1. More abilities/spells. Especial for healers and such, (One healing spell isn't gonna cut it for me :P )
2. Arcane warrior for mages. It was what made mages fun in origins.
3. More areas. Being stuck to one city is a big no no.
4. Less recycled areas.
5. I want more character cameos. Like Oghren, Sten, Morrigan, Shale, hell even Sandel.

1. Warden as a choice for main character, and if you killed the warden then hawke
2. Alistair as a companion to play, and if you romanced him then no one else can, you can either import it from one of your games or you have a story line to chose from, it also is the same with hawke
3.whoever hawke romanced is a playable character
4. If you chose the warden as a main then hawke become a playableside companion, and if you chose hawke yhen the warden become the side companion
5. Cullen is a playabke companion
6. Cullen, Alistair, teagan look like DAO version and not DAII
7. The wardens voice is soft and sweet, and the males strong voice
8. Alistair has diologues towards the warden saying how much he loves her and hopes that she never dies, or tells hawke how much he loved the warden
9. The classes now have, warrior or rogue mage
10. you can now hear the names of hawke or the warden, i suggest their the once thatwere already given like female warden Elissa, males name i can remember and marian hawke female, and i cant remember the male hawkes name
You know i really hope that they read this so they can add it to the game

How about more of the same of the game that sold so well to begin with? Or do we dare not mention Origins on this website?

Well... maybe in general, but I wouldn't have any problem with enhanced graphics and animations...

1. Retain the dialogue wheel. I'd rather have a voiced protagonist than a mute. I don't see how a voiced protagonist can break that "immersion".  Mass Effect has a voiced portagonist, and I was deeply immersed into the game's world and so were millions. Samething with Dragon Age. It makes your character more alive and as if you're a part of that world and your character can show strong emotions. Imagine a muted c haracter crying? Good thing the dialogue wheel is back.
2. Romance. No "ninjamancing"!
3. Lots and lots of customization options, crafting and what-not. Also, the ability to customize your castle's interior, since I believe that the castle functions just like the Normandy from Mass Effect - albeit, stationary. Or rather more like Hawke Estate and the party camp.
4. A combat system that is a mixture of both Origins and Dragon Age 2, more emphasis on the latter. People whining about the combat system of Dragon Age 2 being fast are living in the past and can't really keep up or comprehend the speed of the combat; we need something more visceral. It never occured to me how fast the combat is in Dragon Age 2, I enjoyed it a lot. You slow?
5. A great and emotional story, choices from previous games shape the story in a significant way, exploration, deeper character interaction, and an emotional soundtrack. More bantering.

1. Cut down on area recycling. My main problem with DA:2 was that the whole world just felt fake, unlike DA:O.
2. Better crafting system. Or at the very least bring back the one from DA:O.
3. No cliffhanger ending this time. I assume the plot will focus on the mage/templar conflict, but a resolution to the darkspawn problem would be preferable.
4. Give the combat mechanics from DA2 ritalin. Not back to Origins speed, but something in between.
5. Better class balancing. Or possibility of companion re-classing.
6. Make it easy to integrate player-generated content. If Bioware is looking to Skyrim as they keep saying, the should know that the game is being kept alive now by the modding community. So is the Baldur's Gate series.

I hope that for Inquisition, Bioware sits down and uses the same care, attention and above all: planning that went into Origins. DA2 felt rushed, thin and lazy which overshadowed the good elements the game had. They should take their time and once again craft a world, not just a game. That's what made Origins so good.

1) The ability to actually customize my character, more like DA:O, but even more indepth.  I want my character to match the class and race I've given him.  If I pick elf, he should be a bit shorter, lithe, with no body hair.  If I pick human warrior he should be bulky, but if I pick human mage, he should be bit more slender.

I want my origin story back!!  I also think there's more room to expand with the origin stories now that we've seen more of Thedas. Per example: If you chose your race as "elf" then pick class as "rogue", then for origin you could have: dalish elf, city elf, noble slave, antivan crow (avabile due to selecting "rogue" not "elf"), etc.  I could think of a bunch of other cool background stories based on race/class combos.

