2. Sex appeal. Use it. People don't do it with their clothes on. If we're mature enough see a man's head cuff of. We can add some nudity. Witcher 2 did it
3. New maps
4. Choices that change, not based on way you say it but what you decide, make it compelling interesting

2: A bit more visually realistic combat. (I know it's fantasy, but I still prefer a bit of realism over unhuman anime-style movements/battles)
3: A game that feels like a complete, whole experience when the credits roll. (Don't rush this plz.)
4: Getting to meet or somehow interact with Hawke and the Warden would be cool.
5: All the other things Bioware are so awesome at; compelling main and side stories, characters and lore.

2.Full agree with Jason Rocker-there must be choices that really matter.
3.Less action,more role game.
4.Ship and sea maps.
5.Devolpment of relationships between hero, companions and the world.Examples of really good structures of the relationships in other games.Hero and companions-Neverwinter Nights 2 and Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2.And romance was very good in the Witcher 2.Hero and the world-Witcher and Witcher 2.

If you kill people mercilesly people could fear you and you would get a nickname like butcher of the orlais or something. Also being cunning or friendly would earn you related nicknames.

I was amazed to find that when my female Hawke stepped in a trap, she let out a very masculine bellow. I know it's just a small thing, but it's annoying anyway. Couldn't the devs have taken a little more care in making a feminine sound for such situations?

- Combat in DA1 was a bit on the slow side. It was slightly improved in DA2 but I feel it has potential to be refined even further.
- All major decisions made in DA1 and DA2 having at least a semi-significant impact on the story of DA3
I don't think I said anything above that the devs haven't planned to include already, but gameplay-wise, that's all I really want. Oh, and more models for weapons and armour would be great, just for variety's sake. I'd like to put on some armour that makes the PC stand out from the common rabble without the use of mods (The Champion armour set in DA2 is a prime example but you get when you're already done more than half of the game!)
As far as storyline goes, I wouldn't change a thing. Keep the companions interesting and lovable, and keep the story as compelling as it was in the predecessors. I'd hate to see a sloppily made deus ex machina ending like ME3's be repeated Dragon Age as well. Most games released of late seem to have trouble properly concluding a story, but I have faith in you, BioWare.

Good grief I agree with this.
Just to name a few games that had WTF endings for me as of late:
-ME 3 (that's as far as I am going with that game)
-Assassin's Creed 3 (copout ending to have a sequel lined up)
-Spec Ops: The Line (partially it has to do with the nature of the story that the game was going for but the "good" ending [I still really can't tell which ending was considered good] is very screwy imo)
-Far Cry 3's "stay" ending

2. The player character should matter a lot more than Hawke ever did, that just seemed so random to me.
3. Romances are a nice option, but they should be just that, an option. That's not to say they can't have a very significant influence on the outcome of a game though. Which would bring me to the next point I suppose.
4. The ever controversial topic of who can start a romance with who? Building on my previous point I would like to see every companion swing both ways, so to speak, UNLESS their personal background explicitely contradicts the choice for one or the other way (ie Morrigan, even though she broke my heart!).
5. And for the love of Pete.. I really did not enjoy my console-ported version of DA2 on my PC. That's what it felt like anyway. I know consoles are popular, but I stay well away from them for a reason and seeing that reason pop up in every other game I play makes me cringe. That's part of the reason why I felt DA2 was a step forward in some aspects and then a massive leap backwards in other aspects. So give me back the feeling of playing an actual PC game.
Anyway, you asked what we wanted, that's what I want; not everyone's cup of tea I assume.

In the PS3 edition of ME2 it CAME with the little comic book like intro for those that had not played ME1. Something like that should be ON THE DISC and not barebones the way it was for DAII.

2. Character interaction: I've seen a lot of people split this up but I'll just bundle it. The characters are the gold of Bioware games. Some of them feel extraordinarily life like and you truly come to care for them. To that end flesh out their personalities! I'm talking party banter (much) better romances as compared to DA:2(Think DA:O as a standard) and just general party interaction. I hold DA:O as the standard here where I literally spent an hour and a half in camp asking every single question possible for all of the characters. That stuff is interesting! Also be sure that the party includes their opinions when the protagonist has to make a decision. What they say matters.(Phew...sorry tangeted there...)
3. Please, please, please, please Don't hijack my characters. I've seen rumors Hawke and possibly the Warden Commander will return. I don't know how you're going to work it but (for example) my Hawke hardly cared at all for the mage/templar conflct. He's much more interested in going and being a pirate with Isabella. If I play DA3 and he's there rallying all the mages just because I was forced to pick a side and chose mages I will be very very irritated... I don't know how you would work that, maybe have periods where we play as Hawke/the Warden temporarily.
4. Reusing maps: I know I'm beating a dead horse, but it is really annoying. Please, please don't. Origniality is what keeps a game fresh. Nothing screams boring like fighting on the same map 6 times in a row.
5. The Ending: This is one of the most important things. I would imagine this is the last time the Warden Commander and quite possibly Hawke and the new protagonist will appear. Do not leave loose ends... They are incredibly annoying and never go away. Rap up the story in a way that is satisfying and complete. When in doubt go with a happy ending. Very few people with be angry if the warden commander's story ends with "The Warden Commander decided his days of adventuring were done. (S)He returned to (Denerim/Orzimmar/The Circle Tower) with (LI) and lived out their days in happiness." (Maybe allow the player dialogue choices for slight customization.) Point is the above ending is happy and complete enough to satisfy players, but vague enough to allow them to fill in the rest of the blanks(Did the warden and LI marry? Did they have children? etc etc etc) themselves.
And end. I have more but that's 5

- I want the main character speak, like Hawke did, not like Origins and Awakenings..that sucked!!! With the "Hmm, how do you think we should do this or that?" (Silenced, but your options 1,2, 3 picked out) "Oh, ok we shall prepare for battle, etc." --I totally hate that.
- Let's get back Morrigan, I don't know her very much, but is a pretty lady in the previous DA's
- Keep the Story-Line.
- An option in the mid-story line to bring back Hawke.
- Don't make it like Skyrim! Crap! I have to walk 10 miles to get somewhere, Gee wiz! If it's like that, I"m dumping my DA series..maybe I'll get it when it's 10 bucks.

