Epic battles with epic bosses with epic music!
And some quest alongside with Anders would be welcome too.

I would like to see a throwback to BGII stylizing *i.e. close to DAO's isometrics

And then just allow camera rotation from that isometric.
Also, make my choices mean something, rather than nothing. Pretending they mean something is worse than them not meaning anything at all. You kinda lost my faith with ME3 and DA2, don't do it again.

Stop tryharding with "bosses". It's childish.

If you are going to bother putting bosses, you need to make them defeatable in multiple ways (rather than just brute force like every enemy in DA2)

Playtest your hardest mode, and actually make it challenging rather than a stupid waste of time. (repeating the same tactic for 20min-60min is not fun).

You need to accommodate for people like me who aren't convinced that some whiny NPC's quest is worth doing.

And just delete this whole stupid Leliana story line, it's worthless. I left her naked lifeless body in the reaver's ice mountain, kthx. You need to respect that I made that decision. Hell my first character (pictured) never even met her (i never went in that pub). Nice of you to explain that plothole in DA2. Oh wait.

1) A return to Isometric tactical view.
2) customization options for yourself, your base, all of your campanion's
3) Non linear questing and areas. I want to find quests that are completely unrelated to the main quest line and have them never intersect.
4) More world. Seriously, all I remember hearing is about how Huge and Massive the DA world is, the most indepth world they have ever made, and all we have seen is one sub continent and a single town. I want to be able to go from Orlais to Par Vollen or something equally as broad.
5) Meaningful relationships with your party members including your LI. I think DAO was decent but could have been much better and DA2 was a big step back.

This.

Oh, and bonus request - Random encounters during fast travel (like the ones from DA:O)

Hmmmm....

1) Weapon, Armor and Enchantment Crafting.
2) Less diversity in classes, IE warriors can use archery weapons and can learn to break locks on chests or mages can use ensorcelled melee weapons and use a spells to break locks.
3) Advanced character creation, such as more facial choices, hairstyles, scars, tattoos and so forth.
4) More diverse weapons and armor, few weapons and armor look alike.
5) Strong LI (Love Interest) driven storyline and involvement, not one quick fling such as seen in DA and DA2.

Hello All,

In a Nutshell....... Like to see DAIII, like DA:O times 5, and make it playable as a mini MMO with 5 actual people that can hook up together online. At least this way we can take part in the game and play together instead of just talking about how Cool DA is.

The tactics were ok but I think it would be really good to have a group of friends online together.

Just A Thought.......

Cheers!

My inner cynic suspects there is absolutely no point suggesting anything to Bioware. They don't seem very good at taking criticism or acknowledging their mistakes.

Still, in the interest of not being that jerk who derails the thread pointlessly:

1. More mage/templar drama, but with some semblance of balance this time. People sympathized far more with mages than templars in Origins. To compensate for that in Dragon Age II they made mages into cartoon villains. With exceptions you can count on the hand of a monkey who likes shoving his hand into the blender, every mage in Dragon Age II is of the "stupid evil" alignment.

2. Get rid of the dialogue wheel. I don't care one way or another about the character being voiced, but is it seriously necessary to hide what the character is going to say from the player? I should never, EVER feel the need to reload a previous save because my character just said something I did not intend for my character to say.

3. Being able to pick a race and origin would be nice.

4. More choices and more consequences for them. One of Dragon Age II's largest flaws (in my opinion) was how little it seemed like player input affected anything.

5. More character customization; less streamlining and "button awesome".

 1. Female Kossith. We've already seen the concept artwork and I thought it looked amazing. I actually would like to see a female Kossith LI.

2. Interactive Party Banter. I'm not sure how it would be done, perhaps some cut scenes at important key moments where you're actually discussing with more than one companion what you plan to do and trying to convince them it's the right path.

3. DAO and DA2 choices made to matter in visible ways. It has to matter more than what we saw with DA2. I'd like to see a few more references to how Hawke and the Warden handled their prospective stories and how it affected the world.

4. The answering of cliffhangers. What happened to Hawke after the mage rebellion? What happens with his LI if he/she has any? The same with the Warden.

