I am pretty impressed with how detailed and natural the faces look in DA:I, though. Both Vivienne and Solas look like actual people.

Now I'm really hoping Solas is going to get a volatile high stress personality similar to the characters Nick Cage plays. That would make him a really cool companion.  
Also thats a personality type BW hasn't used in any of their games yet.

Well, we know that Gaider writes two romances, but we don't know how many characters he will/did write. So, if it's Gaider that wrote Solas...yeah, you get the idea...

Gaider wrote two companions. We know that because he mentioned it on his twitter last Fall.

 

Having said that, beside Mary, devs have never really been that open about who wrote whom before really presenting the characters and Solas haven't been presented yet, only announced.

He may have written more than two (though I think it unlikely). We only know that he was finishing his second companion (and I suspect that was indeed Solas).

 

As a bonus, this means it's almost certain that Cassandra is romanceable (I wouldn't have really expected it, but there it is).

If Cole from Asunder is a companion, David HAS to be responsible for him. However, if he only wrote two characters (both potential romances) that doesn't jive with his distaste for Cole being perceived in a romantic light.

Another possibility is that NPC romances will debut in Inquisition, and he wrote one of those.
