Top 5 things you would like to see in DA3 Inquisition ?

bows attack speed and damage should be dependant on strength not on dexterity; Bowmen on ancient times had to be able to lift 140 pound with one hand just to drow the longbow, and since bows are the oldest known form of power storage (you store your energy in the contortion of the bow and release by transfering it to the arrow) the amount of damage (i.e. kinetic energy) delivered by the arrow is parralal to the strength of the bowmen.
2. an ability (strength, inteligence etc) system that encourages all classes to diverse their stats instead of dumping all their points into one or two "main" stats (raise your hand if you had a DA2 rogue and didn't dump most if not all of their points into dex/cun...). Otherwise, don't even bother with an ability system: if the ritual of giving us an ability point is just a formality, than spare us. two examples are the gear requirements and lockpicking: If you didn't dump all of your rogue stat points into cunning you got stuck with a thief that can open locks. And the gear? Penalizing us if we didn't put our points into our class "main stats". Atleast in DA:o I could put a plate armor on my thief and be proud of it. And remember the famous "dex based warrior"?
3. in continuation to the previous points: just like armor, weapons should be devided into three categories: light, medium and heavy. Light would be small weapons whose performance would be mostly dominated by dexterity (daggers, throwing knives, fist weapons, hand crossbows) and somewhat by strength. Heavy would pretty much all 2 handed weapon, both ranged and melee, (like greatswords, arbalasts, longbows) and some of the larger one handed weapons (throwing double-axes, bastard sword, polearms) who will benefit mostly from strength also benefit from dex for precision. While medium weapons will the regular one handed weapons (longswords and maces) and some of the lighter two handed weapons (light crossbow, spears and staffs) that will benefit from both stats eqaully. Endurance should return to be the deciding requirement for armor, since how much a player puts in it is indicative of how much he intends to be in the thick of battle anyway, and how much protection he will need. These suggestion will allow players to develop their own playstyle instead of being shoehorned into a handfull of predetermined ones.
4. A robust crafting system. Loot is nice. But weapon custom made to my own specification, both in look and abilities? Nicer. Players should be able to hose both the look, and material, and capabilities. I for example, want a dragonbone hilt with a blade made from an alloy of silverite and aurum, and ofcourse covered by lyrium runes. Starmetal would also be nice.
5. A robust modding toolkit (yes, I like saying and writing robust...). While I'm not a modder, I both appreciate and value the craft of this talented individuals. A rich modding community is invaluable for a game's longevity, and the more they play the more likely they are to buy the DLC's and expansions...

1) Origin story beginning, with various races able to be chosen. I do not want to be forced to be a human again. It is a fantasy game, there are various races, let us play as them again, please. Voice can be handled by saying we were born in the city and thus do not have the racial accents. This could even be commented upon by various npcs (some derisively like you are no longer really an Elf, Dwarf, etc. ).
2) Combat needs to be equally fun for all classes. It was fun to be a mage, it was fun to be a Rogue. I personally found it boring to play a fighter. Rogues were always doing something, mages were also, time and time again I felt my warrior was just stand and swing. Perhaps more active tactics with fighters. Things like tripping, using the off hand to smack the opponents weapon away as you stab, etc. just things that make it as active as the other two classes.
3) Mages to actually suffer consequences for using magic (and especially Blood Magic!). With a name like "Inquisition" I want guards summoned if you cast magic in front of the guard, templar, etc. IF you do blood magic I expect a flock of Templars to come raining down on you. Being able to save Cullen by using blood magic and him doing NOTHING was pretty lame. Make it so you have to kill them all in order to escape. Have masks that mages can wear to hide their identities, so that they can run and hide, with no one knowing who they were, etc. And let them wear commoner clothing vs the whole robe with staff that just screams "Look at me! I am a MAGE!"
4) A mixture of companions that can be both taken as companion and told to leave forever (and not be called your friend later ALA Anders). I think companions and the whole banter are some of the strong points in a Bioware game, and fully expect awesome companions, they can all be new, or a few old returning ones. I would also like the party to not all be bisexual/pcsexual. Perhaps a random die roll (behind the scene that we do not see) on character creation that sets who can and can not be romanced.
5) Since I know you are going more open world, I will ask for more lore vs asking for that. I want to see Flemeth again, perhaps learn more about her daughters, what she really is, etc. I would LOVE to meet mages that were not all blood mages at the drop of a hat, just like it would be REALLY nice to meet honest to god nice Templars. Please make me feel that BOTH sides have a good side, vs my view right now that mages have been pushed into being what they are by the sadistic Templars.
Thank you for asking for our input.

