1. No Templar/Mage Conflict as main plot
2. Interesting new characters who have better personality than DA II Romance squad.
3. DA:O like conversation options and moral/pragmatics (take a look at NWN and New Vegas for some inspiration too)
4. Bring back some good squadmates preferably from DA:O
5. Admirable story, Action/Consequences and Ending.

1. An extremely detailed game.
2. A library with 10,000 handplaced books
3. NPCs that look detailed
4. An outrageously detailed game.
5. A ludicrously detailed game.

^^ All of these sound great!  Except #2 - I did love me some Fenris, so if Mr. Broody and Hawke make an appearance, I'm on board.  Posted Image

#1 is the most important though - I find it's tired.

1. Location variety. No hanging out in one city the whole game. DA:O style locations.

2. In depth and awesome characters and companions with banter and interaction like DA:O

3. Warriors have the option to dual wield long swords with a different skill tree than dual wielding knives for rouges. I really missed my dual wielding warrior tank from DA:O in DAII.

4. Choices from previous game have bigger impact. Ex: If the Warden is alive you see him and find out what he's been doing since the blight.

5. At least 2 former companions are companions again and the rest get awesome cameos. I really want to see Sten, Shale, Oghren, Alistair, Leliana, Morrigan, Zevran, Varric, Anders, Isabella, Merril, and Fenris Again!

6. Darkspawn/ Grey Warden storyline is relevant in the Mage/Templar Civil Wars and plays a big part.

7. The ability to be a Grey Warden again.

8. Play as Warden! (I know it's not gonna happen but my warden was freaking awesome and I miss him)

My issues with DA2 also cover what I'd like to see changed:

1. Although Kirkwall was a big sprawling city, it felt devoid of life. The city of Vizima in the Witcher felt much more real to me. Perhaps the designers can take a look at that and see how it was done?
2. Systems where individual attributes climb through the roof feel like arcade games. It feels utterly unreal. D&D v3.5 was much better in this regard. They need to choke down the attribute advancement quite a bit, I think.
3. I had trouble feeling any attachment to the companions, with the exception of the sister and, ironically, the two rogues. They were all badly flawed individuals and not the type of people I would feel much kinship for in real life. Focusing more on commonality would be good, while still highlighting the differences.
4. I really don't like the lack of a skills system. Even the skills system in the original DA felt too dumbed down. The combat abilities trees didn't work for me either. They need to work on that.
5. I didn't finish the end game because I'd lost interest at that point and it seemed to depend heavily on min-maxing your character rather than making the right decisions. I'd like an end game that depends as much on thought and tactics as it does on brute force combat/spell abilities.

That being said, there were some good things about the game as well that I hope they keep. Some of the mid-game battles were pretty fun, and the day-night map scheme was a good idea.

My heart says Morrigan, Morrigan, Morrigan, Morrigan, and Leliana. My head says choices, variety, well-defined beginning and ending, interesting new characters, and no MP (although I'm well aware this last one is a lost cause at this point).

1) Protagonist Origins (human, dwarf, elf, qunari)
2) Factions like the Chantry, Mages, Grey Wardens, that can be supported, ignored or opposed.
3) The ability to own and upgrade a home or headquarters (castle, fortress, mansion, etc)
4) Dialog interrupts from ME2+3, so I can interrupt NPCs with a hug or the murder knife.
5) New Game Plus. I'd love to be able to replay DA2 with Champion Gear set from the start of the game. This goes for all armor, weapons and equipment and for all followers. After I playthrough once, I'd like the option to replay wearing my best looking gear. This is so I can enjoy the cinematic and cosmetic aspects of the game more.

1. I would like choices for different races, though I'm not sure how that'll work if the protaganist is voiced.

2. Another Quanari/Kossith companion, preferably female. Every time I learn more of their lore I feel all warm and fuzzy inside. :P

3. I want my choices to matter, both from DA 3 and the former games. So far, I haven't really felt an impact of my choices in the previous games. I know people hate this comparison, but take a page out of the Witcher's book. It's never clear who is good and who is evil, and even a "good" choice at the time might take a surprisingly bad turn. (though I know some people don't like it.)