I always thought we should have been able to start out with one specialization.  Your hero starts out every game with the ability to use a weapon based on the class you have chosen for them, and then just prances out into the world to kick butt?  What kind of combat trained person (which my character always seems to be) doesn't have a skill they are particularly good at?  And not just that, but BETTER specializations.  They took out all the good ones in DA:2.  And I know it's probably just me, but I'd really like to see some crossclasses.

2) A co-op/multi-player mode, both for campaign and post campaign.  I would love to be able to play the main quest line with a friend who's over hanging out, or online.  It would also be cool if after the game is done, my character could test their metal against other characters in a gladiator type arena, or could adventure throughout the world completeing quests meant solely for further levelling my character.

3)  I want both DA:O and DA:2 choices that I made to actually effect the world, no matter if those effects are big or small.  I also want to see a change in the environment as I move through the storyline, so I feel like I'm actually effecting the world.

4)  Improved romantic situations.  I mean really... Why offer the option of a samesex encounter when the scene is EXACTLY the same regardless of gender.  No matter how funny it was to watch my hulking brute of a warrior sway his hips to entice Anders to bed...  One cutscene with a "insert my current character here" mentality is lame. Put the work in, or don't offer the option.

5) This one was probably my biggest pet peeve of all but is the most related to my own personal play style... I would love it if my mage could stop wearing a dress.  Correct me if I'm wrong, but since my mage is an apostate, roving the world in a dress that screams "ALERT TOWNSFOLK AND TEMPLARS, I AM A MAGE" is a bit unrealistic.  I'd like something more like Anders or Morrigan wears.

That is all...

'No matter how funny it was to watch my hulking brute of a warrior sway his hips to entice Anders to bed.'

*Giggles* I wonder if Danarius did that too.

But yes I agree please please more attention detail and choices made in romances/rivalmances. It bugged me that in the rivalmace with my mage Hawke that Fenris lost his fire and passion all of a sudden, he should have been the dominate one in that scene not Hawke.

More dialogue options for Pro-Templar players. Being restricted to using solely demons and Tevinter as justification in arguments with Anders with him being allowed the final word nearly always grieved me.

I really loved both Dragon Age games. I have all the DLC for each game as well as all the novels (plus Silent Grove). Everything I wanted Origins to improve on such as bow and 2hand talents becoming more of a viable option for combat. The second game seemed very polished compared to Origins (for consoles). Recycled environments in DA3 would really not be a great idea if they are going to explore multiple cities. I am very forgiving of the reused environments in Kirkwall/DA2 because I did not quite notice it except for caverns and warehouses which I wasn't bothered by. I loved the set-up of talent trees in DA2. Enough rambling from me. Hehe.

I would like to see more weapon types. For 2hand skill trees, spears/lances and 2hand swords/greataxes/mauls could share talents but also break off at point to specialize into either direction. Same for crossbows and bows.

I heard at one point that we will be human with a background. I'd like for NPCs and companions to acknowledge your background with a preset rivalry or friendship like a Circle Mage/T. Imperial Mage player having a Templer companion would result in a predisposition toward rivalry so the player would have to work harder to become friends such as the Circle Mage agreeing about the Circles or rivalry if the Mage wants freedom.

Maybe a small special tree for background.

I feel that they did a great job in DA2 by laying the companions beliefs on the table and the players can agree with them or have the rival respect the player choices. I would love to have that expanded in some way.

The romances are great but I would like a romance "arc" that could interweave into the storyline (example: romanced companion is on the verge of defeat by an enemy army in Red Cliff but you need to meet the King of The Dwarves for support. Choosing one negates the other option). More than flirt convo, sex, end kiss, romance epilogue - even though I liked those as well. Hehe. Great job EA/Bioware. Can we preorder now? :P )

Didn't read most of the posts, but a solid ending would be a start. Some writers do that. Write the beginning and ending first, then everything else in between.

