coop would be great in my opinion, I always thought Dragon Age (beeing party based) would work well with coop.

But anything else, no way.

Also it is supposedly more then likely going to be Co-op and I had heard of the possibility of a 5 character party.

For whatever ridiculous reason, people on the BSN seem to ignore evidence that contradicts their fears.  Even when presented with evidence that supports a more desireable outcome, they'll believe it too good to be true or EA wouldn't allow it because it isn't "bankable."  <_<

Just as a clarification, I am not a general EA basher, unlike a lot of other people.

I wasn't necessarily responding to your post.  It was just an observation I've picked up from browsing these forums for a few years.

No MP in a single player game. Release it as a separate game instead. That way it won't be connected to the SP campaign and it will definitely be developed on a separate budget. I know they say it will be anyway, but you only pay for one game so how is that possible? They can't make that much from item pack sales in MP, since they must need money to keep the servers up and running well. Or maybe I am just totally wrong about this..

If suppose you are to pick a side between mages or templars depending on your end choice in DA2, then you could have a battleground as in WoW.

I suppose we will get mp no matter what but with it being story driven game it probably wont be a coop unless its similar to fable 3 where the second character didn't influence much. The second option and something which seems much safer to me is something along me3 with seperate mp only characters with a horde mode and/or battlegrounds. We can only hope that he mp wont hinder the singleplayer.

If they were going to do it I'd like to either have the option to have a friend take control of a party member or have a friend's Inquisitor temporally join the party. It would be sort of like the co-op in Baldur's Gate 2.

I really don't want a tacked-on ME3 like multiplayer mode.

Completely separate from the single player campaign with no bearing on it AT ALL. I don't want another ME3 where you're forced to play multiplayer to get a good endi... oh wait... never mind.

I'll stick with my opinion though: Multiplayer is fine (I'd rather they don't waste resources on it but it's their choice) as long as I do not have to play it and I do not miss out on anything single player related when I choose not to be a part of it.

I can guarantee DA3 will have MP, and it will be the same RNG system that Mass is.

You know why? It makes money. EA likes money. Plain and simple.

Definitely not, I can't see how they could make the group based combat to fit mp.

Myself I'd like it if the mp mode WAS connected to sp, though not like it was handled in ME3. Instead of it being a requirement where you are penalized for not raising EMS in multiplayer (well, before the fix), any bonus you get from mp into sp should be extra. Maybe you can unlock some cool gear or some money or something.

Yes, I agree.  Though it is not without merit and enjoyment.  If ME3 multiplay royally sucked it would not be as successful as it is and have lasted as long as it has and the cash part is for the most part voluntary.

I want no multiplayer at all. However, that won't happen. If they're going to add multiplayer, I'd want a separate story-based cooperative campaign or series of missions (can add more as DLC over time) with up to 4 players in a party. I'd recommend one person be designated as the leader of the party and make the conversation choices (or the companions all click the one they want and vote on it). It would allow for greater tactical depth with Dragon Age-style combat. And having co-op story missions running in tangent with the main campaign would be pretty epic.

I will be very upset if they have competitive team deathmatch-style mp.

How did you enjoy the ME3 MP ?
RNG market system ? Mircotransaction ? Bugs ... ? No rather not... I just need good SP campaign and not some rubbish with laughable attempt for co-op MP kind of ME3.

I wouldń´t be against co-op MP in SP campaing, as for example you could play with friends for different characters and together you could beat the game but not some kind of ME3 MP segment.

Most important of all, the MP needs to be completely unessential to finishing the game. Players who don't want to play MP shouldn't feel forced to.

But I personally love the ME3 MP and I would like to be able to play with friends. I'm thinking that co-op in the SP campaign could be cool if implemented right. But I'm open to anything as long as it doesn't affect those who want nothing to do with it.

I'd also love to see more utilisation of the online profile. When I played DAO like 2 years after everyone else, my sister could follow my playthrough and comment without risk of spoiling the story for me through my online profile. I thought that was a great feature! Being able to save and share builds would be great too. That way it'd be easy to ask for advice in the forums as well.

I'd also like to see better forum avatars based on my PC. I still use my mage from Origins, but I want to be able to use my current PC and since I'm on Xbox I can't just grab a screenshot easily.

It's fun, that is how.  Group coop team play.  As with any game or system it is not for everyone and has it's flaws but more than enough people do enjoy it or it would not exist right now.

People, DA3 Multiplayer is happening whether you like it or not.  Either come up with suggestions on how you would want to see it work or don't.  Sure, nothing is confirmed, but a company policy that only greenlights games with multiplayer should be a big sign of things to come.  This whole "No Multiplayer, Single Player Only" isn't helpful.  Join the conversation in a constructive manner please.

Getting back on topic, I think multiplayer and single player should be connected, but not in the way ME3 was.  Having multiplayer games lead to unlocking items one could use in single player would be ideal.  No items would be unique to single multiplayer though.  That way, if you want it in single player, all you have to do is spend some gold.  Multiplayer should also be story driven in my opinion.

Considering most other leaks and rumors have ended up being more or less true, I'm guessing http://kotaku.com/58...ng-multiplayer' class='bbc_url' title='External link' rel='nofollow external'> this rumor about DA3's multiplayer from last November has some truth to it:

Apparently, dragons will also be playable in Dragon Age multiplayer, giving players the chance to go head-to-head with foes in fire-breathing, swooping-through-the-air dragon form.

The insider wasn't sure if Dragon Age multiplayer was going to be part of a full, stand-alone title (ala Dragon Age 3) or available separately as a downloadable game. It is apparently being developed on DICE's Frostbite 2 game engine (used for Battlefield 3), and even early-on the game apparently looks stunning.

The multiplayer is supposedly an arena-based affair and features player versus environment (PvE) elements as well as player versus player (PvP), as well as humans fighting dragons. Details on what PvE battles entail are scant.
