So... I'm the only one then who thought about 'corrupted' in a 'traditional' Thedas way — taint corrupted? We are going to get a Grey Warden, right? Maybe he was a Templar once. That gives a corrupted Templar.
Yes,for now the term corrupted is rather vague...It could mean anything, whether physically corrupted by the taint,or morally corrupted by who knows what.Or even that the character in question is viewed as corrupted by the society.

Perhaps a Red Templar could be considered a corrupted templar.

This is also highly possible, although I believe the term insane would suit him better,in that case.

Specifically, I wonder if a "corrupted" templar might be the ones that've turned into the red lyrium monsters. I don't recall if there's been a name for those guys yet. They seem like they'd almost be a counterpart to an abomination.

Maybe,Although to be honest I wonder if it's a real character in question or just simply a joke.

It seems a bit ridiculous to use a joke on Twitter as a guide to possible companions.
That's what the want us to think. They think they're inside of our heads, but they aren't, we ... we have the advantage. We will win and we will get the companion and LI list.

As I said when this started, I don't think we should read into it. But speculation is fun, even when it goes wild. ![]()
I do have some suspicions about Solas unrelated to the tweet. But considering how little we know, I wouldn't begin to assume anything.

Considering the lack of new info,I totally agree! ![]()
Hmm,I don't know although it would be a repetitive theme if Solas turns out to be possessed as well, especially if he's a healer as well...(If there is no other mage companion, who may have this specialization)...But then again everything's possible.

Yeah, it's like... They wouldn't do that again would they? But then again the pattern might suggest they would. ![]()
I think that if Solas is possessed though, we probably shouldn't assume that it's going to be exactly the same as what we've seen before. It's also possible that he isn't an abomination and is something like Cole. But I imagine that might only happen if Cole isn't a companion, because of the redundancy thing. Who knows.

Or maybe the templar companion (if one even exists) isn't Cullen at all. Maybe it's Samson!

Argh. No Nevarra. I thought that would be pretty cool, what with the politics with Orlais and Cumberland. I think Cassandra's from there as well.

Cassandra belongs to the nevarran royal line, irc. The Pentaghasts were also famed dragon hunters back in the day, before the dragons were believed to have gone extinct.

There is no were, they still are famous dragon hunters and going by how Cassandra kills dragons in Dawn of the seeker, they get plenty of practice despite the dragons being apparently extinct.
They are considered to be responsible for the dragon extinction as well (which suggest to me that the Pentaghasts and "Flemeth" have an history).

I think that maybe it was a joke that we're reading too much into. But hey, if they want to put a corrupted Cullen in my party, I won't argue about it. I don't want any abomination companions, though.
When are we not reading too much into things?

I hope I get to cuff Cullen upside the head the moment I meet him in this game (if he is in this game.) I'll be doing it on behalf of all the Hawkes in the world.
DA2 end game:
Meredith: "Rawr! We are going to kill the Champion now! He/she is a danger! Rawr!:
Hawke thinks: Oh here comes my buddy Cullen running up, great! He'll put that nutbar in her place!
Cullen: "Meredith! You have gone too far! This is unacceptable! We never talked of killing the champion!"
Hawke thinks: Good old Cullen, always knew he was a good egg.
Cullen: "We only agreed to arrest Hawke and toss him/her into the dungeons!"
Hawke: Wait....wut?
