1. When my character swings a sword, I want it to feel like he's swinging a sword, not slicing through enemies like butter. Crazy fast butter slicing. None of that please. I'm not saying slow slow combat, I honestly didn't mind the combat pacing of DA2, but I want to
feel that sword hitting that armor.
2. Combat options like blocking and rolling. I thought I'd have a run on DA2 today after playing on ME3, and I know that they are different games, but I found my self wishing for the option to roll out of attacks, or at least block melee blows. Not powers per say, but if I'm facing a wave of grunts, I'd like to have the option to block their attacks.
3. Duel weapons available across the board. I'd like for my warriors to be able to carry dual swords and for my mages to carry a sword or shield along with their staff. If I have sacrifice some points in magic to do this, so be it.

Blood magic explored in more detail (it's powerful? show me. You can control minds? show me. Demons slowly creep past your defenses? show me.) and recognized by NPC's when you or companions use it.
^ I'll take this as my number four. I'd love for the type of warrior/mage/rogue I play to be commented on in game. If I'm using blood magic for the first time in front of my companions, lets hear if they have anything to say about it.
5. And finally, like many people, I want a great story. I'm investing time and money into this game, I want to feel the same feeling as when I put down a great book, or when I finish watching an epic movie. I'd take this everytime over anything else.
