1: Greater weapon-to-class flexibility. I have yet to play any rpg aside from Dragon's Dogma that alowed single standard size sword. And an actual melee staff wouldn't go amiss either.

2: Companion physical customization a-la SWTOR. That way we choose the companion for their personality and not their appearance.

3: Armor color/viable awesome. Color is confirmed already, but I'd like to keep that one really cool chestpiece or pair of gloves and not be forced to switch out for stats if something else just plain looks better. Same with the weapons.

4: Species variety: I think it would be really cool if we could play as a hybrid, say half-human half-elf or something like that. Maybe Kossith. Oh: can we possibly become a werewolf? I can dream.

5: Combine voice work of 1 and 2: yes, I know having multiple voice options for a fully voiced protagonist is unrealistic, but hey. You asked what I'd like to see.

P.S.: I'd like the full beards to not screw with the facial customization, have longer hairstyle options (but keep the current ones as well, please), scars, greater physical build customization, time-lapse appearance change (toggle off/on) and-or in-customization like the black emporium's mirror, greater ability to customize family member setup, increased optional romance content, the ability to create companions+backstory, unlimited inventory, companion romance triangle (as in another companion aiming for the same one you are), return of Dog, the ability to be the good guy and still have the funny lines, but wait! I can think of more, just give me a second...

Edit: Jumping! Ememy climbing/grapple (greater overall mobility), more sarcasm from protagonist/companions, less loading screens, no inescapable SGAs, non-companion romance, better crafting system (eg. actual blacksmithing), I'm not done yet!

  • More active combat systems, like in ME3. The whole nwn or kotor system is cool, but actually having more Skyrim like combat system would be more engaging.
  • Keep the DA2 skill/talent system. worked really well and simple to navigate while providing a depth of options for play styles.
  • More indepth charachter devlopment. I love that bioware spends alot of time on charachter and story. Its why I bought into Mass Effect and Dragon Age. I think more companies need to return to the classic character arcs, so please please give me a rich story and engaging dialogue.
  • More diverse ranged weapons. I usually play as a archer/ranger type character being able to handle more than just bows or crossbows would be cool.
  • bring back more playable races and a broader story. Its fun being able to play from the pov of an elf or a dwarf instead of a human sometimes.
Keep up the good work Bioware. I was one of the few who liked the original me3 ending without the extra content. You guys do great work and keep games interesting, especially in an industry that is moving more towards fps and action and getting away from the classics of story telling and wraping a player in an experience they help to create.

Hmm... I haven't really thought about this... How about decent storyline, decent characters and decent customisation? Unlike a certain DA game that I don't care for...

1. The ability to choose my race
2. Fenris, or an equally attractive male LI with a feminine physique
3. More tactical combat
4. Say what you will about DA2, but the combat animations were orgasmic; feel free to reuse them.
5. Longer gameplay; possibly with replayability.

1. More character customization features. New tattoos/hair styles/eye shapes/etc etc I was very happy with the hair and skin color choices in DA2! Keep it up!
2. Cameos ofc of past companions! If they become actual companions for a mission or two or something like that, that is also a plus. I don't really mind if they come back AS companions since it seems Dragon Age does not usually go the route of bringing back the big name companions. I love new characters and exploring new backgrounds anyway.
3. Less angsty dark past backgrounds for companions???? Oh who am I kidding. I love the drama, as long as we get reprieves between where some good old party snark soothes my wounds.
4. Less. Recycled. Areas. If they changed NOTHING ELSE, I would be content.
5. I was one of those advocating the button mash in DA2, but after replaying DA:O I think there needs to be a better "inbetween". Is it possible to have hack and slash AND strategy play? I love the animations okay. I did. I was shocked though because when normally I can't go above "Normal" gameplay on Origins I could play the highest level on DA2 easily. Something is wrong in the force....

1.  I basically just want it to go back to being like dragon age origins and just change or improve upon its weak points.

2.  So start by keeping the gameplay/controls and interface of dragon age 2 since It was better and definitely improved the game for everyone. The ideal control scheme for me has a combination of the real time and constant action controls of DA2 with the pop up radial menu of DAO which was handy since it gave you time to prepare, control, setup, or just find a spell or power to use or activate quickly while paused just like the interface in mass effect but much more options in it.

3. Keep it open world as much as possible somewhat like DAO but even more if possible. Also more choices as to where you come from and what character and class you can be for example instead of just dwarf, elf, human, maybe we can add Qunari, and more backgrounds like you can be from antiva, and as far as classes maybe add barbarian, witch, etc have more classes or specializations this time around. Also give us more battles or at least maybe allow more enemies to respawn so that there's more replay value. I hated that enemies didnt respawn ever after you swept or cleared an area. So even if it was an area like lets say the deep roads which is supposed to be covered with darkspawn and other enemies all the time it didnt matter because when you went back it would still be empty if you had already cleared that area before. There should be areas where enemies respawn and differently every time so if you fought 3 enemies last time the next time you travel to that area there could be 3 different types of enemies or even more then 3 this time around like in most games.

