Surprised. I thought it was confirmed by the latest news? Well, that is disappointing.
So it looks like we're back to "Eastern Ferelden to Western Orlais".

Wat. No Nevarra. That sucks. I wonder what other inaccuracies are in the magazine articles.
I'm starting to think everything that is written is mostly wrong. This pretty much leave Solas existence, because of screenshots, and jumping because it was confirmed in tweets recently.

Guys, I've been reading our forums. Did anyone remember to put in romances?
SWEET JESUS I KNEW I FORGOT SOMETHING

It should've been on our checklist. VO comments, Investigates, Banter, Nookie..
So it looks like we're back to "Eastern Ferelden to Western Orlais".
Still a pretty big area to get lost in.
Yeah, I never bought that we were going to Nevarra. That seems like a destination for an expansion or a whole other game. They've set up a possible political conflict with the king's imminent death, and I expect Nevarra to be a little too weird for a quick jaunt.
Collect X torn trousers. Romance complete! +5 gold and 20 XP
I dunno. If we can't do it right, maybe we shouldn't do it at all.
If you guys hurry, they can be written by the time I'm in tomorrow.

True enough - there's certainly no shortage of real estate in those locations. ![]()

I just really hope that the Crestwood area taking "15 minutes to run across in a straight line" while being "far from the largest area in the game," isn't just some lie to get people excited.
That's that! The last of the Nug corpses have been tossed in the garbage. Victory is ours!!#nugattack2014
I don't see how it's relevant. Bioware didn't lie about Nevarra. They never stated it was a location.I just really hope that the Crestwood area taking "15 minutes to run across in a straight line" while being "far from the largest area in the game," isn't just some lie to get people excited.
Yeah, I totally avoided getting online at all yesterday, you never know if what is said on April 1st is truth or not....I hate April Fools day.....so yeah, I'm avoiding anything about DAI announced yesterday, just in case.
@Mike_Laidlaw Okay, Can we then be able to play as Nevarran in the future? I love the country Nevarra. Thanks for puting the country in #DAI
@TemplarCode Nevarra's not a playable space in #DAI. It's referenced heavily, but you won't go there directly.

Is this some kind of a joke?
No. I think there's an error in one of the recent articles, since people keep asking me about Nevarra.
I wonder if that means the Free Marches and the Dales are also not playable areas? As far as I remember, confirmation of those came from the same magazine article that said we were going to Nevarra.

Granted, I hope they didn't lie, but I'd be fine with most of the area being Crestwood size, if there's a lot of them.
I'm not saying Bioware lied about Nevarra. I'm just hoping that the areas we can explore are as large as they have been saying. I will be very disappointed if they aren't and all that talk of huge areas turned out to be a lie.

The Dales are part of Orlais, by the maps I've seen, so that, at least, is likely to be in.

Wait, what?
Didn't OXM or GameStar mention Nevarra as one of the locations? The 'five major regions' were Orlais, Ferelden, the Free Marches, the Dales and... Nevarra.

I'm pretty sure we're going to Dales because Mark Darrah talked about the forest where all the Emerald Knights were burried...The Emerald knights were Knights back when the elves had the land.
And that would be a lot of information to get wrong. And the Dales are part of Orlais anyway.

Okay.
Disappointed, but it seems like it was a journalist's screw-up.
Why would they even publish that? Surely they have editors and stuff.
The Dales are in Orlais. It's not the same thing as Nevarra or the FM. Plus, the As much I woudn't trust OXM I don't think they invented the Emerald Graves part.
I agree on that.
Good point. Misunderstandings or failed fact-checking are likely in magazine articles, but outright invention is not.
So, at the moment I guess it looks like Orlais and western Ferelden, with the Dales as one of the parts of Orlais we can visit. The Free Marches are on the other side of Nevarra, so they seem like a less likely destination.
The Emerald Graves corresponds to some concept art that was released earlier, so no worries there.

Yeah, I guess this is lesson learned - unless you hear it from the Devs, treat it with some skepticism... ![]()
