1)Please, let the hunter class come back, pweeese. I want forest animals to help my Inquisitor, I always create a goody-two-shoes Disney-princess styled character and I need summoning abilities to make i happen.
No, seriously, give me my bears back.
2)Also griffins.
3)And can you get rid of the spiders, it's ridiculous, how come every fantasy game has to rape me in the face with them, come on! Especially DA:O never fails to trigger my arachnophobia, ugh.
4)More banter. A LOT more banter. DA:O style. surprise kisses in the middle of a battlefield - party comments. I also hope that the new characters don't hate each other's guts. I wanted to slice Fenris's throat when he talked to Merill or anyone, really.
5)Let me hate templars. I really hate them. I'm going to be really upset if you don't let me kill them. That's just how I roll.

I'll pare it down to three.

1. Procedural, dynamic dialogue backed by a robust IC-knowledge system supplemented by the codex including misconceptions a PC may have about other topics. Factor in class and character background with initial codex entries and available dialogue options. If our character is a mage, there's no need for a mage NPC to exposit to us what a maleficar is or what the four schools of magic are...nor a real need to run around picking up codex entries for magic-related topics. If our character is, say, a human commoner there's no way they'll know anything about magic and should have codex entries that actually reflect misinformation, superstition, or misconception on the topic, which should then be reflected in dialogue choices.

So, if an NPC is expositing about something the PC already knows, or thinks they know, you can interrupt them or tell them to skip the lengthy explanation...which can have repercussions in the form of hostility, amusement, approval loss or gain, and the like. This way, a person can RP a quiet, active listener or a bloviating, willfully ignorant jerkass of a PC if they like.

Likewise, allow us to select tonality and phrasing of dialogue options with according immediate consequence.

2. Mass combat. Come on, let us play general/tactician for once. The setting is ripe for it.

3. No more JRPG garbage. By that I mean no "big sprawling maps of completely linear pathways and encounters", no hyper-stylized combat and cinematics, no completely implausible aesthetics or armor/clothing/hair/face design, no JRPG tropes. Dragon Age is a western, dark fantasy, RPG series inspired by predominantly European fantasy and sources, and it should stay such. Mixing WRPG and JRPG is just no bueno, in my opinion, and the attempt to blend eastern RPG aspects into DA2 fell extremely short and betrayed customer expectation.

If I want a JRPG I'll buy a JRPG. The last thing the gaming scene needs are fewer developers and publishers making WRPG titles, especially one that made their good name and reputation being one of less than a handful of holdout companies making WRPG's during the JRPG glut of the late nineties and early oughts. Leave "JRPG'ing up" Dragon Age to the modders.

I'd like to see class specific means of completing quests. Like, a rogue can sneak past guards, a warrior can smash open a stuck door, or a wizard can magically disguise itself through. Something that differentiates my class other than what I'm wearing and how I commit murder.

1. Great story.
2. Lots of quests.
3. Unique outdoor areas and caves/dungeons instead of re-used ones.
4. Ability not only to re-level your PC like with Maker's Sigh potions in DA2, but also to switch classes.
5. More quickslots for spells, abilities and items in the console version. You could have 12 slots, i.e. twice the amount of DA:O and DA2, if you could use LT (Xbox) or L2 (PS3) as well:
- 1st set: X, Y, B (or square, triangle, and circle on PS3)
- 2nd set: hold RT / R2
- 3rd set: hold LT / L2
- 4th set: hold both LT and RT / L2 and R2
Switching characters and selecting the whole party can be done easily with the d-pad; up/down to switch, left and/or right to select all.

Well, I don't know what I would like to see, but I strongly know what I don`t like to see: something like Dragon Age II...

I hope to see another great game, like Dragon Age:Origins was. Plase, don't disappont me ;-)

1). An epilogue similar to that of Dragon Age:Origins + Awakening.

-The slideshow was amazing, because it was so simple, but it gave you such a large amount of closure that several great games have missed the mark on. And one just as malleable, too. Origins was great because there was such interactivity that ten people could play the game, and the opportunity existed for them to all have had a different epilogue description for each character. Many of the choices you made throughout the game were little, but the epilogue still made them important by giving them even the slightest mention; "You remember that five gold you gave away? We didn't forget about it. That girl went on to open up a distillery and marry a nobleman." That just blew me away and I loved the wholeness that it provided. So in DA3: Inquisition, I'd love to see an epilogue fashioned after the one found in the first game of the series.

2). A more significant impact from the choices you made in the previous games.