- Finishing moves back, and a bit more brutal.
- Dawn of the Seeker graphics and aesthetics.
- Item descriptions back
- Being able to equip our companions with new pieces of armors.

2) Companions that reacts to the little things you do and the smaller choises you do, example: Say that i play a warrior and i have a mage companion that hates templars, if i then choose templar as specialisation it would be neat to get some sneer remark from the mage.
3) A main character that has a voice-over and a personality. you did a wonderfull job with Hawke, please dont go back to the dialogue system of DA:O.
4) I wanna see some old characters return. I loved the cameos in DA2.
5) A finale that provides proper closure. DA:O is a perfect example of this. in DA:O we got an epilogue cinematic, we got to say farewell to our companions and we got slideshow pics with text, telling us what our choises resulted in. Something like that would be splendid, specially since it's nr 3 this time

At any rate, I want a tactical, visceral, more down to earth combat experience. More akin to Origins. I want it to be difficult enough so that I NEED to think and plan on how to use all those nifty abilities, spells and items that I've been working to unlock and collect. I'm not saying there weren't improvements to be made to Origins combat but eh... DA2 wasn't it. I loved seeing myself dodge, parry and execute kill animations... bring those back, and expand upon them. If you're looking for a slightly styalized aproach, but still down to earth combat, take a look at Dragon's Dogma. Their system is a lot of fun to play and still looks great and could be adapted to fit with a tactical system like DA.
2. More engrossing and detailed environments. With the Frostbite2 engine, I'd love to be shown the incredible landscapes and areas that we've only read about in the codex up to this point. If I'm in an area that is supposed to be dense, lush forest, then I want to look up and see a thick canopy of trees and the light streaming through them. I want to see a beautiful waterfall and the cool, deep pool of water.
It can only add to the realism and immersion so I'm really looking forward to see how bioware uses the engine. Also, if they're looking to expand their audience and fanbase, I think graphics are a big part of accomplishing that. Not everybody knows how great Bioware characters or story can be, so when they see a Skyrim or TW2 sitting next to it, which one are they going to pick?
3. A good, well thought out and executed story that is given enough development time for what they want to accomplish. I'm not asking for a conclusion to DA:O or DA2, one of the beautiful things about the DA series is that there are so many stories to tell and nobody is saying previous stories can't be revisited further down the line. I just don't want DA3 to be rushed, make it a unique experience that is worth playing again and again.
4. Pay attention to the details. I love those parts of a game where you can look around and be awed by the creativity and attention that goes into the little things. I guess it has to do mostly with assets. Unique pieces of armor, equipment, etc should have unique models. Also, one of my favorite things in Bioware games is the flavor text that goes along with said pieces of equipment, something that was conspicuously absent from much equipment in DA2.
5. More substantial side-quests. Make them unique. Fetch quests are boring and repetitive if there isn't a good back story to go along with them. I don't even bother to do them anymore to be honest. Quality over quantity is essential in a game like this.
EDIT:
6. If we must have a voiced protagonist, please give us an option to turn off the voice. Hawk was very boring to me. VERY VERY boring. Every word that came out of his mouth just made me want to play less and less. I would rather be given the choice if I don't care for the voiceover or don't find it more immersive.