- I know you only wanted 5, but KEEP The DRAGON SLAYING' IN IT!!!! Update the Dragons a little more, but don't elminate them.

2. Taking sides or remain neutral whenever possible
3. More complex and more diverse characters, especially companions
4. A more important and more epic story instead of just babysitting most of the time
5. Not adding things, unless it is optional, to the voiced lines that might ruin some people's role playing style (Like saying Andrastian Chantry's expressions)

2) Characters from past DA games return and have some return as actual Party members
3) Find a way to make the Warden and Hawke as party members
4) Have Dog to be already avaliable in DA3 without the need for a DLC (I hate how they require you to pay to have Dog in DA2)
5) Bring back the comedy of DAO. (Well if they bring back Oghren then it will be easy. Hopefully we may get to see Ser Pounce-a-lot again)

2) Rogue needs to slow combat down a little bit and don't make him stand up, walk to traps and disarm an entire row without ever bending down that was ludicrious.
3) Bringing back the Warden Commander or in my case King Alistair is my husband and Warden Commander, Cameo appearance's throughout would be nice as well as the Hero of Kirkwall but not actually being a part of your party.
4) Main character talking I didn't mind the silent character as we had Dwarves and elves and humans and different starting backgrounds would have been a lot of voice talent to do. But if all were playing is Humans in the next Dragon Age then voiced is needed.
5) Mage class needs a lot better animations felt like a was playing a Monk/mage hybrid the way he kept smashing and spinning his staff, while I had fun playing it I just didn't feel like a real mage with its current play style.
6) Ending it better not be a Mass Effect style ending stick to what you guys do best with and not copy Mass Effect. Be thorough tie up loose ends go through the other 2 games lore make sure it feels seamless and is satisfying to your entire team and would be proud of everyone else enjoying the ending.
7) Inventory - DA2 was bland and total nightmare to even want to go through it. I like being able to find pieces of armor and weapons to fit my companions that I think is cool and classy. Bland cartoonish pieces with no picture and no real selection is boring.
8) Ageing a character would be nice to see if we span from the start to a few years down the road and if Hawke and Warden Commander appear they also should look older and more wizened.
9) Multiplayer should be a stand alone and not be affecting the single player game in anyway.

2)FULLY VOICED WARDEN SINCE YOUR NO LONGER PLAYING AS HIM.
3)BETTER INTERACTION AND CLOSURE WITH PARTY MEMBER.
4)RETURN EXECUTION ANIMATION FROM ORIGINS.
5) WARDEN STAYS AND BE REFER AS KING/QUEEN CONSORT OR AS TEYRN OF GWAREN OR CHANCELLOR DEPENDENING ON CHOICE AT THE CORONATION EPILOGUE.
I HOPE BIOWARE IS READING THIS FORUM.

1. More character interaction with companions (not just LI)
2. Making decisions that impact the enviroment- actual reactions from different factions
3. Keep the voice- I don't like a mute protaganist when everyone else talks
4. Varric as a companion but I want all new companions besides him- not against any past companions showing up in a quest or storyline (DA 2 Zevran, Alistair) I really enjoyed seeing those characters again
5. More character creation options- they improved on this last time and I hope they give more options again- also keep the mirror in case I want to change something
Things I didn't mention such as improved graphics, more and varied levels, change in tactics, and more companion looks are already aknowledge as being changed. In DA3, I don't want the same characters from the other games because I can't wait to see the new characters that Bioware will create. I guess I am in the minority but I liked DA2- I played through it multiple times as different Hawkes and liked the subtle changes in the game. Though, along with everyone else I really hated the recycled enviroments- they were bland, as well as, repetitive. Overall, I guess I didn't feel too badly burned from DA2 and am still very much anticipating DA3. I will definately pre-order.
P.S. feel free to disagree with me but this is my opinion
also, I want a horse

More interactions between companions.
No cut content being sold as dlc.
More ways to solve quest besides violence.
Choices that matter.
No more crazy templars and mages.

2. MORE meaningful choices with greater complexity and more possible endings.
3. More banter and dialogue, with more characters --- in that vein, better banter, less repetition. Make companions more interesting --- I get it, Isabella wants to know if she needs a bath or that she's bored --- give her and all the characters many more lines providing us possibly with interesting insights into their character.
4. Recognition of achievements --- as the protagonist achieves through the story, it should be recognized more by most of the characters he/she interacts with ... give us jealousy, betrayal (if it makes sense!) and more potential "companions" --- because I don't want Fenris and/or Anders again, I should be free to choose "alternates".
5. In a nutshell, more complexity --- do not dumb this game down for YOUNG teenagers ... make this a bit of a challenge for educated adults and you'll restore your reputation if not enhance it (it will SELL well).
