I really hope the differences in the voice are significant. I won't like the voice from the trailer coming from my elf inquisitor as I usually play my characters young :/ I mean, even Hawke was pushing tolerability. That's why I liked the silent warden. 

 

But it's not a deal-breaker, I suppose.

 

If you go back and listen to the few lines in the PAX demo (which was the same voice actor), it wasn't quite as deep and older-sounding as in the trailer.

 

Plus they've mentioned it might be possible to do things with adjusting pitch, so a qunari can have a deeper voice than an elf.

Unfortunately, with a voiced protagonist, they can't please everybody.

 

Fortunately, I like the voice. Nice to have a character that sounds like he's got a little experience under his belt. Certainly sounds like it fits the age range that BioWare gave for the Inquisitor.

 

That said, I also liked the voice from the PAX demo. Guess I'm easy to please.

Amy Hennig is an icon of the industry for me, so while I'm still sore Naughty Dog lost her, I'm happy she's in the business again practically overnight. Looks like IGN's editor was right when he said studios were likely knocking down her door following her ND departure last month.

God, I wish she joined BioWare, though!