2) Make the characters have choise, dont fall for "streamlining".
3) Give me a single reason to buy DA2
4) Dont pidgeonhole me.
5) Dont make nonsensical and basically redundant DLC like the latter DA1 stuff.
I dont give a crap about animations or graphics or artstyle.
If you want to redeem yourself and have any chance of doing so in a world where RPG's are effectively going retro (wasteland 2 and Obsidians new thing) then get the story down.

2: More interaction abilities- I loved being able to talk to characters in DA:O but felt very restricted in DA2 because I could only hold a conversation where my character spoke only during certain quest lines.
3: Customization- I would love to see more styles of things like hair, scars, or the paint in DA2. The only way you could get the paint was if you chose the default character but you weren't allowed to change anything about the character.
4: Choices- I want to see what choices I made in DA:O or DA2 impact the story more.
5: Combat: I liked the speed of DA2 but I liked the controls of DA:O better. A combination of both would be amazing in my eyes.

It's good idea, and a throwback to the style of DAO. DA2's choice of scatterring them around the city and limiting dialogue to only when there was a progression in their story was annoying. I really loved how in DAO you could talk to them for hours about their pasts and their views on the current situation.

2. Less cliff hangers w/o some payoff of said cliff hangers.
3. Much deeper explination of the lore of the setting, SOME anwers to questions of that lore.
4. Less MAJOR setting changing choices, and more smaller ones that dont handicap the setting, because of said choices.
For example: Instead of letting us choose something as extreme as which leader takes over the Dwarves and things like the anvil, where the differences, imo, handicap the story, and instead give us more smaller choices that we can see through-out the settings from game to game. We dont need to make these massive huge setting altering decisions, that because of them, dont have much of a prayer of being realized in the next game because of how different they can be.
5. Make getting into a battle much more natural then in 1 or 2. DA1 wasnt as bad as DA2, but still both need improvement. I shouldnt be reminded, because of mob placement, that I am playing a video game.

if they just fill in the plot holes they are causing by having a different protag every game i would be happy, And maybe something called closure for the warden and hawke.
This. My other big priority would be not having dead characters return for future games. Anders was acceptable because his (possible) death was offscreen, and we never actually saw what happened. Leliana, after having her head cut off following the defiling of the Urn of Sacred Ashes, should not just get back up and start working for the Chantry.

2 - Listen to my awesome ideas
3 - More boobs
4 - Sexy accents
5 - An option in the first 6 minutes to side with who you are supposed to be stopping and thus game over. (Think if Shepard was all "Screw you guys I'm gonna be my own reaper!" or if the Warden was all "F this I want to be a darkspawn. That shiz looks mad fun!")
Make it happen.

2. A bit more freedom considering Partydesign and Charakterdevelopment and Equipment
3. Back to the tactical chalanges of DA:O; no more Hack'n'slay PLEASE
4. I'd like to see more of the political Problems of Thedas, in that point DA-II was great
5. Stealing from NPC should be noticed and reacted on.

1. First and foremost, consequences to be seen in Dragon Age 3 as a result of your actions in Origins/Awakening/2 (dependent on what the story will be based on I suppose). Nothing is more enjoyable than playing a game where you see these particular changes in effect. More like Mass Effect 2 in itself, but on a bigger scale, I guess.
2. Certainly a return of one of my most favourite characters: Morrigan. After having played Witch Hunt, I'm still curious as to what happened to Morrigan and what she'll be planning.
It would also be great if we could see a return of Flemeth again, perhaps in a bigger role than in Origins and 2.
3. Combat mechanics/General gameplay, absolutely a must regarding a change. The gameplay in Origins was simply perfect/to my liking, whereas in Dragon Age 2, I didn't like it as much.
4. More ******- and bi-sexual relationships, both for the male and female, preferably. And please, make them handsome!
5. More open-worldish than Dragon Age 2. I felt like I was in a linear story with a closed world/map.
Oh, and agreed. I'd definitely like to see a change back to the Origins design. Dragon Age 2 was pretty horrible in terms of graphics.
