Nobody expects the Dragon Ageish Inquisition!

Edit: Why they waste their time on a new engine is beyond me... just polish the old one... Buıt well Frostbite 2 is cool.

Exciting news, but not much in the way of details.

I like the name, which suggests an intriguing premise.

NOBODY!

I hear their two main weapons are fear, surprise, and a ruthless efficiency.

Not shocking about the Inquisition but good to see it's officially confirmed. Personally I can't wait. I love the DA franchise and am looking forward to DA3.

Personally I like the idea of the customization of armor/companions. One thing DA2 lacked, and I also love the idea of the more expanded world. Maybe we will get to travel all over Thedas not just be restricted to a certain country or city.

All in all as of now I plan to pre-order DA3 and am excited to see the first look at what the game will be.

We'll see soon enough how much fan feedback they listened to or not. Personally, I'm not holding my breath.

I have some faith they've listened well on the gameplay side of things. They've acknoledged and have even presented a few solutions to several of DA2's problems.

For a deep or at least satisfying story? There I agree.

First of all: I did not expect it!

Second: I also dislike walks on the beach.

Third: There's always a third point. Ehm, yeah, I hope the game is good.

I'm not buying it unless I see good reviews about it and not reviews from places like IGN either.

So that makes leak truthful, like with Mass Effect 3. Well, after all they cannot screw more than Dragon age 2 already did.

You'd be surprised.

Anyway, I'm not holding my breath. I'll comment when I see more information or a gameplay video...though it's probably that there'll be lots of CGI teasers before any gameplay video is released.

And that your choices mattered. And that it wasn't rushed. Hahaha.
Those funny folks at Bio. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt.

"It could be worse" is never a good argument.

I was never a Dragon Age fan, but I'll give this one a benefit of a doubt until we see some more. Benefit of a doubt =/= sale or preorder.

Somebody asked for the Inquisition? NOBODY EXPEXTS THE INQUISITION!

Nice. DA3. Now we have to wait and see. No pre-order this time <_<

Accepting and encouraging fan feedback does not mean that BioWare is obligated to agree with it or implement it in any way. It just means that BioWare will take the feedback into consideration when planning and creating the game.

In addition to fan feedback, BioWare also considers internal feedback, how they themselves felt about the game and what they want to, can, or will change/improve. Fan feedback is ultimately non-binding, but it just makes sense that the more BioWare hears about some suggestions, the more they will be considered because it means more people are interested in that particular feature or idea. That does not mean, however, that the loudest, most obnoxious, and most frequent users will have their ideas considered more than others.

They should probably put up a different font with the black background....oh. It's white now!

With the new engine apparently being made and the 'Show, don't tell' policy, I'll see how things progress.  The main reason I couldn't get into DAII was the gameplay and the constant swarms of mooks, so if they can fix that, I may at least be stand playing the game.

What a coincidence, this announcement only a few days after Obsidian kickstarted Project Eternity.

It is the fans who will determine whether DA3 (and any other Bioware game, or game made by any other company) is a success or not, via their wallets. If DA3 fails to impress most of its audience, then you can expect underwhelming sales - and considering the disappointment most fans expressed with DA2, another ho-hum sequel will likely perform even more underwhelmingly than its predecessor, which will not bode well for the franchise as a whole.

It is wise, then, that the developers keep what their fans are most interested in in mind when developing this game. Many fans want a return to form for the DA franchise, so continuing with... whatever it was they hoped to accomplish with DA2, or taking the franchise further away from its roots, would be an ill-advised move at this point. I hope the team will keep that in mind as they work on this game - otherwise, I expect the game will blow up in their face much like its predecessor.
