Top 5 things you would like to see in DA3 Inquisition ?

2. Multiple Body Types. (just variable muscle definition if nothing else)
3. Polearms for mages - if they want to melee instead of casting ranged magic as a basic attack
4. Female Dwarf or Female Kossith LI
5. Scabbards or strap when sword is put away.

2) class ad ability that count. I want back Persuasion skill, pickpoket and lockpit. My theaf in DA2 was just a warrior with little sword.
3) more dialogue option. I know the whell of torture would non allow it, neither would the talking, character, but I try anyway. better would be without both at all. and those stupid icon must be destroied.
4) I want to talk any moment with my party. not because appear a stupid icon in the diary of the mission, and not only in their house. I want be able to chat with them any moment.
5) give me back Wade!!!

2) Endings with a quality of writing equal to DA:O or higher. The endings of DA:O made me sad and angry, but it was a mark of how good the writing was that it elicited the reactions from me that it did. (Quite a different feeling to what I got at the end of ME3, which was basically a flat "what.") I did not anticipate the plot twists in the final hours of DA:O but they were perfectly and horribly appropriate in thematic terms to all that preceded them. I felt like I was punched in the gut numerous times towards the very end; what happened really affected me deeply. I think it was excellent that there were four distinct endings and each had a broad number of variations that were reflected in the epilogue slides. That said, I do think there could have been improvements. I realise that taste is an individual matter, but on my first playthrough, where a kingified Alistair who had dumped my city elf still sacrificed himself to save her, it really stung that such a huge fuss was made over my character in the epilogue scene and Alistair was barely mentioned at all. As far as I was concerned, he was the real hero in that scenario, and my character was still mourning him deeply. I know that some people don't like to be "upstaged" by an NPC but it wouldn't have felt like upstaging to me. I really would have liked more options to express how gutted she still was (because, while it might have been six months for her, it was only a couple of minutes for me).
3) Friendships and romances at least as good as those in DA:O and DA2. I think both games excelled at writing companion characters. More of the same standard (or higher, if possible), please. In particular, I think that the Dragon Age series has done a great job of writing well-developed platonic relationships with romanceable characters. The fact that you don't romance them locks you out of some content, of course, but there's lots of other content so that the relationship still feels quite deep and interesting.
4) Far fewer reused areas compared to DA2. If you are going to reuse areas, at least please update the maps to reflect that you've made certain areas non-explorable with static doors. In terms of not reusing areas quite so much, perhaps you would consider the NWN tileset approach? I have helped to develop tilesets, so I fully realise how much work they entail. However, once that work is done, they make it so much easier to quickly create new and interesting areas while still using the same resources and thematic palette than it would be to make each area individually without a tileset. (I would add the proviso that in my experience tilesets work best for interior and urban areas that naturally have more of a "blocky" look to them.)
5) Stealth that can be used to avoid combat. When I saw that with the addition of Sebastian to DA2 it would be possible to have an all-rogue party, I hoped that DA2 might handle stealth in a better way compared to DA:O. In fact, in my opinion, it handled it worse, making it a temporary power. Please make it a mode again. Also, please don't have encounters spawn in the same way regardless of whether I stumble into them or stealth along. Few thinks break immersion more than my sneaking ahead to scout only to have enemies appear from thin air around me or a cutscene start in which all my companions are with me and no one is hiding even though the opposite was true just a moment ago and the people in the cutscene shouldn't necessarily have seen me at all. I realise that this will mean having to develop other ways of handling stealth and encounters/cutscenes, but I think it's worth it. If I am trying not to be seen, I might have good roleplaying reasons for it, e.g. I don't want to fight a particular type of enemy, don't want to exacerbate a particular conflict, or just don't want a particular person to know that I was there. Please let the game reflect this. Even if such situations were handled via cutscene or conversation tree (choosing to sneak past and then arriving there), it would be better than nothing.