I'm pretty sure that sandal will return, he has a role to play in the new game (judging from the thing he says when you click on him enough times in your home).

If you don't know what he say, you can look it up on youtube, on of the best things in DAII though :D

The biggest problem in DAII for me, was the fact that if you wanted to be an archer. You actually only had 1 talent tree, the rest was bassically based on melee, or they were passive abillities, giving you a small set of attacks, which became kinda anyoning, since you got all of them pretty fast.

1. Race customization
2. Variety in environments
3. I hope they succeed in mixing the combat from both DAO and DAII
4. Fix Zev's face if he comes back for another cameo
5. Meet hawke and/or the warden at some point (maybe even multiple protagonists like fire emblem:radiant dawn)

Tholyn,

I know exactly what you mean. At the moment, I am finishing Act 1 with all Archer talents which works wonders on Normal but I really don't have a specialization that I think would fit like a glove for my archer. Varric and Seb have great compliments for their class in the companion tree. Hopefully they will expand on the weapon types in DA3. There are afew passives like you said, and maybe a handful of talents that are viable but I always feel like the DW rogues benefit better from them. I'm glad we do not have to buy arrows though, hehe.

Better captioning. Sometimes I get very confused about who is talking; it wasn't so bad in Origins, but in DA2 it got worse.

2. Customization:
In order to really own the story, and the characters, it's important to be able to shape and customize them. Customiztion adds ownership to the game, because each player will often find their own unique way of shaping the same character. The Black Emporium was a great addition to DA2 because it allowed players to modify character skills and tactics without creating a whole new game. It also allowed players the opportunity to correct a mistake they may have made during a previous level-up.

I would love to have another Black Emporium type place in DA3.  Characters don't always appear exactly like you think they will when you go from the character creator to "in-game". Sometimes it can be something as small as the brows need to be raised just a small bit (something I tweaked a lot on some of my characters since Hawke had a tendency to get a very angry look that annoyed me when she furrowed her brows...but that's just me).

Also used the BE to change Hawke's hairstyle over the course of the game...DA2 being over the course of years you wouldn't keep the same hairstlye....it would grow... you'd get it cut...just thought it added a sense of realism to the game. Anyway would love the see another BE included in DA3,

Also wouldn't mind having at least one dark haired male LI this time around as well...Alistair, Zevran, Anders, and Fenris...all blondes.

I would like to see reactions from the world around me as well as from my companions if my character does something like perform blood magic in front of them.

I would like the romances to be more like how they were in Origins, rather than the way they were in DA2. For example, in Origins you could only romance certain people if you were a male, like Morrigan. Alistair was not available because he just didn't swing that way. I feel that adds realism to the game, because not everyone you meet is bisexual.

I also preferred the way you could carry on your romance in different regions, not just at camp, but there were little cutscenes here and there where you could "flirt" with your love interest. You could kiss Alistair anywhere, and I loved that. In DA2 it seemed like everything was put on hold for one scene in the first act, then another in the second act. It made it seem drawn out and boring.

More color in the world. Origins was so brown. DA2 was better. I hope DA3 will be amazing with all sorts of different color.

More interesting armors for everyone. It's going to be set in Orlais, so I assume there's going to be a lot of flair in the clothing and armor options. Or was Hawke's at home outfit brown as a joke because he/she is from Ferelden, and he/she wants to be reminded of home?

Oh, and I want to add that I want to romance Cullen. He's still alive at the end of DA2, and I want him, dammit! :kissing:

1. A wrap up on my warden and morrigan....lemme see the kid! Happily ever after pl0x
2. Finishing moves for every categorical skillset/spellset (broadly ofcourse ), keep the combat fluid quickly paced and please don't nerf the violence! Da2 was markedly less fun to play without heads popping.
3. Tevinter, perhaps a player origin therefrom!
4. Open world with limited loadscreens and more fully realized/interactive cities.
5. Complete redesign of generic demon enemies ala shades, they're very cartoony and not very menacing.

Either way, CAN'T WAIT day one buy for me!
