Ron Perlman voices the Inquisitor confirmed! ![]()
I get that Desire Demons likely just pick a form they *think* will appeal to their victim, but it's quite funny when 100% of Desire Demons read the character wrong 100% of the time.
Desire Demon: Oh heck! There's a mortal in the next room - I should quickly pick a form to appeal to them.
*becomes creepy naked woman-thing*
Desire Demon: "Behold mortal! I am here to... tempt you."
Me (the player): "... Um... You do realise I'm a straight female?"
Desire Demon: "Oh, well, this is awkward..."
Desire Demon: "Perhaps I can offer you a new set of shoes instead?"
Although in terms of the Tweet, I think it was just a joke. It seems like Demons don't really have a sexuality. They seem more interested in killing things than sleeping with them

Guys and gals: if I say you "purchase a talent," I mean "off a talent tree, with talent points." #woethatithascometothis

how much are these going to cost?
Just like before, talents are purchased with talent points, not money.

Is it true that mage characters can get a limited (semi-) "teleport" move instead of the roll ?
(Another) User
mages cannot "teleport", it's one of the cardinal rules of magic.

I know, that's why I said "semi". I believe I've seen Viv do such a move in a pre-alpha video, therefore I asked.
It's sort of a speedy "blink" move. Doesn't let you teleport, just move quickly.
How pretty are these shoes? I need details! Seriously I wish they would either have male sexualized desire demons as well, or change the look completely and make it look like it had the power and resources to actually give you your desire. The only thing it looks like it offers is sex an I'm not a lesbian.
Meh personally Unless its in a business suit i don't trust what its tempting offers are.
Fun fact, cops never go "undercover" in $1600 suits!

If one want's to be real pain in the ass, one should ask how much money these talent points will cost.
*laughs maniacally*
the #1 thing I think people who play games but don't make games don't understand is the sheer number of moving parts for very simple things

I would love to see more special features for games, making of, etc to go into more depth on game dev. May not fix, but might help.
Yeah, it's sadly rare that we have time during development to capture Real Live Making Of stuff. Got a game to make here!

I'm not sure Disney has got a grasp on the concept of pirates.

...which is basically the same thing, gameplay wise.

It's basically a Jedi handwave much like the Rogue's Assassinate or the Saarebas mini-non-teleport. Which I'm fine with as it looks like a handy ability. ![]()
Yes, but saying it one way - "teleporting" - breaks Established Game Lore - the horror! Saying it's just moving fast over a limited, short range while cloaked/too-fast-for-the-naked-eye or something, keeps it Lore Friendly. Because those who set their hearts and minds firmly on Established Game Lore tend to get upset otherwise.......which is basically the same thing, gameplay wise.

Hi i have a question since the game is using the new frostbite engine will it work on decent pc or do i need to buy a new one?
We'll try and make it scale as best we can to work on older machines, but if you do upgrade it should be pretty shiny.

...looks like limited, short range teleportation to me, which is awesome, which shall now be known - to me as Bamf-ing!I wants it!
I wouldn't be surprised if those Rogue Backstabs and Assassinates were inspired by Nightcrawler... ![]()

Nightcrawler as the inquisitor semi-confirmed rumor

Well, presumably it can't be used to bypass obstacles, which is a pretty important part of teleporting
so what type of 'roll' would the rogue class have?
Yeah, I was annoyed by the choice of shape for desire demons ever since we first saw them in a trailer before DA:O came out. They really ought to have taken a page from The Sandman's book in regards to how the Endless Desire was handled: http://sandman.wikia.com/wiki/Desire Way more intriguing, in my opinion, and an androgynous appearance would have made sense, given that the DA desire demons aren't overtly sexual most of the time.
But hey, if the tweet is actually an indication of desire demons who do their job more effectively in DA:I, when they're trying to tempt straight female or gay male Inquisitors, that'll be interesting.

I really do hope we'll be able to run it on pc like it would run on xbox 360 or something if we don't have a beast pc. I just saw the system specs for Watch dogs and I don't even meet the minimum requirements for my RAM and graphics card. Makes me worry I won't be able to run Inquisition after all D:

I think we've heard reference to a jumping ability for rogues in some of the magazine previews.
(And that would also explain who the green figure with double daggers is in the magazine screenshots, if the Inquisitor they were seeing was a rogue)

I really hope so as well. Looking at Battlefield 4's specs, based on the same engine, makes it seem like I can run Inquisition on my current laptop. But B4 was only current gen, not next gen as well. It's a bit worrying, seeing as upgrading is incredibly expensive. I know its far too early but I can't help but worry. I will have to check watchdogs out, see what its specs are.
Actually, I'm in the process of upgrading my PC, something prompted by the expectation of DAI. Gonna buy new CPU (i7-4770K) and motherboard this week, and install them during the holiday next week. Later I'm gonna buy 2 more RAM sticks (I have 2x8 GB currently). I hope that would be sufficient. I also hope my graphic card (7950) would be sufficient, as I bought it less than a year ago, I bought it on a great deal, and I just hope it won't come back bite me in the ass, because the card's not good enough.

16 gigs of memory is absolutely fine for anything but heavy duty video editing work. Save your money for if you need to upgrade the video card.
I'm not a huge computer whizz, but I'm hoping my Nvidia 650M will suffice. Not holding out much hope though.

Don't worry though, if you have the money (!!) to burn there's always this... http://www.nvidia.co...23-2103-uk.html
IMO, I think a 650M card/chip for laptops may struggle with DAI, as it is around 2 years old based on higher spec 2011 graphics chips; so a newer more suitable chip would be a GT755 or 760M. Anything with 1-1.5Gb of VRAM or higher should be OK with most current/next gen games.

Thanks for the advice! I have a funny feeling my GPU is slowing up my CPU anyways, damn card is always crashing
Ah well, off to save up them pennies and stop derailing the thread topic ![]()