5. No more spawning waves of enemies. The tactical use of choke points and terrain to your advantage to be implemented.

Sounds like a hot outfit, but I must say, I have always been impressed with the 'realistic' vibe the female armor has in the DA games.  Hot pants and a crop top, regardless if they are made from leather or steel, will not protect vital organs in combat.  :D Realistic makes for great gameplay if you ask me.

True enough, but you can't say that the Dalish armor of a a sports bra and miniskirt protected much either. I mean leather pants protect much more than a miniskirt :)

1. a quest involving a Gryphon/Gryphons
2. Bring back the tactical gameplay form DAO (combat animation were stunning in DA II though, no problem on that front)
3. Bring back atleast 1 character from DAO or DAO:Awakening (Hinting towards Oghren)
4. Give Rouge classes more ranged skills, instead of the 4 attacks in DA II
5. Don't change the look of the darkspawn as in DA II, they looked ugly and unfinished compared to the ones from DAO.

You can choose a origin, but you won't be able to play it....

They should atleast put in some dialouge so you can choose the direction of your origin.

About the race choosing, I think they won't do stuf like that since they would have to get mutiple voice actors because there are different races that have a dialouge... I mean elves and dwarfs could never have the same voice.

I suppose things most people have already said, maybe some things people haven't said either way.

1) No more re-used environments.
I think we're all aware now of just how this effected DA2. Caves, landscapes ect all the same. I'm hoping they'll avoid this completely and if interviews are to be believed they shall be doing so, so yay.

2) DLC actually being DLC
We all know at some point DLC will spring up, it always does. But BioWare's feel's very lackluster compared to companies like Bethesda. Dawnguard and especially Dragonborn being their more recent DLC releases, even Oblivions was worth every penny but BioWare's doesn't hold a candle to them, not even slightly. I've been very put off with DLC from BioWare after seeing Bethesda's I hope this can change.

3) More impact from the previous games.
Apart from a brief cameo of alistair being drunk / appearing as king. It didn't feel as if our choices in DA:O made a difference at all apart from a couple of side quests. If the world is changing around us surely major choices made within the series should play it's part? DA2 failed to do that, for me personally. I hope DA:O/DA2 choices can have a tad more impact upon the game.

As for DA2s ending. Regardless to your choice at the end of DA2 you were pigeoned into the same thing. If you sided with the mages, you thought the templars, great right? Well no. You still had to fight orsino and you still had to  fight meredith. If you sided with the templars? Well you still had to fight orsino and you still had to fight meredith.

4) More customisation.
It's an RPG is it not? DA2 wasn't good as far as customisation went our companions were stuck with the same armour for the entire game. DA:O gave us a choice we could give our companions anything we wanted. I wasn't to happy with star ratings on gear either.

I would also like the companions to have an area to gather such as the camp from origins the placement was terrible in DA2 having to go underground, above ground, to a different district just to find them.

And as said by searunner a few posts above me

5) Meaningful relationships with your party members including your LI. I think DAO was decent but could have been much better and DA2 was a big step back.

1. Grittier, more mature setting. Origins was much better than DA2 in this regard but still felt a little tame. Have some coarse language. Show some squalor. Not asking for nudity or sex here, just dirty things up. The Denerim market felt more slummy than Lowtown.

2. Environmental hazards that can be used against enemies.

3. Less fan service. Less cameos for the sake of cameos.

4. Intrigue, cus I like me some good intrigue in a story.

5. Antagonists who are more believable and relatable. Doing a better job of telling us why a character behaves the way they do (e.g. Meredith). No telling us we should care about mages when 80% of the ones you meet turn into demons. No Super Saiyan final boss.

Why is nudity such a big no-no? Movies do it, I don't see why Bioware can't.

1. equipment to companions and main char to work like in DA origins, the system from DA2 was just boring.
2. "Building your army" approach Like the part with the fort in NWN2 or something like it.
3. Less "Smartass" combat like in DA2, more classic combat like DAO.
4. Less Enemies dropping out from noware like basically every battle in DA2, it is just a lame and cheap way of making the battles longer.
5. More memorable weapons and armor like Carsomyr and Crom Faeyr. DAO did this ok, Spellweaver, starfang ect. Cant remember a single wpn from DA2.

Probably to avoid some idiots like FOX running their mouths again as they did with the original mass effect.

