really hoping he wasnt serious about cullen being an li or something because that means one of the male li slots is taken up by Generic Hot White Boy who is not only that but also has said such romantic, titillating gems as "mages cannot be treated like people". also canonically murdered several apprentices. i'm all hot n bothered already.
i aint gonna get up in arms about "fanservice" because its not like all the female lis weren't fanservice to some degree so male fanservice li is whatever. plus of course they want to appeal to the fans, thats who buys the game. but i am not thrilled with the prospect of one of the male lis being a character i want zip to do with. lets hope the other one is good :///

The whole 'murdering apprentices' thing has been retconned as rumours sadly.
i can't decide if that's good or bad. on the one hand it makes him less scary but on the other hand its a nice convenient way of making him a more palatable mage-hating generic white guy. not like he still hasnt canonically said some really awful things though.
who knows, maybe bioware will make him undergo some massive characterization change and i will actually want him to be on my screen for longer than 5 minutes at a go.

EDIT: Cheers, sorry, this was a pretty obnoxious thing to say. I got my hopes up for something I've been wanting for awhile, and took it out on a character whose going to be making a lot of people happy. My sincerest apologies.

oh i won't deny he's well written and pretty interesting from a character point of view even if he looks like a generic cologne ad model with ramen noodles for hair. i'm just going to be personally upset if he takes up an li slot because unless he's undergone some massive change of heart i don't wanna touch him with a forty foot pole.
I think Iron Bull is more likely to be a rogue than Feathers the Grey Warden is. Haven't we seen screen shots of Feathers with a shield? Whereas BioWare has conspicuously avoided saying anything about Iron Bull's class.
That would mean:
Warriors: Cassandra, Cullen, Feathers the Grey Warden
Rogues: Varric, Sera, Iron Bull
Mages: Vivenne, Solas
Or maybe we're getting four warriors, three rogues and two mages. In which case we're still missing a rogue.

I was assuming the warden was a warrior so we would have 4 warriors in total upsetting the balance.
Being Warrior heavy isn't new to the series. Origins was this way.

I never really saw them going for a 3-3-3 balance, i've always speculated that the balance would be 4-3-2 in some way with it having more warriors and either mage or rogue would get 3 and the later would get 2.No no Cullen go away! I don't want another warrior! Come on 3-3-3 balance, I've been dreaming of this! You want to be an LI, that's fine, go be an NPC LI.
Grey warden is a warrior considering he's always been shown with a shield and sword, and that the weapons are class restricted.Question: why would Cullen upset that balance?
