2. A strong story with a definite plot and an ending with closure. And while it doesn't need to be a Disney ending and ending that doesn't leave you feeling completely depressed and hopeless is always nice. Also while the improved combat is awesome I'd rather have a great story and clunky combat than great combat and a barely there story.
3. No more reused dungeons and a bigger world to explore please. Staying the the same city the entire game in DA2 got boring.
4. I see a lot of hate for it here but I personally like the dialogue wheel and I loved the way I could choose Hawkes personality with it in DA2. Sarcastic Hawke was one of my favorite parts of the game and I would like to see something like that come back.
5. This last one is silly but eyelashes, longer darker eyelashes for our characters in DA3 please pretty please? Every time I played DA2 I wanted to hold Hawke down and give her a good coat of mascara.

1) Interesting side quests beyond "go here, get this." For example, the companion quests in DA2 were almost all fascinating even if they were for characters like Fenris who don't have any real impact on the main plot. The DA:O "gather ten of this" quests? Not so much. I'd rather have fewer sidequests that had more depth than more shallow sidequests.
2) Immersive environment. Being able to eat, sleep, pick things up, ride through wind and rain, watch the sky change from sunset to dusk to midnight...these things are surprisingly helpful in pulling the player in, at least for some players. You don't have to go all out like Skyrim did, but a little can go a long way.
3) More reactions from NPCs to character creation choices. That means race, gender, origin, class, even specialization if applicable. Our plot choices aren't the only things that define the protagonist.
4) Crafting. I liked the DA2 crafting system but it felt a little hands-off. There's something special about making my own weapons and armor. Maybe just store crafting mats in a non-inventory log so they don't clutter up the inventory, but we don't have to have someone else make all our crap for us?
5) No junk items. I know inventory management is an RPG sacred cow, but it's just not fun. DA2 went a long way in remedying this, and I'd like to see the game continue paring down the crap we don't really need in DA3.

2.Previous romanced companions return
3.ALL Awakening's characters return
4.Co-op campaign(maybe something like you guide your own character but when you are in another one campaign you play as one of the companions)
5.A side quest where you enter in an Eluvian to search Morrigan and her child. A place when you can possibly meet the Warden and the Champion(if he built a friendship romance with Merrill

2. Complex, deep characters (especially squadmates). More dialogues between PC and squadmates. Multiple romanceable characters and complex romances (by "complex" I mean that the romance must be developed and not just occur suddenly at the end of the game)
3. NPCs reacting to PC being a mage/blood mage/non-human/whatever. It felt really awkward with Hawke running around Kirkwall throwing spells right before the templars.
4. Various dialogue responses. Probably the possibility to interrupt dialogues, like in ME?
5. ...cannot really think about something else. Oh, wait - please, no more silly looking hats for mages. Pretty please.

- Dragon Age 3 needs a more immersive dialogue that makes the player FEEL like they are making the decisions that WILL ACTUALLY make an impact on the future INSIDE the game(DA3) that you are playing right now, NO LATER BO ****, but the game should be a game that has ROLE PLAYING with a TWIST!

- Dragon Age 3 needs more intsense HARDCORE combat, not stupid *** comabt that involves just clicking X and Y.....it needs a GEARS OF WAR kind of intensity with a side of the original (DA3).
- If Bioware and other games try to link up with ideas and make just ALL AROUND epic games every where, then the game industry for DARGON AGE 3 or any other games for that matter will, well, BLOW UP!
- LASTLY, if DA 3 looks NO DIFFERENT from DA2 then they did not ry and if you don't try at something...well you're not doin ****.

I am a female gamer and my favorite things about these games which ultimately keep me playing are
Funny Party Banter
Romance
Great Storyline
MOST OF ALL************The ability to actually play as a FEMALE.
In the upcoming game of Dragon Age 3 the things I would like to see are
More options in character creation. IE., race, hairstyles, eye color, and makeup. DAO had the option to be an elf.
More fashionable armor, clothes and weapons, like starfang and vigilence. Even if it is only two or three outfits. Women like clothes or (armor) and dressing nicely makes it more fun.
MOST IMPORTANTLY: I thought the romances in Dragon Age 2 were okay, however, I liked the ones available in Dragon Age Origins better. Honestly I think they should all be that way. To have the option to stay together or not. When it comes to romance, for years women have been buying romance novels to subjugate their most inner desires. In the information era, video games can take it a step even further by making it virtually real. Having the option to look similar to themselves, while they carry on a hot steamy romance in between creating friendships, completing quests, settling conflicts, and fighting battles makes it that much more desireable. I have all my friends addicted to it. We can't wait until DA3 comes out.
The Ending, I was disappointed with the endings in all the games as it left me hanging. There was no wedding, no closure, no real understanding of what happed to our character after. Don't get me wrong, I never want these games to end but I would like a little bit of closure than just closing the game right in the middle of an emotional climax. I wanted to cry after Mass Effect 3. After working so hard to for a romance with Kayden and then being split apart on two seperate planets. Whoa! That's painful....
It sounds silly to a lot of people, but it is true that on an emotional level people have an ablity to relate to themselves in video games. There are studies that show this is true on many levels for many people. So for those of you who like the romances don't feel weird and for those of you who don't like the romances then don't use the romance option.
I have tried playing other video games, and the only ones I seem to like are created by Bioware.

