Text to speech always leads to the most epic line delivery! #SprintReviewDay

I can't help but think of a robotic voice saying "All your base are belong to us."

I can't help but think of Oghren's banter with Velanna in Awakening that was kept as Text to Speech.

Deleted a post as I'd rather this thread not derail into wild speculations over when the game may or may not be coming out and so forth.

Best TTS ever was with Anders' actual VA meeting Ser Pounce-A-Lot.

The monkey was too small. The monkey can't connect to a test box. Do we need giant gorilla cyborg? #sprintReviewDay

Well, no racist animations. I'm assuming that means more natural looking dark skin tones? Yay! I want my PC to be swarthy Moor.

No, it most likely means that a character model was doing some kind of weird gesture that someone took the wrong way. When "animations" are said in the context of game design, they rarely have anything to do with color pallette, it's pretty much always the way a body/object moves.

Unless you're talking about sprite-based games, then everything is animation. :P

This is quite possibly my favourite piece of DA insider info, ever.

No, it was just funny and jarring in Awakening when one of Oghren's banters with Velanna came out with Oghren sounding like Microsoft Sam instead of Steve Blum. Pretty sure it was not supposed to be in the final game. There was a youtube video of it but I can't find it anymore.

LOL. There should be an option to have the whole game be played in TTS. Screw your fancy voice actors, I'll take Microsoft Sam!

Cat = Dragon Age III fans

Watermelon = pre-release Dragon Age III information

Lake = Curiosity

Cat either opens up watermelon or watermelon rolls back, knocking cat into lake.

(Insert obvious curiosity/cat adage here)

Very appropriate! Check the bristled out tail and intent facial and body expression... we're gonna get some kinda info if it kills us! :P

For some reason I got a mental picture of a black dwarf and Merrill with all the wierd and akward dialog that could follow.

I think it would actually be really cool if they made the Kal'Sharok look substantially different, since they have been separated by distance and time for so long. Say, as black dwarves.

Has anyone ever done black dwarves? I think this could be a thing.

I don't think so, unless you count those Final Fantasy mages from back when those were good games.

Well, the lack of sunlight migh have something to do with there being no black dwarves hence the akward talks with Merrill.

I think he means if a character wants skin from Uganda, they won't have skin like chocolate-cake splattered onto a blackboard. We can actually have a very dark skin-tone without being the oompa lumpas of Thedas xD.
