dog, tequila + skittles, and scotch bonnet candy, and Sheryl Chee mentioned the rest. This was back in February.

Crusty baguette and beef bourguignon were not on the original list that was tweeted but were mentioned by Mary Kirby much more recently. So as far as I know we have more food items than companions at the moment.

Lot more food items than companions. Although, it's possible they changed some after talking with each other to get the right taste.

Highly unlikely. SW is not exactly "new" (the IP exists since the 70's), and it is not BioWare's Intellectual Property (it belongs to Lucas Art)

oh i see for some reason i thought ip meant just a new series my bad. i do hope they make another SW sometime in the future. doesn't EA have rights to make SW games? i thought they got that from disney?

They did, but that doesn't necessarily mean BioWare's studios wind up assigned to a Star Wars title, of course. Perhaps someday, but should Dragon Age and Mass Effect remain profitable and the new IP prove its mettle they'd practically need a new studio for it. Or I suppose Austin could get involved eventually, but it's still handling TOR -- a Star Wars game. ;)

I'm fine with waiting for a new Star Wars RPG from BioWare, as long as DICE's Battlefront's still happening.

The IP I really hope BioWare returns to at some point is "Jade Empire".

If I remember right, the mo-cap...facility(?) is at EA in Vancouver.

Yeah, it's supposedly one of the best in the world. I'm pretty sure EA actually bought them (it was a private company before I think?) a few years ago and now all of their studios do mocap there.

The ME team also tweeted about going there a few weeks ago, so it definitely gets a lot of Bioware use.

Thanks for the info guys! It's just another reminder of just how much effort goes into these games.

I never want to be the kind of person who looks at a kitten video and -doesn't- think 'I need all of those kittens'.

Not strictly DA-related, but... kittens.

It's very weird reading fan-made dialogues for characters of whom they've so far only seen a picture.

Well, people go on with what they know, and if what we got so far are pictures, then the "Give-me-10-seconds-and-i-will-judge-you" rule is legit ;), but i have always wondered what the writers think of all the Fanfiction out there...would be fun to see them comment on some

Solas: This does not bode well for your mental health my friend.

Iron Bull: Bahahaha! What d'you expect from this sorry bunch of misfits, sense?!

Starkhaven did seem to have Scottish accents.

I'm not saying this is true, but the possibility is very exciting. I don't want to get my hopes up though.

I'm not entirely surprised the new IP sounds space like but I still think Bioware should create a Victorian steampunk world. I would totally play that! Or the return of Jade Empire. That would work too.

PS. Thank you kind people for all of the twitter posts from someone who doesn't have twitter but loves this thread!

I'm pretty excited by the idea. I'm really hoping that grey warden dude is shortbread and Scottish now :D

Ok, took a break from the internet, came back, read 7 pages...all caught up...so *gets fingers ready*

1) As a person with really dark brown hair naturally I think that Cassandra's hair is a shade like mine: Looks black in low light, brown in sunlight, and in indoor light it can look either shade or auburn...(due to a mistake in the packaging of a hair coloring kit, and my failure to check the color in the tube was the same as labeled on the box and the fact I trimmed my growing out pixie before coloring it, I now have Leliana's hair from the Sacred Ashes trailer)

2) Although I think that the team's Lego project came out cool, I have never used a kit myself. I used to be given kits as gifts and they ended up being incorporated into my existing Lego stash. I now have enough Lego to build a nice sized keep/fortress/castle with a working drawbridge and possibly a trebuchet. And yes, I still have a large storage tote full of Lego, collected over 25 years. And no, I don't play well with my little cousins when they visit and want to play with my Lego (I never learned how to share)

3) All that food made me hungry!

4) WTF is that creature that the quizzy and Viv are about to fight in that pic?!? It looks cool!

I learned how to create conditionals using Frostbite schematics today! I'm willing to bet the level designers sensed it, looking up in fear.

Unlike Allan, I am not willing to poke this particular bear needlessly. He does indeed play Alistair. Insofar as what role Alistair plays in the game, however, that you will have to wait and see.

(Other than him being a party member, which he most definitely is not.)