4. Please have plenty of choices, dialogue, and characters and please don't try to make the game linear like bioware has been doing with its games recently.A great example is the Mass Effect series. If you look at it from ME1 to ME3 it started off right, very open, lots of dialogue, choices, characters, open world somewhat that you could explore, good looting systems, plenty of outcomes, plenty of replay value and all it needed was better controls/interface. So it did fix the controls/interface of the original but it also slowly with ME2 to ME3 started to took away some of the best features of the original by making changes that wasnt needed and at the same time making the game more fast paced, cinematic! and linear like most mainstream action games and less like the action RPG game that it started off as.

5. A coop mode for both offline and online would be nice but not needed if it interferes with the campaign side to much. An offline coop mode could work and woud be easier to add in. Basically the first player would be the main player/warden and would make all the decisions since its his quests and th second player would control one of the followers. Now an online coop mode would have to be and work like an online MMO or just allow players to join each other on quests as followers and such. I mean an online RPG has so many possibilities and ways to go so I ont know what would be best but I know it old be great and endless so it might not be the right time to do it. But an offline mcoop mode woul be nice and more possible.

As one of your older, non-male players my number one wish is for there to be romance similar to the extent of DAO!! I love the fight but can we balance it out a bit more than was seen in Dragon Age 2? I love the indepth dialogue between players, the deeper the better! Unexpected twists are always impressive too! <3:innocent::D

1- Open world / be able to visit & revisit areas from the last two games

2-Make all if the NPC's available to use, and choice of continuing your hawke character( romance and all).

3- speaking of romance, its a M- rated game. If you choose to romance a NPC then make it more adult theme all the way around. The last games were pre-teen lol .

4- Toolset for all platforms.

5- better combat. For example more then one button for basic attack, and something like a blend of the last two combat style systems.

1) 4 seasons and time (day/night)
2) Better interaction with companions. And also some with strong unforgetable personality like what we have in Origin.
3) Qunari like Sten. DA2 Quanaris are too much...!
4) A better final logo.
5) Breaking all design rules that make Mage looking like nuns. Why mages have to be slim tall dressed like potatoes bag??? same for the other class. We need something new and original.

1. Build your own network of spies, merchants, and armorers. You know, for the Inquisition.
2. The ability to spare major antagonists(like Loghain). As a companion, an ally through some other means, or, for some, they just get back up and try to kill you again.
3. Don't make my blood mage automatically the bane of every living being. NPCs should be suspicious, sure, but I should be able to prove that I have good intentions.
4. Romance a non-combatant. Just to shake things up. Something like Chambers, or Traynor.
5. Bring back DAO persuasion. I don't want my ability to manipulate people to be based on my personality.

1. The ability to pick voices for our character, I've know we can pick our own origin but I hoping that we can pick our voices as well since a lot of people don't really want an Orlesian accent me personally I would love to do an aggressive playthrough sounding like Baron Arlange

2. I would love to see more of the big choices consider those who would rather be neutral or be like the rogues in DA:2. Frankly I'm a bit tired of having really black and white "with us or against us" choices, so definitely hoping that a 3rd option for sarcastic/rogue players is at least considered even if it involves more work on the player's part to be a choice.

3. Since we are playing as a new person I would like to see all old characters that make cameo stay that way and not come back as LI. So for the people who want Cassandra or Cullen for LI's I would prefer that than seeing Leliana/Morrigan back to be LIs

Another thing related to this is that I would prefer if the cameos make sense rather than be there for the sake of being there, like I expect Leliana will be in the game what with being a Seeker and all but I'd be shocked if for example, we see Merrill come back as a cameo especially if anyone romanced her and Hawke is absent.

4. I would like to have the combat have two main attacks without having to resort to spells/talents and do combos even learning more as you level up, I know that Bioware is trying to combine DA:O and DA:2's combat and that might actually be better but I'll withhold judgement until I see it in action.

5. I'm pretty sure there's going to be an online component in this game so since we haven't heard much about it...

Best case is that it's just a social feature, you can just show your PC to your friends, show what personality your PC has, show what weapon you prefer, who you romanced, what choices did you make in the game, what characters you're friends with and what ones are you rivals with along with the rest of the players.

"You and 56% of the players sided with the mages" or something like that.

Worst case: It's another horde mode with three main factions being Mages, Templars, and Qunari with Darkspawn being release later as DLC.