2. Stealth to be a mode again, as Estelindis suggested above. I also second the point about not breaking immersion when a stealthed-character (or a non-stealthed character, for that matter) triggers an encounter, by teleporting the party into pre-determined positions that have nothing to do with what was actually happening in the game.
3. A story told in the form of a Campbellian Hero's Journey; for me, returning to this tried-and-tested structure would be a relief after the brave experiment that was DA2.
4. A sense of jeopardy, which comes from getting the player emotionally involved with the characters and (
5. NPCs that are more alive and responsive, for example in their responses to mayhem or illegal acts performed nearby.
Of course, I'm also concerned by the "big" things like player agency and level reuse, but I believe these have already been adequately dealt with and recognised by Bioware.

2. More interaction, and more integration from the Narrator. Having DA2 told as a framed story from Varric’s perspective was… different… but I liked it. If it is to be so again in DA3, there is much room for improvement. The cuts to dialog between Varric and Cassandra were few and far between. I think there could have been many places where Cassandra could have interrupted Varric to request more detail or clarification on some matter he glossed over, kind of like incident recounting his brother’s final confrontation. You could even work this into the Game Journal and Codex. Kind of like the codex in Mass Effect had voiced entries, the codex in DA3 could be voiced as a question and answer between Cassandra and Varric.
3. A more open world. I would LOVE a sandbox style world design that allowed you to do whatever and be more explorative. DA2’s levels felt claustrophobic to me when compared to those in DA:O and Awakening, though I will admit that they were more intricate and detailed in their focus. On several of the maps in DA2, I found myself really wishing I could keep going to see what was around the corner or over the hill or beyond the arbitrary invisible wall. It is perhaps unkind to compare the Dragon Age series to The Elder Scrolls series, but Bethesda really are the gold standard at the moment in this respect. Imagine a DA3 with a Skyrim-like expansiveness of world design but with Bioware’s dedication to plot, characters, and storytelling.
4. Modability. Give them half a chance and the Players will show you just how creative they can be. Giving Players with a creative spark an outlet to channel that creative spark within the game could be fantastic. Everything from tailoring the interface, to customizing character design, to adding new creatures and even levels and plot could be a goldmine of value to both Players who feel the urge to create, and those, less adept, who simply reap the bounty of player generated content. Depending on how any possible multiplayer is set up, this could also be an immense boon to those who long for the return of DnD style multiplayer campaigns. Bioware should release some kind of toolkit for modders.
5. Darkspawn Love Interest (Ok maybe not that, but something experimental). Bioware should not be afraid to take a risk or two plot-wise. Risks and experiments are important in that they probe the boundaries of quality, seeking ways to expand it. Many, (perhaps most) experiments turn out to be duds, but the company has a history of interaction with their userbase for feedback to make better expansions after the fact.
-Edit- I never seem to get the formatting right.

In no particular order, and coming way too late from me at this point(though I feel like I've posted in here before? I can't remember anymore):
- Non-combat challenges. Not necessarily just puzzles, but also intrigue or something neat that might let each class showcase something non-combat, or give another way of solving a problem other than just "which way do you want to fight through here?" I really enjoyed robbing Prosper blind, for instance. That wasn't class-specific, but it was fun. With the Inquisition in place, it may be a good time to bust out some diplomatic relations, masquerade balls, and tense international conferences.
- Chance to express broader viewpoints as a PC. Part of why I really loved Mark of the Assassin is because you didn't have to stay neutral or insult the qunari. You could actually tell Tallis, "Hey, you have a point." It may be a little trickier in the religious capital of half of Thedas, but it may also mean that much more.
- I would like my mage to feel like a mage. I know this borders on having a bias for a particular class, but mages in this setting face a much greater challenge than in most other settings. Possession, constant awareness of the Fade... That's why Thedas is in turmoil in the first place. It's a very interesting problem. I'd like to get a better sense of that from my PC. I don't need to be possessed... but something to show that the PC is not immune to what all other mages suffer sometimes. There is, after all, a reason why many mages do feel safer in the Circle than outside of it.
- I have a suspicion this is being taken care of, actually, but I want to know more about the Black City/Golden City. Legacy got me on edge with all that information with Corypheus. I need to know more! To what extent is the Chantry right? And, along that same line, interaction with a greater variety of spirits. Asunder was awesome with how it presented the mage/Fade situation.
- I liked the small, self-contained stories DA2 began to master with the DLC. It's what the main campaign tried to do, as well, and I think with a little more tweaking, it could be a good way to tackle a series of problems with less confusion. Similarly, the foreshadowing in DA2 was actually pretty top-notch.
Jethann for companion!

