No it would't ...Morrigan's child is a male . Not all of us would like to be forced to play as a male.

Well morrigan's child "has the essance of an old god" inside him/her. I could see them making it fair to be female if you had the voice of Urthemiel (a male old god) in your head. I hate to say it, because it's going to most likely provoke a lot of people, but it would be sort of an Anders/Justice situation, but without the moodyness and such!!!!

But, doesn't Morrigan refer to the child as male in Witch Hunt?

Warden: Give me the child and you can go.

Morrigan: He is beyond your reach, as I soon will be.

I believe the piece in Italics, right under the graphic, was from Asunder but the rest wasn't in there IIRC. I don't think there was every a point where Cole was standing in a darkened chantry talking to someone and he didn't become seperated from Rhys and Evangeline until the end of the novel. The first (and last) we saw of him after his seperation from them was when he was holding a knife to First Seeker Lambert's throat.

Oh, yeah, you're right.

Must've been something new written by David - I liked it.

Who could that conversation have been with? I kinda doubt the Inquisitor would know of Rhys and Evangeline, unless Cole was just talking to himself.

Mysteries!

Don't get me wrong, I love Cole and would very much enjoy getting more of him, but I don't believe that post on Gaider's wall was something he created. There are multiple entries that he has put up that have that type of style, and then there's always a source for where they came from (in this case, a tumbler account by shewolf). But if Gaider does decide to dive more into Cole, I vote yes.

If you follow the link to the tumblr, he's crediting her for the graphic and the italics (which I think are from Asunder anyway?). The dialogue in normal font seems to be from Mr. Gaider himself.

Why not? Rhys and Evangeline were pretty central to the events that actually started the mage-templar war and Rhys is one of the mage leaders. Assuming that the inquisitor is pretty heavily involved in the war, he most likely knows about them, especially Rhys. Maybe that's why he meets Cole? He needs him to track them down -- just as he would need Cassandra and Leliana to track down Hawke and the Warden respectively.

Maybe - we hardly know anything about the Inquisitor's motivations at this point, nor why or how they meet the characters some have assumed are companions. The Inquisitor meeting Cole while tracking down Rhys is just as possible as any other method, I suppose.

(I'd tend to think Cassandra is a starting companion, or one very close to the start, only since it seems to best fit the plot outlines that we know from the existing surveys. Then again, who knows.)

I'm going to have a real problem playing this game objectively if Rhys, Evangeline, Cole or Leliana are central figures.

Is that because you haven't read Asunder? Devs have said before that they work on the assumption that people who play the games haven't read the books and as such whatever background info needs to be presented at the start of the game, will be.

Or is it because you feel characters introduced by the book shouldn't be important in the game?

They haven't had a problem with changing more major things than a single line of dialogue that most Origins players never even heard.

He means that since he already knows about these characters' actions from previous media, he will have difficulty roleplaying as a new character who may never have encountered them before.

No the exact opposite of your 1st point actually.  I have read Asunder and have built up a very specific view point or bias regarding all of these characters that I would have a tough time putting aside as if my in game character had never met them.

That's been the case with every DA novel though. Stolen Throne gave insight into characters that our Warden could never get. The Calling gave insight into the Architect's plans and background that the game never made available. It's par for the course.

@Mike_Laidlaw: Unless she didn’t have one, of course. ;)

-hat's the only issue, haha. But boy would that be wild! The story of Aedan and Morrigan is seriously magnificent!

@Mike_Laidlaw: Glad you enjoyed it. We -might- maybe possibly be not-quite done with Morrigan’s story. Perhaps

:o:o wow, that's something.

I can understand that, even though I don't feel the same way. It'll be a challenge, admittedly, but I'm more excited to see them in DA3.

Cole..oh, idk if i can deal w/Cole. especially after sum things that have happened recently in the U.S. w/ young males..mass murdering, psychopaths.

when i looked at his blog on cole...that's all i could see. fair, or not. i just...i think i'm still upset.

i've never wanted to not recruit a companion. but this time....idk if i can deal with that. the pics and the dialogue just reminded me too much.

Me too. Sometimes when I feel like i'm the only Morrigan fan amongst BSN. Maybe it's because alot of people saw her as a heartless shrew to put it nicely. Any how, I really hope she makes and appearance in DA3 and if not an appearance then I hope shes mentioned.

If the OGB is implemented in future games I hope they'd keep it male and not turn him female just to "make it work" for some players. Personally, i'd rather him be a companion, it seems more interesting that way.

There is 'insight' and then there are a host of actions by the characters that would make it near impossible for me to treat them fairly so to speak.

What about Loghain in Stolent Throne? How did you get over what the book told you about him?

I am just curious: is this your personal desire or is there a basis for them revealing such information on a day like Valentine's Day? I feel like Bioware may have done it once before but am not sure if I am just making up ideas in my head in order to appease myself :P

Also, I just want to add in my thoughts on who I would like to see as a companion since we are mentioning that a bit. This also ties in with an earlier post on Twitter by Greg Ellis that was later taken off. I really want Cullen to be a companion even if he isn't a LI because after all the crap he has been through and our PCs viewing it peripherally, I want to be in the midst of his life changes and experience his own emotional and mental responses to what happens. Does anyone else agree? And do you think Greg Ellis will still be involved despite the Twitter issue he kind of created with his post?

Then it looks like you done goofed. Cole was listed as a companion in the leak and if the Mage rebellion is going to play a role Rhys and Evangeline are practically guaranteed to appear.