Again we don't know much about where this game is in development if I had to guess I'd say they got the jist of what they're gonna do for the story finished and are working on building the maps and world right now so I'll to again withhold judgement on what Bioware wants to do with this game til we hear more

On a minor note please make Walking Bomb back to the way it was in Origins. I want to see a gory explosion everytime it goes off like it did before.

Here's what I'd like to see:

(1) A convincing neutral personality and/or neutral conversation options for the protagonist, that doesn't/don't result in not taking things seriously. I want to play a protagonist who weighs things carefully and is slow to judge, but who does take things seriously, as opposed to the "neutral" personality in DA2.

(2) Closure for Morrigan's story. I want to know what became of her, and her plans.

(3) Less over-the-top combat. I loved DAO's combat, and hated DA2's with a passion. DA2 is the only game I know where combat gameplay got in the way of my enjoyment of the game as a whole, and where it's the reason I don't play it anymore.

(4) Let controversial characters keep their controversial features, don't make all character development about removing them. This is a wish based on the fact that in ME3, most characters were made to develop into generic good guys/gals in the end with all controversial features removed. I do not like that. The DA character development had less of this traditionalist, sometimes even reactionary vibe, but I'd just like to mention: don't take your cue from ME in this. Also, don't make all personal conflicts of the characters about family like ME tended to do. Having bigger concerns usually makes a character more interesting and less generic and soap-opera-ish.

(5) Make characters dress for the occasion. No more having a date in heavy armor, please! If that compromises characters' "iconic" qualities, then so be it! At some point, a minimum of realism has to take priority over easy recognizability.

1. An epilog – I loved the text epilog in Dragon Age: Origins. It is such a simple tactic to give players closure, and make them feel like their decisions matter.  I loved that the epilog focused on more than just the main chapter ends too. It also talked about the lives you touched from some of the smallest quests (like the boy you can help in that first village, who later grows up to be a mighty hero).  At the end of Dragon Age: Origins I felt like my character had made a profound and positive impact on the world.  At the end of Dragon Age 2 I felt like my character had broken the world.

2. Choices that matter – I’d like to be able to replay and change most of the major events in the game.  For me, DA: O every chapter end had several different outcomes, and at least one of those outcomes allowed you to save people or take a heroic path.  The sheer variety of possible outcomes and orgin stories make this game highly replayable.

3. Hopeful outcomes to major story events - DA2 let me feeling like my character broke everything she touched.  There was no way to avoid, circumvent, or “fix” any of the terrible things that happened in the game.  At the end, I felt like my character broke the world.  That she was more of a villain than a hero, because none of the good I did seemed to have any real impact on the world, where as the bad I unwittingly participated in changed the face of Ferelden. It's one thing to have a dark story, it's another to have a hopeless one.  At the end, I want to feel like my character was a hero, that made the world a better place for being in it.

4. A rich, large and exploreable world with no re-used maps. I love being able to run around and take in the sights in a world.  Finding hidden nooks, mysterious ruins, or with quests out in the wild.  Things in the world that don’t serve a purpose for the main story but hint at mysteries of the past – these elements really immerse me in the world, and make it come alive for me.

5. Answers to some of the long standing mysteries - or at least more hints.  Who is Flemeth really? Who or what is Sandal?  What happened to the Warden?  And Hawke? What's going on with Morrigan's baby?  I have so many questions!

1. Arcane mage (a real one, with heavy plate and sword !)
2. better healing design than in DA2
3. make my choices matter (great in DAO, not enough in DA2)
4. improved combat that allow use take different approche for a same fight (i was bored in DA2 to often do the exact same sequence in the same order mostly, it was very repetitive)
5. New game + with extra levels, extra skills, extra difficulty, extra loot for our favorit characters would be nice too, i mean, adding replayability but not only by choosing a new class.

I'll try to keep this simple but I bet it will get out of hand.

1. Full character customization that you would expect from a traditional Bioware RPG. This means that you have more than just 3 classes to choose from, or at least prestige or specialization classes to pick from down the line. These different classes should play very differently from each other. In DA2 the rogue and warrior were basically the same, but DA:O got it right. It also means that characters can use interchangeable gear (within reason of course). So a rogue or thief can use the same short sword that a warrior can. Or if for some reason you wanted to put the a mage's cowl on a rogue because it gave him an intelligence boost then you can do that too. Customizing characters through abilities and gear is a huge part of RPG's and when you guys watered down these elements in DA2 it made the game less interesting. When in doubt, always give the player MORE freedom to customize character.

