1. Real accents. Please, no more bad fake accents. Marjolaine and Donovan Hock are distracting and make my ears hurt - their accents just aren't right. If you can't get someone with a natural/believable accent, just use what you get instead of faking it.
2. Choices that make a difference. DA:2 no matter what choices we made, the mages and templars still went nuts and we had to kill them all. If I side with someone, I'd like to have an impact on their future, similar to the werewolf/Dalish or genophage choices (as much as I got sick of hearing about the genophage after 3 games, the story arc and choice had a lot of impact).
3. An option for a happy ending... at the end of the day, most of us just want to ride off into the sunset with our paramour. Yeah, sometimes we want to be martyrs for the greater good, but having the option is preferrable... if we want dismal reality, well, we don't have to play a video game for that.
4. Less junk in inventory: I don't need vendor trash and a wagon full of gear. I actually think ME:2/ME:3 should be the future of gaming gear: unlockable, customisable appearance with stat bonus choices.
5. More obvious outcomes from conversation choices. In the ME series, there's a good sense of what Shepard's going to say based on the dialogue wheel option. In DA:2, I found myself reloading a lot because Hawke really did not say what I expected based on the dialogue wheel. To that point, a bit more subtlety would be nice; the renegade/paragon style choices are a little over the top at times, but the neutral options frequently lack personality.