-In some places, Dragon Age II did this really well, dialogue-wise. Your Grey Warden became King-Consort of Fereldan? Lelianna mentions that he became a great king, for example. More closure/wholeness/point to choices in the first place. But in other places, the ball was dropped a little. It doesn't matter if the outcome is good or bad, I think I can speak for many gamers when I say that the important part is that we get some sort of consequence, or nod that we didn't waste our time and effort with a particular choice. Maybe in DA3:I our story can be changed by choices such as the fate of Anders/Justice and how it changes the mages/templar rebellion at hand, the friendship/rivalry status of Sebastian affecting Starkhaven, even maybe have Alistair play sort of role, one if he became king, one if he remained a warden, and even one if he was a Kirkwall Drunk. Anything to help make you feel like your DA3 experience is different from anyone else's. It's something I know I loved about Dragon Age: Origins, because there was so, so much interactivity as a player. Essentially, reward players who have played through the entire series.

3). Full DLC Companions similar to Shale/Sebastian.

-Even if you don't have the option to purchase them right away and they get introduced at a later date, they really give you motivation to replay through the game so you can see the role that they play. The Mass Effect series had Zaeed, Kasumi, Javik, and I think they were considerably important characters, and their introduction was enough for me to go back through the game again and try to find each and every piece of their unique dialogue. And while I love Sebastian's character (because there are so many different things that can be done with him for the upcoming game), I think Shale has been the best so far. Shale has been significant enough to reach beyond just being a "DLC Companion." Shale has appeared in some of the DA Novels, gets mentioned in Dragon Age II to a point, and even has a substantial fanbase with players of the series. My point is, DLC Companions are a huge plus. The more companions total, the more replayable the game becomes. So if there isn't going to be a large number of followers (Dragon Age: Origins and Mass Effect 2 did this quite well), DLC Companions is a definite must.

4). A deeper implementation of the RPG Elements that DA:Origins included.

-In Dragon Age II, I feel like this was scrapped nigh-entirely. In DA:O, if you had a high enough point in Persuasion, you could take advantage of a lot of situations. You had a few points in being a Ranger, you were good with animals. Stealing? You could pickpocket, and open up a thief questline. It goes back to that original point of "Malleablilty". Being able to play at the same pace as a friend, and have different quest outcomes or in-game events because you guys differ on where you've placed your skill points. The Mass Effect series was just fine without this (though that first-ever class-based interrupt in the Omega DLC was quite well-received) but in the Dragon Age Series, it's almost necessary. As games progress through a series, I think the goal is to improve (or don't touch) the things that worked well, and fix the things that didn't. Whereas, as enjoyable as Dragon Age II was, I feel that a majority of the things that were enjoyed in the first game were left entirely out of the sequel, and the game took us in the wrong direction. At its core, the Dragon Age Series is that of an RPG. So long as developers can stay true to that mantra, and really immerse players into the things that really make an RPG just that, they'll provide us an amazing game. They've done it before with Dragon Age: Origins. So I have no doubt that they'll be able to do it again.

5). Increased Squadmate Interaction.

-Gifts. Playing through Dragon Age: Origins, there were tons of gifts you could find in your travels, that you were able to give to a companion of your choice to help improve their approval rating. While Dragon Age II didn't completely cut this out of the game, they limited it to only character-specific gifts, and even limited that to about two or three each. Whereas Origins even came out with a DLC to raise and lower that approval rating (Feastday Gifts), Dragon Age II felt like it was near-impossible to get the exact-desired Friendship/Rivalry ratings you wanted with everyone and this came to bite you in the arse in the endgame because so very few of your companions had a full-bar because you often had to flip-flop with choices. I loved the incredible amounts of interaction you had at the party camp (speaking of which, yes to a party hub), really getting these characters fleshed out, some even having the opportunity to be 'Hardened' as it were, thus changing their personality enough to notice a difference. Romances are great. Choices are great. And if Dragon Age 3: Inquisition does it well enough, I'll find myself crying at some of their deaths or other emotional scenes, because I've created a close bond with them. They need to feel like companions, whether that's a friend or a rival, as opposed to a squadmate merely there to further the story.

1) More companions / companion options. Even mutually exclusive companions, ie. chosing to side with the mage adds them to your stable but eliminates the templar and vice versa.

2) More character customization.

3) Dialog like DA2 where my character actually sounds different after establishing their personality.

4) More impact on the world. Choices should matter more.

5) Continuing the story arc of Morrigan, her child and those talking Darkspawn ;)

1- returning characters like leliana might as well put her in all of them and fenris he makes me melt

2- indepth romances like being able to marry and have kids espicially if the story takes place over years like DA2 cause it would make more sense then them being a couple for like 5 years like in DA2

3- being able to customize companions cloths

4- returning companions like fenris, sten, morrigan, isabela and zevran

5- really cool weapons and armor

1. story
2. Mage disguise gear :D seriously.. Who would wear mage robes with crazy templar running around with pointy sticks trying to impale anyone born with magic abilities/potential.
3. I liked that war mage or whatever it was tat I played in DA that the elves had been using in the past where the mage focused it´s pwoer and training ot wear armor. it woudl certainly help trick some of the templars im tihnking sicne they are looking for people in robes.
I can immagine the funny comment´s.