4. I'm pretty damn lore crazy, and I loved the descriptions of weapons and armour in Dragon Age: Origins, both of legendary weapons and your average steel sword. I missed this in Dragon Age 2. :(
So I would like to see it back in Dragon Age 3.

5. Make cities and towns...feel alive, if that makes sense.
Kirkwall was beautiful, but oh so empty. I was looking forward to people walking around, hearing snippets of conversation (Okay, we already had some of those.) and random encounters. (that don't involve slaying 100s of mooks.) I know BioWare can do it, the Citadel felt plenty alive. Especially in Mass Effect 3.

A song from mel brooks.

1: Better Romance scenes then DA 2
2: A bigger world close to origins
3: Not being force to play a human though that already seems out of the cards.
4: A big epic story!
5: Want the game to be delayed if needed for improvements and working things out.
6: Very limited mp that has no impact on the single player game.

Could go on

1. Flemeth saves the protagonist again.

1. Player agency. As an example, being able to interact with the companions as one did in Origins; not forced by the game to wait until it told you to.

2. Pick a look for the Darkspawn and stick with it. I don't necessarily mind a facelift, but I had mixed feelings about the Darkspawns' appearance in 2. I hope that final and hopefully improved designs are chosen for 3.

3. Some of that Origins flavor. I loved the HUD in Origins, from the minimap to the display for quests, notes, and so on. The sleek, modern look of 2 felt more appropriate for a sci-fi game than a fantasy one.

4. Skills and Talents. In the sequel, I missed the ability to, for example, steal, make traps, or create potions on one’s own. They're RPG staples and add to a character's uniqueness. At the same time, I did like 2's revisions of the attributes, and the web style for spells and talents.

5. Interesting demons. In my opinion, the demons in Origins could be compelling adversaries, even presenting interesting moral dilemmas (such as the case of the demon-controlled templar in the Magi tower in Origins). In the sequel, they mostly came off as generic boss monsters to kill. An exception that comes to mind is the encounter with a demon during Sebastian's questline.

1. Some way to consistently role-play a character of my own crafting. A silent PC would be preferable, but if they're going to fully voiced route, either let me read the full text, or let me rewind if I don't like what the player character has done/said. And no dominant personality system, as that just takes control away from me the player.

2. Make the world make sense to the player character. A blood mage casting blood magic out in the open should have consequences, and a mage shouldn't be required to wear robes and use a staff if they're afraid of being seen as a mage. Make the combat system symmetrical.

3. Give us good in-game reasons, from a character perspective, to do mandatory actions/quests. if we have to take a side, on an issue, there better be no choice but to choose, from a character's perspective.

4. Better documentation. I want to know how things are calculated so my character can make educated choices. This is particularly a problem in combat for previous DA games.

5. Don't center the combat around enemies that appear out of nowhere and respawn constantly. We need to be able to plan. Let us scout, setup ambushes and traps, and better position ourselves at least part of the time.

1. Character origin choice would be nice but i suppose with our characters being an inquisitor we will be human.
2. An open world with lots of different places to explore other than a city with multiplae cave systems which look strangely familiar to each other.
3. Expand the party characters even more. I liked being able to talk to them in my camp in dao. Bring in more characters and more choices for them [Like not being able to get all companions in a play through etc.]. Also more equipment for companions.
4. Combat that requires tactics but is still fast and shows of the 'power' behind the attacks.
5. More branched out story.

EDIT: Being able to see exactly what my character is going to say before i chose the option.

 1. A branching narrative which is affected and changed by the choices our PC makes
 2. Less action-based combat, but faster than DA: O
 3. A more realistic art style
 4. Expanded customization for both our PC and companions (and perhaps even enviroments or homes)
 5. The abolition of personality icons
