just dont screw DO3 like ME3. 1. bring back the warden! 2. I want my decisions from DAO and DA2 to actually mean something and effect my game play. 3. if we have learned anything from hollywood,FANS.... love the same people, support characters etc.  through out the trilogies ( you didnt see star wars have 3 different protagonists) FYI THATS HOW YOU SELL MORE GAMES AND GET THE FANS TO HOLD ONTO THEM. MASS EFFECT GOT RETURNED BEFORE I FINISHED THE LAST CUTSCENE. 4. more romance, race, and clothing options, i want to design my clothes like my characters. AND 5. if you think we will spend money on a game that lacks any of the input any of us on this forum has suggested, think again. seriously when you upset the fan base, your sales and online gaming drops. do us and yourselves a favor.... dont screw this up like ME3.

I am sick of the Codex in DA:2. I hope I never have to upgrade another one. Please do something less tedious with game info in DA:I.

- The Warden or Hawke as the playable character. Please don't add another PC. Hawke would seem to be the more likely choice because he/she has a voice already.

- Randomize the order of conversation choices and make them better explain what you are about to say. I hate knowing in Bioware games that the top right dialogue option is always paragon. People should play the games using what they would want to actually say and sometimes knowing the order of what's a good or bad thing to say ruins the role play experience by swaying your decision.

- Obviously no constantly reused area layouts. Returning to places is totally fine, but I don't want to visit places throughout Thedas that look the same.

- No multiplayer. All focus should be on a single player experience. It's what people want to buy the game for. Co-op mode would be fine I guess, but I don't know how that could work with whatever story Bioware has going.

- DA:O's gear system for all characters. I don't want my followers to have set appearances. Believe it or not, I liked putting those ugly mage hats on Morrigan and Wynne :>

Please don't mess this up Bioware :S A lot of people were upset with Mass Effect 3 (Not me!). This is your chance to show them that you guys still rock.

I would like to see an Alienage that truly looks filthy. A place where no one in their right mind would want to live if they had another choice, a place that actually gives you the feeling just by looking at it that the elves living there can hardly rub two coppers together and just by living there their lives are cut short by various diseases.

The Alienages in DAO and DA2 were almost identical to the rest of the city they were part of. The only differences between the Alienage in Denerim and the rest of Denerim was the fact that homes were made of wood instead of stone and the presence of stray dogs. The Alienage in Kirkwall had even less differences with the rest of Kirkwall, seeing as how the buildings were made of stone, just as the rest of the city, there were no stray animals around, no beggars, there wasn't even any mud, the courtyard actually being paved. Also, you didn't get the feeling that the denizens wanted to "alienate" it from the rest of the city, you just walked down a flight of stairs and there you were. The Alienage in Denerim at least was separated from the rest of the city by a bridge on each side, with big sturdy gates at the end of those bridges, so you at least had the feeling that the people of Denerim really didn't want to run into the elves.

This. Kirkwall way mostly a really ugly city made of brown walls and rusty spikes. I'd say the alienage was actually the nicest part, at least they had a tree. Even Hightown was just dull gray stone everywhere.

I'd rather have two or three big decisions to make in DA3 that have deep consequences with lasting impact, than a bunch of shallow decisions that will have to be retconned due to resources or will be ignored in the next game.

I liked the concept behind giving companions their own "home base" in DA2. I do want companions to feel more like real people who have their own lives. But the home bases didn't do that for me. I'd rather return to the "party camp" style central location where you can go and have access to ALL your companions whenever you like, BUT, when you don't have a companion in your party I would like them to randomly appear in other areas.

As an example: if the Inquisitor's castle is the hub world for the game, I'd like it if there's a "war room" of sorts where, if you enter, all of your companions are present. But if you leave the war room and run around the castle, you might find your party Warrior in the courtyard practicing swordplay on a straw dummy, or a Mage in the library reading about ancient elven lore. This isn't a set location for these party members; where they appear is random (though of course, the places they appear needs to relate to their personality as well, so I'm thinking there will be four or five possible locations to bump into them). This also adds some potential for party banter, if two party members end up in the same location and the Inquisitor drops by.