- let us chose between different races and origins for more more replayability (please don't force us to play as one of those shemlen <_<)
- more options to alter the look of our character (scars, hats, eye patch, bandana...)
- if our character has a family: they should not become ugly if we don't play with the default look
2) Party
- many differtent party members: I don't need a dog but what about a golem? spirit? demon? a hot qunari?
- keep the all-bi romances
- more healing characters (in DAO we always had to take Wynne with us and in DA2 Anders)
- Banter like in Legacy/MotA or like DAO Morigan/Alistair "I was looking at your nose" :innocent:
3) the Combat mechanics of DA2 with the dark/realistic look of DAO
4) a really cool name for our pc
5) an epic ending which leaves various options open for further dragon age games

2. My home, castle, land? - Harvest Moon anyone? LOL not that actually! Having ways to have our own stuff and be expandable would be nice. I may grow special grass to fix my poultices, or raise my "Pet" (see point 1) and train it to grow stronger. Protect the land from thieves or special events that put the player into a more "realistic but fantasy" type life. It may be a "play ground home style" that may not be forced on the main story line but could give "extra" stuff to those willing to put some time on it. Blue, Red, Yello Chocobos anyone?
3. Open world - History can merge on a point but having the option of exploring at will (even if it means I will die cause I decided to enter a cave of a 40lvl dragon when I'm at 10lvl) is intriguing. That's part of exploring right? Open World doesn't need explanation with all the imput being given so far by the community.
4. Co-op - Altho multiplayer would be amazing it is out of talk to add 3+ years to this title but keep it in the subsconcience agenda ok. Co-op is more of a small cooperative way to involve friends (in my case my wife) to play a game together. Exploring it could be nice. Injecting some two+ man tasks that required a "brain controlled char" to achieve a special goal in a "difficult to reach" dungeon is good to.
5. Customization - DAO have a lot of customization for every piece of equipment tha was shown on the char appearance. I love what you guys are currently doing of keeping the char traits cause it look "weird" to have this ugly helmet covering my char face. Looting is cool but crafting is better. What about a crafting shop option at home (see point 2) that requires some special skills?
Frostbite 2 is amazing. I'm eager to see what you guys have in store! Keep up with the work and you may count on my silver coins to buy it!

Everything else is optional. Everything. I know what I like, but if you make a good, fun game without those elements and I still want to play it after three or four times, then that's excellent.
Feel free to ignore everything that everyone posts and make that game. The one that is fun. The one we'll want to play after we've played it.

I really missed the tools in DA2 and would like to see them back.
2 - Meaningful Experience: There were a couple of times when DA2 really caught me, but then, I noticed that my choices carried little to no real meaning
Moreover, HOW I play the mission it's as important as WHY I am playing a mission(the story). If I playing a savvy noble warrior, I love when he says savvy lines(keep it up from DA2
Tl/dr: that my choices: how to solve a quest, who I bring to it, how I recruited my people and even class/race and sex, carried weight in the story/game.
3 - Tactical battles: Isometric camera, friendly fire in normal difficulty, AOE spells and channeling, controllable companions and AI strategies. All the things that made DA:O a fun game.
4 - Customization of characters: It has been already said a lot of times, but the oversimplification of inventory may work in the more FPS style of ME, not in the medieval, hack-and-slash of DA. More models for new characters, clothes and so on.
5 - No reused areas: It had become somewhat of a joke the dungeons in DA2, I grow tired in ME3, don't let it happen again please.