2. NPC's should NOT be conceptualized from a "check the box" mindset. That is, frankly, how it felt with the romances in DA2, where characters were made LGBT seemingly just to "check the box". Romance should really be a secondary aspect to NPC's. Party NPC's need to be fleshed out and make sense from a character standpoint. This same problem happened in ME3 with LGBT characters and it felt cheap. Having LGBT characters is fine but first and foremost they need to be fantasy characters in a video game and they need to fit into the story in a way that is meaningful beyond their sexuality. They need to be multifaceted. Additionally, don't include characters simply for nostalgia's sake. This was a MAJOR problem in ME3. It felt like great characters were being reduced to cameos. They would pop up and then die seemingly at random. It was forced, and not good.

3. As far as story goes, I imagine that it is too late for you guys to rewrite the main quests but here's my two cents. Sideline the Templar/Mage conflict to secondary quests or resolve it in the first or second acts. For the primary story arc, bring back the Darkspawn. One of the things I really liked about DA:O was all the lore surrounding religion and creation myths and how Darkspawn were a mysterious element in that. Other story arcs that should be continued (note how I say continued and NOT wrapped up), are the stories of Flemeth and Morrigan. And finally, please do not make it bleak and grim without any ability for a "good" character to save the day. DA2 frequently felt like there was no opportunity for players to make everything turn out ok if that was what they really wanted. This is a Bioware RPG after all!

4. On combat, I really think you guys need to slow it down a bit from DA2. Keep it tactical and reward prudent use of the tactics system. A great part of combat in DA:O was that you had three different play styles accommodated. The "dungeon crawler" where a player just controls there main dude and hacks people apart like it were an action game. The "puppet master" where armchair generals get to issue detailed commands and micro manage every fight through pausing. And the "auto pilot" where players can set up tactics commands to a point where every NPC does their job well and the player can just sit back and let them go at it. DA2 only really supported the "dungeon crawler" play style. Also we NEED auto attack.

5. And finally, I think you guys should introduce some new game mechanic that really takes things to the next level. I'm thinking an RTS component where players can engage in epic battles. I'm talking armies assaulting castles, armies clashing on the field of battle, armies fighting up and down congested city streets. You get the idea. This is the third installment in a medieval fantasy series. Make it BIG. And give players some control over how these battles go.

EPIC LIST OF WHAT WILL MAKE DRAGON AGE 3 PURE AWESOME!

1. Add a "skip combat" button. Sometimes I just want to give my fingers a rest from button mashing, so a "skip combat" button would help a LOT.

2. Add a "do sex" option. I don't like to have to speak through all these dialog trees just to get to the sexy parts. Just add a default action to the NPCs called something like "Do sex" which will play the a sex scene with that NPC.

3. Add "auto combat". Sometimes I like watching the awesome! part of combat but I don't want to do anything. Add a button that I can push that will make combat go into auto mode so I can just sit back and watch how awesome and bad**** I am.

4. Remove the inventory and the equipment stuff. Seriously, I don't have time to go through all this stuff, just remove it, thanks. So totally not needed.

5. Make the story simple. Just tell me who the bad guy is in the beginning of the story and say something like "Bad gai keeled ur wife!" (so I can have something to point to when trying to convince my friends how awesome the story is). Fill the rest of the game with NPCs and companions making hackneyed one liners with their 1-dimensional personalities. See how awesome! that would be?

6. Remove stats. I mean seriously, why are these even still here? Just get rid of the stats and attributes. They are totally superfluous and just add confusion.

7. Cut 99% of all abilities/spells. I really don't know whythfha there are so many abilities, just get rid of them all and just have our basic attacks do combos with repeated button mashes. See? Easy. Only keep like 1 or 2 abilities which when you press basically turn the screen into a giant fetish of ultraviolance which should cause the endorphins in my brain to explode and all my friends to respond with "Oh dude that is so bad****, you are such a bad**** at this game".

8. Remove conversations/dialog wheel. I mean this is just stupid. I don't even know why there is conversation/dialog wheel in the game right now? I don't want to have to think about choices and stuff, I just want to pwnsumnub. Just remove this whole system please..ehm, I mean "streamline" it, thanks.

9. Remove the different types of monsters and immunities and all that. This really p!sses me off. Why should I have to keep track of what monsters are immune to what stuff?? Just have every monster be the same and take full damage from my attacks. In fact, just remove the whole 'numbers' part from combat. I don't want to have to worry about this sh!t when I am being so pro.

10. Remove the leveling up. I am shocked this is still in game right now, how is this even needed? Just remove the "leveling up" stuff altogether. Yea sure, you can maybe unlock a few new swords or something when you get to a certain part in the story, but just remove the rest of this crud (why do we need it anyway? its just so useless).

Do those 10 things and your game will be PERFECT! You can thank me later bioware.
and that wasTHE MOST EPIC LIST OF AWESOME STUFF THAT WILL MAKE DRAGON AGE 3 PURE AWESOME!
