So, we all know EAs current and future policy of not supporting any SP only games any longer.

Not my opinion how things should be going, but well, I'll live with it.

But that doesn't change the fact there have been rumours on DAIII MP elements (CoOp for example) and the more wild guesses went dead ahead at a more or less competitive versus MP (just pointing out existing opinions here, nothing official or even closely resembling as such!).

The question is, how would you see MP/online elements for DAIII:I?
Would you like it to stay the way it is right now, with little online stuff at all, just focus on the SP experience with the little required online stuff they need to get approval, or do some people here have ideas on how to enrich the DA franchise with online or MP elements/modes, like more community networking, or maybe even fullblown MP?

SP experience only. I want to return to the sheer story telling magic we had in DA:O.

Besides, how am I going to add all these cool mods in if we an non-cheating MP system?

Sure, as long as it's fun and doesn't compromise single player then I don't see any reasonable downside.

If they're splitting up the team in Edmonton and Montreal like they did with ME3 MP, I see no problems at all.

It shouldn't be too hard for the developers to seperate MP and SP data in a way that modding the one still leaves the other one unaffected, amateur guessing here.

I can agree to this if...

1: No connection the the singleplayer game. It can be "in" the story and setting, but you don't need to play it to gather points, so that you can get the best ending(*COUGH*me3*COUGH*)

2: Not use it as an excuse to allways keep the game online. I know EA isn't Ubisoft, but still, I wouldn't be surprised.

Other than that, no,I don't have aproblem with it. Had a lot of fun with ME3's multiplayer, so why not?

No greenlighting on any solely single player games so yeah Im sure were getting it. Better accept it now I say...

If its a co-op mode like Baldurs then I would be quite happy if im honest. I really dont want another horde mode type game where you slaughter waves of Darkspawn ect.

No multiplayer whatsoever or they'll probably have to release a unfinished product again. Every penny should go into improving the actual game and not into DLC marketing campaigns or online modes.

I'd certainly try it out! I made a thread about Myth: The Fallen Lords being a perfect DA MP experience and I still think that's true. As long as the SP story isn't diminished by MP, sign me up!

As long as the multiplayer portion is kept completely separate from the singleplayer portion, no problem with me.

And I do mean completely. None of that influencing the ending business ME3 post-EC had.

One of the devs said something about DA2 satisfying the online requirement, so there's no guarantee we'll see ME3 style MP.  Not that I'd complain.  I feel a mixture of pride and shame in my N7 of 1300.

Not bothered about MP. Like some other posters have said, why not, if it's separate from the SP game, and doesn't compromise the quality of that.

Agreed, it was a big blunder with the war readiness bit.  Other than that I see them doing things in a similar fashion to ME3 multiplayer.

- No pause
- Stripped down set of abilites to use.
- Co-op missions.
- No cost to play but the option to buy stuff if you wish.

No matter what they do there will be much whinging about it and blaming it ofr any and all ills though that much is certain.

I seriously hope they're not gonna think about MP in this game. Their servers can't even handle the load for ME3. Whether it's a separate entity or not, there are going to be issues with it. If the devs have learned anything, these games are not ready for multiplayer at all.

It'll probably be the norm of a unique horde mode based off the universe of the game itself, so like ME3's repetitive MP, which isn't bad, but could of used more story focused elements as well.

I cannot see a PVP based MP, but who knows.

Sure since I have someone to play with and I'm sure it wont take an resources away from SP

I do not want it to tie into SP story outcomes like it did with Mass Effect 3 however.

Just don't let it affect the actual game and I don't care. Who knows, I might actuallly like it - ME3 MP is fun enough as a free extra even if I wouldn't spend any money on it.

If they can find some way to bring the addictiveness of ME3s multiplayer into the Dragon Age setting, I will be thrilled. But good Lord Bioware, come up with a decent store system this time around. None of this random crap. Let me buy the swords and staffs I actually want. Or just make them level unlocks. Anything other than the way ME3 is set up.

Considering how ME3 MP bores me to death (actually, any kind of horde mode) and I haven't seen an interesting/fun MP mode in blockbuster games this gen besides AC and Borderlands, I really fear an announcement of this kind for DA3.
And the use of the Frostbite engine doesn't get my hopes up in the slightest.

There are a LOT of MP games out there, there is choice. Do we really need MP in DA3?

As long as the SP is untouched by MP and it's not got some intertwined story I'd be happy to see what they can pull off

I don't want MP for the DA series, but yes, it sounds like it's gonna happen either way. If it's like ME3, a lot of people will NOT be happy. Honestly, I liked the capability they had set up for NWN. Those live mods could be really cool, yet were totally separate from the SP campaign and SP mods. If they could do something similar to that, I'd be down with it. Just a thought.

What a sec. You can say you don'tlike. But you can't say other won't nor say a bunch of people don't like ME3 mp. That's not true at all.

I can easily see it working.