2. Answers. We've had some hanging threads from DAO and DA2 I'd like further developed - if not fully answered. Obviously the fate of Morrigan and OGB, where the Warden (may) have went with here, something I suspect was going to be part of further DA2 DLC what was with the way the Imperium designed Kirkwall.
3.Be a lot like DAO and DA2 in NPC's. The companions remains the highlight of the series, the interactions with the NPC's have been and are great.
4. Save Games. Can we get the ME style saves of careers as opposed to the way saves are handled in DA*? Please, and no more of this limits on the # of characters. That doesn't work when the wife and I both burn through the games several times each.
5. A journal that sorts properly. I don't think I should have to mention this but after ME3's nightmare of a journal I feel like I'll toss it in.

2. More varied enemies, this was one of my biggest issues with DA2, for the most part you fought against an assortment of ranged/melee fodder and Captain/Mage/Rogue elite units. Varied enemies that require different strategies to deal with efficiently would be cool.
3. Party members which are more alive. In DAO they just sat in camp while you were not using them and in DA2 they just stood in their respective houses. It would be cool to seem them interacting with each other and the environment when not in your party.
4. Ability to customise party member roles how I want, in DA2 your companions were very rigid in the role they could play (eg Varric could not use melee weapons).
5. Dialogue options: In recent Bioware games the number of responses available has reduced considerably, in Origins we would often have 4+ responses, in DA2 this was cut down to 3 for the most part and then in Mass Effect 3 the dialogue was absolutely horrendous, for the most part having only 2 possible responses and much of the dialogue being automated. It would be great if first the dialogue could be more non-linear with branching results of the same conversation.

3-Equal ammount of straight ok looking and interesting LIs for females (we got a bit shafted on DA2/ME2&3)
4-Endings that matter and are completely different - no retarded ones like da2/me3
5-Get rid of the blood voiceover for my character - you must have hired the worste french recording artist ever :/ i have to play in english or i cant stand listening to the my character or companions - their voices dont match enthusian as that of the english version (or at least give the option NOT to listen to your character)
6- no more retarded errands like da2 had - god it was like playing sims or something - all were pointless -
7- Make it epic as epic as da:0 and mass effect1 and I wont have to shun your products (right now I cant even find it in my heart to buy any dlcs for da2 or me3 - I bought all of them for me2/me1 and da:o and wished they had it for jade empire )
8- Add the mod utilityagain - at least then if we get really bad endings someone can make something better
9)more dlcs for single player- multiplayer in me3 is boring as snot and you keep putting packs out for that
10)No more anime graphics - that was beyond stupid and i felt like i should be playing a korean game or something
11)Writing matters most - use the orginal da0 team to do that and not let that muppet who ruined me3 and da0 in the room until after it has been released
12)Dont do a day1 dlc - im already super mad about that

In the first dragon age, I felt submerged into my character much like the Mass Effect series, whatever class I played, I was that class, I was a warrior, mage, archer, scout, dualist, etc, I was the story. One aspect of DA2 that I did not like was the fact that if felt like it was being rushed, don't know by who and I'm not going to point names, the fact stands that it was very rushed. A very big example of this was the rinse and repeat strategy you guys had going with the dungeons in DA2, different names, same damn map (just from another entrance). I could sit here and tell you that I want returning characters etc. But I feel like you should already know this, returning characters are extremely necessary, specially for your fan base. I could say that there should be more dialog, but again this is something you owe your fan base. I could say a lot of specific things that we or I want to see in the new game, however I'm not.
What I am going to ask, on my knees, with my hands together, is that you please TAKE YOUR TIME WITH THE GAME. No rush, no rinse and repeat, no filler, bring back that grassroots that we all know and love, and take your time designing the game, the story, the characters, we don't mind waiting, some people here probably waited a decade plus to hear back from blizzard and starcraft 2. You fans will always be there if you provide them with something good, something tangible, something that allows them to say "yeah this is my character on DA3 and this is how I play the game" you once said that the best part about the games you made was the fact that the player could make choices, and that those choices would affect the entire game.
I really hope you take this into consideration, you still have support out there, just make sure that our hopes aren't in vain.
Best of luck!