Hanz said: "Origins Warriors had 3 choices: Sword and Board, Dual Wield, or Two Handed. Otherwise the Warrior talents were pretty much a must, and the specializations were useless but for Champions Tier 4 Warcry or the Templar's Smite.
In DA2 you had Sword n Board and Two Handed. Within those trees you had one to two upgrades to several abilities like shield slam or mighty blow. Additionally, if you wanted to increase damage you could go Vanguard. If you wanted to increase durability a player could go Defender. Then there were the Warmonger nd Mattle Master trees. SO MANY WAYS TO CUSTOMIZE YOUR CHARACTER. Additionally, THE SPECIALIZATIONS ACTUALLY MEANT SOMETHING in DA2. The player was given multiple ability options - again which the player coud upgrade a couple times.
So abandon your sarcasm because the skill trees in DA2 are better than DAO. I prefer DAO overall, but I'm not one to throw the baby out with the bath water.
Edit: OH - and I liked that your companions had something special to offer. All their special skill trees were were an amalgamation of Hawke's available specialties. Fenris just had combination Berzerker and Reaver abilities in his tree. Aveline's tree was unique . . . but she was not tougher than my main Hawke. Aveline had Guradian, I had Templar. With my skills I could have stunned and power beat down any single member in my party.
Maybe YOU had trouble with your companions being tougher - but perhaps you should consider that you never really understood how to play DA2. Which is fine - nobodyis good at every game. But just know that the skill trees were not defective or ill concieved. "

It was fun jumping 20 feet in the air to drop my sword onto the enemy's skull (DA2), but it was also immersion breaking in a medeival game.

The complex characters of DAO are what has kept me playing it time after time. I cannot believe that I just played it through for about the 30th time (I wish I was exaggerating....) and STILL found combinations of conversations between the NPC's that I hadn't heard before. Whoever developed these characters needs to be back to the writing table for more!
Speaking of the characters....the treatment of the DAO characters was heartbreaking in DA2. How could the writers miss how rich and deep Zevran was? They just turned him into a cheap one time stand. And whoever redesigned the elves needs to be turned over to a plastic surgeon and redesigned themselves! Abhorrent was my comment after watching my hero try to make love to the matchstick neurotic elf. Wait. Was that four? Yes! The redesign of the elves was disgusting.
I also missed the variety of places that enhanced the DAO experience. Playing in the same dungeon over and over....well, let's just say I have played DA2 through about 10 times compared to the over and over and over of DAO!
I guess that's my wish list for DA3. A projected release date would be nice about now......thanks for creating such great games. I know that DAO reflects a moral attitude that speaks to my soul as well as my mind. DA2 was missing that. And I can't wait to see what has happened to the Hero of Ferelden! Missing in action for a time now..

1. Some way to consistently role-play a character of my own crafting. A silent PC would be preferable, but if they're going to fully voiced route, either let me read the full text, or let me rewind if I don't like what the player character has done/said. And no dominant personality system, as that just takes control away from me the player.
2. Make the world make sense to the player character. A blood mage casting blood magic out in the open should have consequences, and a mage shouldn't be required to wear robes and use a staff if they're afraid of being seen as a mage. Make the combat system symmetrical.
3. Give us good in-game reasons, from a character perspective, to do mandatory actions/quests. if we have to take a side, on an issue, there better be no choice but to choose, from a character's perspective.
4. Better documentation. I want to know how things are calculated so my character can make educated choices. This is particularly a problem in combat for previous DA games.
5. Don't center the combat around enemies that appear out of nowhere and respawn constantly. We need to be able to plan. Let us scout, setup ambushes and traps, and better position ourselves at least part of the time.
Sounds good to me! BONUS: I saw a lot of requests for a female Qunari companion. Obviously these people did not have the same convo my char had with Sten about being a woman AND a fighter/leader. What's she gonna be? A cook?

Kind of 6th: normal NPCs running away from violence not gawking at it or casually walking towards it.
As a personal wish: I would love the snarky sarcasm to remain, AKA like Hawke did it.

2. A skill/trait system that isn't incredibly badly designed/inherently flawed. I hated having to use Aveline as a tank, and Anders as your healer. There was no leeway in the system, you have to have anders and Aveline, if you yourself aren't a healer or tank, respectively. We need the ability to completely respec characters, and the removal of the 'special' character trees, since they were the problem that forced characters on you.
3. No cameo's at all from DA2, was not fond of any characters from DA2, and i wouldn't appreciate the return, of any of them...apart from Fenris..he can come back, if only so i can have him heart-punch everyone again
4. The world representing player choices, from inside DA3, and from your save file imports from the previous games.
5. Female Qunari. What is Bioware's deal with female versions of fantasy races? do they just not like making female characters, that they probably can't throw a huge pair of breasts on?
I was going to add things like: more varied dungeons, the ability to explore outside of one town, more character customisation, more companion customisation, better companions who are not just shallow 2-d walking inuendos (as an example), challenging gameplay, more enemy variants, etc.
But as far as i'm concerned, these go without saying really. A sequel with none of these, is definitely a no-buy for me.
