I'm definitely interested in hearing more about Solas. We don't know anything about his background so far.
A lot of people just already feel 100% certain they know 7/9 party members and a good portion are also 100% sure the last two will be among Cullen/Dorian/Cole, so they want confirmation of the status on those three. Nothing else is going to be interesting if it's not about that. lol

This made me hope the American accent is a Boston one. Or a New Orleans one. That would be fun too.
New Orleans would be awesome and makes sense since it kinda sounds french
Grate now i hoping that it is indeed a new orleans accent......

I think most people are still interested in the confirmed/suspected companions like Solas, Iron Bull and Sera, it's just that they are interested in new, entirely unknown companions more.I'm definitely interested in hearing more about Solas. We don't know anything about his background so far.

Give 'em an inch, they take a mile
I would have preferred to have known nothing about the companions, but that ship sailed long ago...

Most people with a 'New Orleans accent' don't talk like that.
Usually it's just those smelly swamp-dwellers who give real Louisianians a bad name who speak like that.
Or those fools on TV who are only there so people can laugh at Southerners.
'u stay stuck, ya?'
ughhh
Cajun's different than Yat dialect, but Yat's still a Thing. And sure, people got different varieties of it based on where in NOLA they live, how old they are, and all that nonsense. There are still identifiable highlights of Yatspeak. 'Oi' to 'er' (erstas, erl, turlet), emphasis on the first syllable of many words (MYnez, PODna, INsurance), some rhotacization ('hawt' for 'heart', 'chawmah' for 'charmer'), and L-elision ('tawk', 'awrite'). There are also identifiably Yat slang terms (neutral ground, lagniappe, go cup, 'ya mamma'n'em') and idioms ('where y'at', 'f'sure', 'i'll take me a').

How about this they talk about Sera and announce Cullen as a companion then we both win
How about they talk about Sera and Solas, plus announce they upped the companions slots so Cullen/Cole/Dorian + unknown female are all in?
World is perfect, we all die happy. Peace for a thousand years. ![]()

As for impenetrable British accents, I remember reading when the 4th series of (new) Doctor Who started, Americans mailed the BBC angry letters about how they couldn't understand a word Donna Noble was saying...
So... Catherine Tate for Inquisitor! ![]()

Yeah, I was gonna mention that the folks I stayed with last October when a friend and I flew out for the LSU-UF football game pretty much talked just like that, and they were born and raised in the city of New Orleans, so... yeah. I thought the accent was really cool, though. Very different.

I know. I live near New Orleans, I listen to these people on a daily basis. Hearing this horrifying slang is rarer than you'd think.

Dunno how to edit quotes into my other posts, so new post it is. Sorry for double post, mods. Don't kill me.
Ahem. I happen to be related to some of those "swamp dwellers", dear, so you can stop that BS.
Um. My mom is a swamp dweller, actually. I live in a swamp. It's quite smelly, too.
I'm cajun and 'hillbilly', so I believe I have a right to say that.
By swamp dwellers, I mean those fools who act like actual 'gator hunters'. The ones everyone speaks of, with the outrageous accents, and fake everything. Example? Troy, from 'Swamp People'.. the sellout.
They make people like me, the real Louisianians, look like uneducated fools who don't know what a computer is because people wanna think that's true.
Could've used a better term, yes. I apologize, I guess.

Some very good talent in that voice acting clip. I wouldn't be surprised if they (as in CALivingstone) added some of those people to their database or list of voice actors.

I think it's a bit unfair really. Of course they're good, it's clear it's not their first time doing this (most of them anyway, unless they just happen to have those huge microphones laying around).
I thought the point was for a regular untrained fan to be in Inquisition. If they choose a recording clearly made by a professional voice actor, recorded in a studio then what's the point really. Voice actors can get roles in Inquisition during regular auditions.