only 5?
well...
1. The Tevinter-Empire (why? - almost everybody in previous games tells you how bad they are, but still, they are one of the greates nations in Dragon Age and resisted exalted marches, the quunari and even andraste herself (if she was maker guided, how did mere men stop her?))
2. More Magic (Dreaming Ability) and demons (maybe a mage character-skill-tree for demonic rituals and summoning?)...knowledge of blood-magic (with more awesome power then in origins and DA2...it was more like parlor tricks there, while NPC-Blood-Mages and mages summoning demons were awesome!)
3. Spying, fighting, intrigue etc. on a global scale
4. elves (more of their history...arlathan etc.)
5. things about the chantry...them liberating the mages (oppressive bastards that they are...not even thanking the mage properly while rewarding cassandra pentaghast beyond all)...knowledge if the magisters really destroyed/darkened the golden city (and knowledge of the city itself!)
greetings LAX

DA3 is my last hope for Bioware...
1. No dumb marketing, no pre-order exclusives or promotionnal items, no partnership with Razor, no Day 1 DLC, no lies.
2. Please, make sure what I've done in DA:O and DA2 properly impact DA3 if there is a save import.
3. Mature content - and by that I don't mean boobs and blood. That applies to romances too. Romances in both DA2 and ME3 are disturbingly forced, badly written or badly realised.
4. Bugs. I'm sick of bugs in Bioware's latest games.
5. DA:O was like caviar. DA2 like fastfood. Please make DA3 like a nice picnic with family and friends on a sunny day in heaven (or hell). Don't be generic, be creative. Don't try to please the fans. Don't try to appeal to new audience. Just do a great RPG.

I buy and play Bioware games because of the in-depth plots and fantastic characters, an element that I think separates Bioware games from many others (I'm a former book editor, so that's not shocking). Although the combat is sometimes secondary for me, it definitely gets me going!
So, speaking of combat, I'd like to see more thought put into the fights. Since Mark, one of the developers, mentioned he worked on Baldur's Gate, I'm going to bring up that excellent fight in BG: Throne of Bhaal against a particular Prince of Demons. I don't know know how many times I had to load a save point before I finally defeated him, but it was totally worth it. I never had to do that in Dragon Age II, and I miss it! There were some similar moments in Dragon Age: Origins, but nothing like that. I want to have to think more with the combat. Yeah, story is number one for me, but without some wicked good combat, I might as well crack open a book (and reading is part of my job!).
Baldur's Gate is still my ultimate all-time favourite game, so if you can top that, I'll be a fan for life! And give me some more kick-ass female characters while you're at it. Someone mentioned better-looking LIs for the ladies, too. Most definitely!
P.S. I've seen it already mentioned in articles that Bioware won't be doing this, but stop re-using settings--if I see the same warehouse setting from DA2 in DA3, I'll be coming to Alberta and knocking some heads!

2.remember its an M rated game, you don't really have to be afraid of fox, there have been more "offensive" games created, you make games for mature audiences, acknowledge that and no there doesn't need to be breasts involved
3. more varied consequences
4. please let there be moments where our class effects how things go, like conversation wise, in DA2 i was annoyed playing a mage because i ran around templars that didn't respond
5. i loved me3's approach with your squad not always in the same spot, please continue with that

2. The Black City or Bust! If this is the conclusion of the current storyline you need to be fighting against someone going for pure godhood and trying to attain it by going to the Black City, maybe meet Andraste herself in the fade to help you against the person trying to attain godhood.
3.More Party Banter.
4.Score a good balance between returning characters and new characters.
5. Choices that matter, If i have to sacrifice a town to save billions, people will still hate me because I refused to save or actually sacrificed said town because a relative, lover etc. lived there.
6. NO DLC COMPANIONS ON DAY OF GAME RELEASE.
more later if i think of any.
( and yes i know I listed 6 but #6 was important )
