There had better be some major cities... To be perfectly honest I'm getting kind of disappointed right now. I mean, yeah, it seems to be bigger than the other games, but Ferelden and Orlais seems... I dunno... dull. I dislike Ferelden, we've been there before. Orlais is cool, though.
I'll attempt to reserve my full judgment though.

Maybe they'll reveal kitten pets for the Quizzy, that'd save the game from any flaws.

This is why this misinformation is so irresponsible. Please reserve your full judgement, this is the fault of shoddy journalism, not the developers or the game. This'll all blow over and we'll all love the game for all the things it *does* have.

Aside from seeing Kirkwall again, and Starkhaven (and any Sebastian shenanigans), I was hoping to see the Grand Tourney. Perhaps another time if they ever go back to the Free Marches.

I don't see how Nevarra with Tevinter would work well in the same game honestly. At least not nearly as well as with Orlais.
It is important to note that they weren't axed as they were never confirmed to begin with. I don't think they were ever intended to be playable areas, heh.

I know. Still wish we were going to more new places instead of just Orlais and going back to Ferelden. I realize there's a lot to both of them but exploring the Free Marches outside of Kirkwall and going through Nevarra sounded pretty cool.

I'll just focus on the fact that we can finally play qunari, and that the game has amazing graphics.

There are... other reasons to suspect.
A city was sorta briefly seen in the World of Dragon Age vid, and I have a hard time thinking the peace gathering/Fade attack at the start of the game could happen anywhere else but in a city.
(Maybe even Val Royeaux, if it's the Chantry leadership who bear the brunt of the casualties.)