1.Return of a few charaters...Fenris, Varrice, Anders I'd like to know what, if anything, happened to Hawke and the Greywarden perhaps have a mission to let us catch up on them and their chosen romances.
Please please can the game not be so anit mage this time around. Can we some good mages and nasty corrupt Templars etc.

2. As a few others have said , our choices from other DA games to affect the play of DA3, just as you have done in previouse games. I love the flwoing liniage of these games with one another.

3. I know it might seem a bizzare request given that gaming is all about surviving, could we please have a few missions where our enemys aim is not to kill out charater or group. What got me thinking of this was kind the cut scene on Orlay where Hawke is caught, locked up and had to escape...it was refreshing not to just be cut down.

It could be done as before via a cut scene or perhaps if we loose certain fights with certain groups, i.e with Templars or Slavers etc. instead of the quest ending/restarting because our party has 'died' perhaps they will be take to another location and have to pass a speech check or two to trick their way out initially and then find weapons/thier own stuff and fight a more apponants but spread out, so a longer battle than before but not as intense.

Hope I have made sense there, it's just something that has always annoyed me in RPG games, just for once I would like to have an enemy that is not intent on just killing my charater or group and that a lost fight does not have to mean a restart just a chance of scene a detour as it where.

4. More indepth/intense Romances/Rivalmances and other non romantic friendships. I love that aspect of these games so much that I would love to be able to have more freedom and scope with it. OK I am not say let go the way of the Fable franchise, but ya know I was alwasy sad I did not get more quests relating to and involving a chosen partner or my companions.

5. Again I belive many people have also said it, but please can our choices have impact and can some not have that grey morality. I know morality offten is not simple but sometimes choices made will have one affect or another; sometimes they are black and white.

Also some one said sexy mage coustumes....yes oh yes sexy mage costumes please...I tried to 'borrow' Morrigans in DAO my charater woke up two hours later haning from a tree by her feet.  ;)

1. Make the dialogue like it was in DAO, giving longer sentences which your pc is going to say.
(in a way like --> Sentence = Speech)
2. More lore about gryphons
3. costumizable home
4. Travel system with random encounters as in DAO, the free world aspect as in walking miles to get to another town would be nice, but not a neccesity, make both options available.
5. No sudden party leaves from companions, like they did with your sister/brother in DA2, you didn't have any say in it, they would leave anyway. And then pop-up at the end of the game...(depends on your choices) That just feels so cheap.

6. If a companion has to leave, let us atleast make a choice, as in ME1. (killing the person you hate, giving it a higher replay value aswell, since you can just kill someone else in a new playtrough)

I compleetly disagree with this having a voiced main charater is ones of the things that I LOVED about DA2.

If they'de bring back the dialouge menu from DAO and there wouldn't be any pc voiceacting, i'd be fine by me (No voice acting leaves room for more choices, since the voice acting costs a lot of money)

1. More Fenris :) and Alistair... But mainly Fenris, I like my men tall dark and glowing ;) (Isabella keep your dirty hands off...)

2. Definately DEFINATELY more interactions with companions. DAO was great for that with the party camp where there were so many conversations you could have, but DA2 disappointed me when I couldn't spark up a quick chat with my broody elf lover whenever I wanted. However I preferred how each character had their own armour - allowed them to be much more iconic

3. I love the combat system in DA, always have, so I dont want it to change. :) it's easy to use and yea, its not like skyrim or DMC but it works and its perfect for me to use.

4. I think it would be cool if your good/evil choices would affect what kind of "path" your character took. Not so linear as to completely limit or restrain you, but for example upon completing a quest it will unlock one of two or three others depending on the choices you made - maybe focused to the main storyline so that it can be more specific as it goes along rather than being really open a lot of the time? Just an idea, I'd like to see if it works because I've often found the quests quite disjointed, you can be evil in one and good in the next, and I know that's part of the freedom but creating a storyline more specific to the characters alignment would allow a lot more character/plot development I feel :):)

5. No DA would be complete without a brothel, a dragon and a good old dwarf to keep you company - as well as spice up the random party conversations ;)

Just as a side note, whoevers idea it was for Fenris to say "it was fine", thanks for that slap in the face XD

Ma serannas, and Na via lerno Victoria.

