I would actually love for them to be back. I always loved making a different warrior in D&D based on Dex or Con or Strength and mix and match that stuff. But the DA att. never seemed that flexible. I feel it should be looked at thoroughly and it should be considered how each attribute can be more or less valuable for all three classes.
Will Attributes be back?

Hope not. Unless they can make them matter a bit more.

RPG elements on a RPG?

Well the reality is that certain classes will always be better attuned to certain builds with attributes. That said I'd like to see Bioware make the secondary attributes for a certain class get a little more incentive to invest in.

I wouldn't be entirely surprised; Bethesda completely scrapped attributes in Skyrim and replaced them with the horribly balanced system of "skills."

I think they got enough flame for streamlining da2, hopefully they don't try and streamline it even more now or it would just mean that have ignored the criticism about da2.

I'd like to see attributes matter more in dialogue again. Getting an extra option because you are intelligent or cunning, or can intimidate based on your strength, made sense.
As for taking them out entirely, I will just say it would not bode well, for my hopes for DA3. That would be a big warning sign to me.

I love attributes. Isn't that what building a character is all about? Using a skills system would be a bad idea for DragonAge in my opinion.

There are plenty of RPGs that don't use attributes or use an extremely pared down system like Jade Empire. But I prefer the D+D-esque six attribute system we've had so far. DA2 actually improved on the attributes in some ways, making them all potentially useful for any character, but the way the system was built encouraged you to over-invest in just two you so you have these wildly unbalanced characters in order to keep up with the combat.
Although Bioware does have a history of just removing things instead of revising them, I hope they take the DA2 attribute system and balance it differently.

I hope so. I would also like attributes to effect quite a bit of important things, so stat-dumping isn't as appealing.