1. Better story.
2. Better ending.
3. More companion dialogue.
4. More choices.
5. Character origins.

Basically, I just want a game that lives up to Dragon Age: Origins' standards. Or is that too much to ask for these days?

1. Being able to costumize more in character creation(more playable races; human, elf, dwarf, maybe even quanari?). Want more bakgrounds options!
2. More information on how the choices in the previous games have impacted the world.
3. I wanna see Morrigan and her son again! What happened to her after she went through that mirror, and where is the son? I want to know!!
4. I want more info how my warden is doing, hehe. And what happened to hawke?
5. More romance options and different choices!!!!

1. Better clothes for mages. I would prefer more armor type clothes for mages rather than robes ( since it's not exactly my cup of tea). But if they will put more robes...please....at lease put some robes that don't look like dresses.

2. A more in-depth customization for main characters. Some customization for the companions would be great. Maybe we can also make a companion too? Oh yeah, please dont force us to use the default character's voice. Also allow us to use the default character's hair or beard. That way those who dont have the PC version won't be so left out.

3. Choices that matter.

4. More romance options OR be able to make our own romance option. ( If not possible, I'm still okay with it since most of the romance options are pretty good looking anyways.)

5. If a multi-player is going to be involved, let it be done correctly.

 1) To have more diverse and expansive environments/ settings. So, basically, a lot of locations and no recycling of caves etc. Hey, maybe even something something crazy, like being able to travel between countries or whatever; e.g. Orlais to Tevinter. Not open world though... not sure why but I can't see it working in a Dragon Age game... I would be happy to be proven wrong though. :)
2) Decent companions, including decent romance options.
DA:O got the characters right for me - and yes, I know that is down to personal taste. Despite the seriously bad situation in Origins, the characters still didn't come across as half as whiny and angsty as those in DA:2. I loved Varric, Bethany and Isabella but the others I could either take or leave. I also found the female romancable options to be... underwhelming shall we say. I ended up romancing Isabella, which, as a straight female, did not feel like something I would actually do and I like to actually role play my RPGs... meh. A companion hub, like camp but not necessarily a camp, where all companions meet would be great. Also, the ability to converse with companions outside of their home/ hub/ whatever would be fab again. And, finally, MORE dialogue with companions. In terms of people I want to return: Varric, Morrigan and Cullen would be cool.
3) Companion customisation.
Obviously, I don't think this will happen. It seems pretty clear that the guys at Bioware want to give characters a distinct look. I get that, I do, but I like being able to give companions the awesome armour that I find in game that I can't use. Also, especially in DA:2, I find it hard to believe companions would never change their outfits... over a 10 year period. Like their tastes would never change? It's just as unbelievable as companions wearing something because I told them to.  Anyway, I can dream.

4) A really good story.
Story and characterisation are what I play games for. I love the idea of a mage/ templar conflict and think it could be a fantastic idea to explore. However, I don't want a linear story please and I want choices that actually matter/ effect the outcome of events. There were times in DA:2 where I specifically refused to do a quest but had to do it anyway (see Jarvis the dwarf and the blackpowder promise mission). If I don't have a choice, don't pretend I do! That being said, I am pretty confident that the story and dialogue will be brilliant - they usually are in Bioware games.

5) A female canonical hero.
Hmm... yeah. I want one please. :innocent: Basically, I love that you can be a woman - since I am one - but a female main character in the advertising would just be awesome. Also, more options as to what the origin of your character is would be nice. Not necessarily like Origins but maybe being able to choose to be an elf/ human/ dwarf/ qunari or even your nationality, if not race.

Just my ideas though, obviously we all have different views :)

The top five things I would love to see in the upcoming Dragon Age game would be...
  • Return of old party members. (don't care if they return as party members or not just would like to run into old friends again)
  • More awesome special attacks for the warrior class. (Mage and Rouge had way more awesome attacks than the warrior)
  • Have conversation interuptions like Mass Effect does. Don't know what they could do with them but I'm curious.
  • Semi destructable enviroments. (they are using the gorgeous Frostbite engine after all)
  • More fleshed out customization options for creating your character.
I love you Bioware and can't wait to see what you have done with the next installment of Dragon Age and all your other future endeavors!