I miss my broody elf :(

1. Alistair and Morrigan, import hero
2. continuation of the story from DAO witch hunt from last DLC. (A Big threat with long story and that there was Morrigan.)
3. CO-OP, MP
4. Grey Wardens
5. The combat system from DA II.

I would add there's a lot more :)

This game I love ... I hope that the third part will be as good as I expect and I hope that I would find all the things that i  imagine there. And I also hope that the third part will be so good that they want to create a fourth part, and more..:D

I totally agree - I only started playing DA last year (to the horror of my boyfriend who wanted me to play fallout 3) but I loved it so much thatI bought DA 2 and completed it in 5 days over christmas. Needless to say that if they only make DA a trilogy I will throw myself off a bridge or maybe take a one way trip to the Deep Roads... :'(

Also - something else I want to see in DA3 is the race option back - it was a shame being human last time (although it was still by far an amazing game and made much more sense as human), but I prefer elves :)

 Dear Bioware,
As a person who plays TONS of video games, I would like to tell you what you need to do to take your video games to the next level. I am a huge gamer, but also a business manager and business student as well. This is what you got to do:
1) The most important element to video games is character development. Characters are to video games like quarterbacks to football teams. Dragon Age 2 has does not manage to develop charcters, but Dragon Age Origins did. Even if your story sucks, players will let it all slide if they have a strong connection to the character. Halo 4's story makes no sense, but everybody rolls with it for Master Chief. Kingdom hearts is beloved, but the story makes no sense, its the connection to the main people and disney characters that keep them playing the game.
2) The next thing is the story itself. KEEP IT SIMPLE! Simple stories are better. Dragon Age Origins was better at this than Dragon Age 2. In Dragon Age Origins its kill the dragon demon and all darkspawn in the way. One simple goal to strive for the entire game and then branching the side quests off accomplishing that goal is the key. Dragon Age 2 took the unfortunate path like that of Final Fantasy 13, who gets away with it for developing its characters better. Too much complicated political garbage and no goal or quest or consistant theme to drive you. All missions felt like chores instead of missions, because you keep asking yourself, "why am I doing this?".
3) Environment is also SOOO impotant. Probably the second or maybe first most important thing on this list. Do not recycle environments. Dragon Age Origins has a lot of very similar looking caves, but the vast size of the world gives it a pass, but Dragon Age 2 it was really bad. The city you spend most of the time on was not impressive and I kept wondering if the story would ever take me somewhere else. The missions kept sending me to the same place over and over and most of those places were not very attractive places either. Elder Scrolls: Skyrim or Bioshock have those evironments that make you want to stop and really take in the view. I know a new gaming engine is being used so its probably already been addressed.
4) How to kill your heros. Do not pull a Mass Effect 3 in Dragon Age. In case you do not yet know what is wrong with Mass Effect 3, I will tell you. It ties into #1 on my list character development. You spent three games building a strong connection with Commander Sheppard and then sacrafised him to save the universe. Gamers do not care about the universe, it is not a worth while trade to them. You kill a beloved character to save the life of another beloved character. That is a worth while sacrafise. See The Walking Dead video game: Episode 5, Lee Everett dies saving Clementine. That is how you kill your hero. Very noobish of Bioware.
5) Listen to me, because this last one is also really good advice. I have noticed a big call for more rpg and less emphasis on action in these forums. Do not listen!!! Rpg gamers are not vast in size, but they are loud. You will lose sales if you let them have their way. Developing games is not cheap. Out of all my friends, all who game like I do, I am the only one who has the patience for a tedious RPG game. People want action and they want blood. I am not saying eliminate RPG, but limit it to only the customization of equipment rather than the character's skills. Time wasted distributing some skill points to different skills is time that could have been spent slashing darkspawn throats. See Boarderlands as a good example of what rpg should be.

I wrote all this because Bioware is so close to being the BEST, absolute best game developer in the market. This is how Bioware takes it to the next level.

I would love to see some characters who i just love to hate, something i believe DA2 lacked. I loved killing both Vaughan and Howe though i still think it is too bad that you couldnø't give a final retort before he died.
