1. A choice between pro-templar/pro-mage/"you're all nuts"(neutral) with gray areas and no clear-cut "bad guy" - unless it's someone else pulling the strings to cause the chaos.

2. Some form of origin stories. Especially those that include racial options.

3. More divergent choices a la Origins

4. Much more conversation-heavy relationships and romances

5. Blood magic explored in more detail (it's powerful? show me. You can control minds? show me. Demons slowly creep past your defenses? show me.) and recognized by NPC's when you or companions use it.

BONUS: In a perfect world? At least 10 more hours of gameplay than DAII.  Image IPB

1. Item descriptions (loved them)
2. Different kinds of dragons
3. GREY WARDEN INFO (why did they ditch out on the qun invasion?)
4. Maybe a god baby. I'm perfectly ok if he shows up in DA4 though.
5. Cameos. Cameos. Cameos.

1. Focus on story (and no time jumps pls - I found it disconnected me from the pc)
2. MUCH better CC (NB: having lots of hair options is useless if they're all crap)
3. Deeper character development (pc and companions)
4. No reused maps
5. Happy ending ;)

1. Make choices in past games have actual impact on the present. I was also rather disappointed to see that no matter what I said or did it always just lead to the same conclusion. So please, make my choices (past and present) have steeper consequences.

2. A return to DA: Origins combat tactics but with more exciting and dynamic animations. DA2's combat really seemed to just boil down to press the attack button repeatedly until the enemy dies, which is something I do not want.

3. A female Quinari (sp?) companion/Love Interest. Image IPB

4. A better inventory system where I can organize, sell, trade, etc. without it being a chore. I also want more raw material that means something and has value, instead of just being junk like DA2 treated non-weapon/armor items.

5. The chance to play as Elves, Dwarves, Humans, and Quinari!

1. the ability to change Tervinter for the better. Instead of supporting it, or destroying it, like what our magister companion wants (was Darius his name? Can't remember)

2. Find out what happened to plot holes in DA2. Merrill's mirror, Sebastian's army marching on Kirkwall, and Fenris's memory to name a few.

3. Meeting the Warden and Hawke.

4. Flemeth saving the protagonist (I LOVE this motif)

5. Locations changing according to my actions (similar to vigils keep or better)

1. Cullen as a companion, jumping off from the steps forward he took as a character at the end of Act3.
2. More user-initiated companion interactions, so chatting periodically, a snog here or there, to make the relationship seem more natural.
3. A story that gracefully brings folks up to speed on the events of other media (e.g. Asunder) but doesn't require that folks have accessed them.
4. More info about the Seekers and their structure.
5. Getting to see more Thedas.

1. Less witty banter. It was great in DA:O, but forced in DA2. Every character doesn't need comedic value.
2. Larger impact from your choices. I remember an article in game informer before DA2 came out, and one of the Bioware guys said something about choosing to save a city, or let it get destroyed, and having that effect what happens later. The expectation that created in my mind was never met within the game.
3. Multiple races for your character. Doesn't need an origin story for each, just the option. More customization would fall under this.
4. Compelling companions. Not to say the previous companions were not compelling, but I felt the party in DA:O had more reason to be with you, and gave you more reasons to assist them with their needs.
5. Great battle system. I enjoyed DA2s system quite a bit. If they slow it down, and find a middle ground between that and DA:Os system, I think it'd be a winner.

1. Our choices need to have an impact on the world around us. We need to feel like we are genuinely changing the world as we adventure.

2. The choices we already made need to have an impact. The import from DA:O and DA2 needs to matter. Make the decisions actually affect the world. It doesn't have to be huge, but it needs to be more than what DA2 did.

3. Better tactical combat. No more spawning waves, more emphasis on taking advantage of terrain and resources to set up your battlefield.

4. More in-depth companion interaction. I actually think DA2 did this well, but I think there's room for improvement.

5. More branching paths for the story. DA2 was the tightest railroad I've ever seen in a western RPG. Let's not do that again.

This.

1. Cullen as a companion and LI.
2. More impact on our choices (this also goes for previous choices made in DAO and DA2).
3. I'd also really like to have more customization options for armor and weapons. Hell, I'd probably be happy with just being able to make my armor color coordinated.
4. I miss the origins romance style. Although the DA2 style made me feel like my companions were initiating the conversations more, there was just not enough conversations for me. It didn't seem like a natural romance.
5. If you can somehow mix the tactical combat style from origins with a bit of the DA2 combat, I'd be a happy camper <3. The DA2 combat seemed a little too fast and exaggerated to me.

There's one thing I want to see that will no doubt be consisted of many, many other things:

1.  The return of the Grey Warden.

That is all.

A "Hardcore" mode. Permanent injuries if not treated immediately, salves aren't potions and take time for an effect and too much lyrium causes addiction and withdrawal, ect. Stuff like that.

Templar / Mage issue handled correctly, Dragon Age 2 had some elements of the conflict which were good but both sides were horribly portrayed with everybody appearing unreasonable at one point or another and even doing the "tranquil solution" for parallels in reality.

Not straying from the "people are worst than the monsters", Loghain was the greatest part in Origins and ruining Meredith / Orsino at the end practically put the entire conflict which the game had built into nothing but MIND CONTROLLL.

If consequences can't be wildly branched, something along the lines of The Walking Dead (by Telltale) could work where the only thing decisions do is impact how people feel about you and the conversations / scenes which you have with them. Having a character nearly abandon you if you work against him or work to save you can do much in satisfying the player, despite you always getting away in both scenarios.

(1) Branching story paths that have variables based on a dynamic plot, characters and environment. The Witcher 2 did this amazing I thought.

(2) A bigger world. I want unique dungeons, cities, places, etc. Recycled environment and being stuck in the same city for 25 hours was a big problem for DA:2.

(3) Combat, the animations are pretty bad in DA2 personally. Bodies exploding everywhere, mages doing dance routines during combat, etc. The spawning of waves was pretty annoying, especially how they just appear out of the sky. As for the mechanics its self. I didn't really mind them. I thought both Origins and DA:2 mechanically were average to above average. However I didn't play either game for their combat experience like I would for Dark Souls. I didn't really like the restrictions on weapons for classes as well. I like to have as much freedom as possible when building my characters.

(4) The loot/crafting system and looting in general. I think being able to create our items from loot/crafting, possibly using loot to enhance current items or using two items to combine them into one super item would be nice. It would also allow freedom in aesthetics. Say you like the look of this staff, but it doesn't have any stats that really appeal to you, so you combine it with one of your dozen 'ring of frost' in your inventory and now it has some stats that you can get use out of. Is it realistic, probably not but it sounds convenient at least to me; and it would give some value to stuff you would almost always sell.

(5) The Black Emporium mirror please. Bring it back. Best part of DA:2 by far. Also more character creator options would be sweet.