Templar 1: I think that´s a mage, I can sense it!
Templar 2: He/she´s wearing plate armor, mages don´t wear armor.
Tomplar 1: Maybe it´s the lyrium enchanted armor I´m sensing.
Templar 2: Likely, that stuff seems to be rotting your brain already!

4. More towns and vilages.

5. Village defence, not sure what type but saving as many people as possible always feelt good.

6. Talking to people and make them prepare for trouble, perhaps even manipulate people to serve your goals.

1. Please don't spoon-feed the Mages vs Templar conflict down our throats (who am I kidding? It's gonna happen).

2. In relation to the above, if you go that route, please make both sides morally grey. In DA2 the Templars were big, bad meanies that were very, very mean to the mages (but it's ok because Cullen wasn't!) while the mages were helpless fawns that needed our undying sympathy (despite 80% of the Kirkwall mages openly practice blood magic from our PoV, but hey, victims!)

3. A complete focus on story and writing first, with an overworld that can realistically contain the plot. In short, I don't want Skyrim set in Dragon Age's universe (i.e large open spaces for the sake of having large open spaces).

4. Tone down the over-the-top violence and anime-level maneuvers please. PLEASE.

5. Stop recycling so much content. Do I need to say more about this?

Most of the stuff I want has already been said, but something I loved in DA:O that wasn't in DA2 were the screenshots playing after you've finished explaining how your choices and actions have affected the DA Universe. Just a small thing, but I thought it was a really great addition in DA:O

found something else (another posting inspired me):

=> TALL FEMALE Characters (i am fed up with being a "shorty" when i play as a female (second time going through the game is always with a female character) and let's face it, not all females are short and even more:

i love tall women (taller then me? - not a problem, if it's not by much (few centimeters)...i just would not want to look like a midget when going out with my girlfriend (and i would not want her to look like that either, when compared to me - makes kissing awkward being either extreme (taller or smaller - if it is by a large margin))

=> Female Characters with muscles (not in the body-builder-on-steroids kind of way, just well i thought for a fighter Leliana (for example) could have looked more like she worked out/trained her skills)

greetings LAX

Things i want to see :

1:

A bigger World than the small one in DA2
The World and the ambience in DA 2 was just.... boring !
This is the point and i will not going into detail here.

2:
More Character feelings.
This is what the group will getting together. And this is what it let's feel like realistic.

3.
More lovely Details !!!
Seriously, DA2 was a lot of recyling. Even the Characters moves several time in the dialouges the same way.
This is not what BioWare stands for !
Get the detail back !

4.
Don't make a Diablo 3 or something like that.
Please lean on DA:O Systems. This is much more better than a hack&slay RPG, which ruine the feeling imo!
Also let there be more ambience and not spawning enemies from the out of no where...

5.
A complex story with a lot of decission posibillities.
Means, i like the way in ME with the good and evil, but only if they have a impact an all this.
Please, in rembering on ME3 Ending, don't do that in DA3. Let the player make decissions and not you.
If its all meaningless what i do in DA3, when the eand is fixed, it is a bad style.
Also if you think its art or what ever....

This are my 5 Points, i got a lot more , cause i was really dissapointed in  the whole DA2 & the ME3 ending.

1. Tone down the melee combat style you had in DAII. The mage combat graphics were a great upgrade but you shouldn't have fixed something that wasn't broke.

2. Allow armor customization for our companions again. What they look like off hours is up to you guys but at least let us gear them up again please.

3. Remember when even 99% of the sidequests would start off a cutscene in DA:O? I miss those

4. Please don't regurgitate dungeons, landscapes, or caves and expect us not to care. You pride yourselves on story, these details add to the storytelling as well.

5. Please bring back the Darkspawn style from Origins. Aesthetically, I'm really confused what you think you improved on. Since we are limited to five points, I'm including a request to bring back familiar faces (Varric and Sten).

1) Return of previous characters done well. If my character romanced someone, would be nice if they actually stayed with them. In fact, to tie in, Warden/ Hawke appearing would be cool.

2) Obviously, fix the silly setting issues from DA2. The DLC was good, the main game... not so good.

3) Keep the specialist kills from DLC, as opposed to main game DA2. I like Archer end kills, thx

4) Pilotable ship. You know you want to...

5) Ability to choose race again. I didn't mind so much in 2, but it would be nice to pick a new race this time. Also, if dwarves are back as PC's, could we have a dwarf romance option? k thx bye.

1. Non abused rehash of materials. (I mean a repeat or return to area when it makes sense, not well we need a spot to put this ... hmmm this place again works. just change that rock there.)

