1) If you are going to claim we can "shape the story" then make it so. It was promised in DA2 and ME3, but it did not happen. The choices existed, but the consequences were so minor that they made them pretty much irrelevant.
2) Stop with this pathetic hand holding. It should be entirely possible for us to miss things in a playthrough if we do not pay attention or do not want to do it. Stop putting little markers up on absolutely everything that is possible. It makes it feel like checking off a shopping list rather than having an adventure.
3) No multiplayer. If you can make the campaign without any bugs, plot holes, or any of the other issues that existed in DA2 or ME3 then fine. If you can't then it'd be better to spend the time and money on making those issues not exist.
4) I did not mind the pace of combat in DA2. What I hated were the magically appearing waves of enemies and the over the top animations. If you want it fast and frantic, then fine, but make it feel realistic rather than killing an entire street worth of enemies and having more drop from the rooftops like ninja's.
5) My biggest wish, and one that wasn't an issue in ME1 and DA:O but has been in all of their sequels: Stop putting words and behaviours into our characters that can ruin them for us. Obviously they have to have a certain amount out of our control (like wanting to fight the bad guys), but our characters should never state personal desires, emotions or any form of characterisation that might directly conflict with how we want our character to be.
Examples of this would be:
ME2 -
Shepard always shows affection towards Liara, no matter how you behaved in ME1. Other characters also seem to assume that you are all best buddies, regardless of how the player feels.
Shepard lacks the ability to openly disagree with Cerberus on numerous occasions.
ME3 -
Shepard hates chess, and doesn't get how to play it. Apparently.
The same issues with ME2 where Shepard will show affection towards characters unprompted, even though it doesn't have any reason to be forced seeing as it isn't relevant to the main story.
The nightmares over the child irritated the hell out of me, because you basically have Shepard have PTSD as canon. Which is deciding our characters mentality for us.
DA2 -
Making Hawke get all worked up when their mother was taken. My issue wasn't the mission or the determination to find them. It was the constant "Oh my god where is she?" "Oh there's blood, oh no!" which annoyed me. My Hawke was a quiet, level headed character who kept their thoughts to themselves unless necessary, but you decided that you'd change that.
I want my characters emotions, attitude and interests to either be out of the game so that I can decide for myself, or in the game as choices so I can decide for myself. I do not want you to decide my characters preferences for me.
Mass Effect and Dragon Age have been two of my favourite series ever to play. Mass Effect 3 has trodden on my spirits in regards to Bioware games somewhat, and while Dragon Age 2 had it's issues, I am hoping DA3 will show that you guys are still capable of the quality of game that you made with DA:O, Awakening and Mass Effect 1.
You've shown you are capable of making incredible worlds and characters for us to play in and with, but sometimes I feel that you are ignoring what made previous games so special in order to appeal to a broader market that probably doesn't appreciate the games as much as the die hard fans do.