2. Return of some characters would be nice.

3. I want to be in an heroic tale, I think the first one did well, the second one not so much. Loved the dialog thou, not the story.

4. Combat that is like #2, I mean the first was old school rpg, but for me I am old school I rather have the new school.

5. Build and expand (Crafting)... ( some people like this idea some didn't when I posted about it, in da1 expansion we where able to upgraded, I would like to actually do that again with a home or fortification that makes a difference. I like the idea of expanding on this to give us basically a new end game element that could be "your left with this fortification after defeating the enemy, now you and your friends can defend waves of minions and see who the true hero is !" would be fun I think. Could add stuff like other games do, as you level you can gain new abilities `beyond what's in the single player` and items etc, make a whole new after game of it so we have that between expansion dlc's )

Hi Together

First Sorry for my Bad English :kissing:

I Played both Dragon Age Games A lot and both are very very good but...

What the Game needs is not more Story, it is importent i know and the interaction betwenn the Character´s lovley but after you Played the Story over and over Again you get borded and only scip it to get to the next Fight. Character is on Maxlevel and Full Equiped and now, hmm looking at it and be Happy.

What now? Next Character, no, i love my Warrior or Rouge, but what can i do, waiting for Addon? Bah, Addons good for the Story but same as the Maingame, played through, get bored.

This Game needs a Chalange after the Gamestory is through, a Arena or a Survival mode where you can Play with your Coop Partner or online with Others, i mean no PvP. I mean every Roleplayer has a Story for his Character in his Mind and want to play as it is, but the most who play this Game want Fights, with his Character Backround in his Mind.

Simple Mods are possible.
- Hold Ground aginst a lot of Wave´s, best Example "Warhammer Spacemarine".
- Conquer a Castle or Hold it. after Win you can loot a Chest with some Randoom Loot, potions, Ink for your Armor, new Faces and so on.
- Fighting an other Kingdom on Battflield ure are in the Fight, lot of Soldiers around you and you have to Conquer   special Points to win the Fight.

Much things possible.

So the Graphic, hmm ok its a Roleplaygame bu why so colourful? it needs more Dirt. Like Gears of War.

But the most i hated on the last Game was the totaly destruction of the Enemys! Crumbles in totaly little Peaces ?
Why not only an Arm, Leg or Head, Finished with a slash over the Chest or an other critical part of the Body?
I know its a lot of Programming but you wanna make a Mature Game so let as Fight as Matures.
For thous who dont like this take a button in the Menu to put it on or off.
Bind it on Criticals and the Players dont get Bored of it. On Roughs with high Critical Chance you can drop it to Half of there Critical Chance.

And dont forget the Mages they need Finishers to ^^

And the most important thing this next Game needs is !VARIATION!,
The same Enemy on the same Place, bored.
Same Item on the same Enemy, bored.
Same Item with the Same stats, bored.
If you Played the Game the Third time you play like a Robot, you know where a Enemy apears and what Adds he Spawn you know what i mean. No Surprise.

Not so Important but not less, make the enemys hard, give it some more hit points but not more Damage, its not realy addicting killing all in seconds and on the other Hand its totaly boring to be killed in seconds. Long Fights are makes the Player Happy, with some low enemys who die quikly, but not with one Hit ^^

I know all Roleplayers say now, i need more Story and so on but every Story has an End but the most Players want Fights and Play there Character a little more after the Storys. I love Storys and a good Backround realy much but i hate to be through the Game all seen, all touched and my Character i loved so much dusts on a savegame.

After all, at the End there is only the Fightsystem and the Enemy, with the Backround and the Story in your Mind.

And my last Words, Graphic dont make a good Game. The most Players didnt have so Potent Pc´s so pull your Money and Time in more Content, Graphic and Story holds the Player 60-120 Houers, a good and adicting Fightsystem with a lot of Variation, hold them 200-300 Houers and more and then they want more.

greatings :innocent:

Ps.: Only Thoughts dont Flame me ^^

5. Realistic fighting animations as pretty much only the mage animations looked halfway plausible from a physical standard.

3. Hopeful outcomes to major story events - DA2 let me feeling like my character broke everything she touched.  There was no way to avoid, circumvent, or “fix” any of the terrible things that happened in the game.  At the end, I felt like my character broke the world.  That she was more of a villain than a hero, because none of the good I did seemed to have any real impact on the world, where as the bad I unwittingly participated in changed the face of Ferelden. It's one thing to have a dark story, it's another to have a hopeless one.  At the end, I want to feel like my character was a hero, that made the world a better place for being in it.

4. A rich, large and exploreable world with no re-used maps. I love being able to run around and take in the sights in a world.  Finding hidden nooks, mysterious ruins, or with quests out in the wild.  Things in the world that don’t serve a purpose for the main story but hint at mysteries of the past – these elements really immerse me in the world, and make it come alive for me.

These are epic please bioware
