If you can win 95% of fights in a game by spamming A (or left click or whatever your default attack is) then your combat system is BROKEN.

DA2's combat was broken.

Ever played it on Nightmare?

DAO's combat system was just as broken based on this....statement.

You should not have to change difficultly to fix broken combat.

You won't last long spamming A in DA:O on normal.

1. More exploriation
2. Talking to your party members whenever you want. ( That was a big plus for Dragon age origins)
3. Origins stories
4. The Eluvian Mirrors
5. My Warden together still with Morrigan and my Dovahkiin baby. To me this is really important, because after the witch hunt dlc, I could not stop thinking about what happened to my Warden after he went into the eluvian. Also if they show your child it should actually look like your child and not just some default kid that sort of looks like Morrigan.

These are in order from 1 being the lowest and 5 being the highest.

I play on the PC. Normal is a piece of cake. Using nothing but the left mouse button.

And if you're lazy then auto-attack is in the menu options but no one seems to acknowledge that.

1. No level cap. It drives me nuts getting XP I can't use. I should be allowed to be as damn powerful as I want to be. Take out the "level up entire party" potion. I'm still more than a few hours from finishing DA2 again and I'm already level capped.

2. Merrill, Ohgren, Lellianna, Sebastian

3. No Cullen or Cassandra

4. Multiplayer

5. The same art style with weird armor and whatnot, except for the Darkspawn redesign.

That is exactly how a played it on nightmare.  I played a 2-H warrior Reaver/Berserker and just straight DPS'd everything.  I had the team on hold position away from all combat and had Anders heal/buff and Varric and Merrill do some ranged chaos of smokescreens/entropy spells.  The only move I had to do was Devour when nearly dead.  Other than that it was just attack everything that was not friendly.

1. Ability to change protagonist's appearance any time, and as many times as I like, without having to restart, or to travel anywhere first to do it, and without cost or penalties.

2. Ability to respec Protagonist and NPC attributes/skills/talents whenever I like.

3. Ability to dual-class in some form. A warrior who can cast a few spells or at least pick a lock. A mage who can wield a sword and shield or wear some armour without penalty. Create some other limitations for dual classing. like fewer HP, higher fatigue, skill/talent restrictions, higher fatigue, something like that.

4. More Leliana. Much much more.

5. See above, only with Merrill.

1 - Good History.
2 - Old characters like the Heroe of Ferelden (DAO Character), Morrigan, Morrigan's son, Leliana and more.
3 - "NO Multiplayer".
4 - More customization to armors.
5 - Choices that have more importance throughout history.

1. Choices that are morally questionable and/or choices with more consequence.
2. Better customization. This applies to leveling up as well.
3. No level cap. Origins it was way too low. Unless the level cap is ridiculously high like 100 or something than no level cap.
4. More Exploration and more varied enviroments.
5. An epic and complex story. Like Origins where there is so any layers to the story its impossible to uncover it all in one playthrough.

I liked almost all the changes that came with Dragon age 2. I like that the player character was fully voiced now, sure it streamlined your character creation but that's a trade I'd gladly make. I like the dialouge wheel and how that tied into developping personality in your character, you responces mean something. The fact that a characters feelings toward you become fixed was also nice because I could stop worrying after awhile. So bullet points.

1. Single continuous story, like DA:O not the act split of Dragon Age 2. Made me feel unconnected. Like 3 small games.
2. Grander scope. Rumours suggest the game is going in that direction, but to go from saving the world in Origins to Act one of DA2? You're just gathering money. That the kind of meaningless thing I can do in the real world.
3. Please no multiplayer. Or severly limited. There are plenty of multiplayer games I could be playing. Bioware is great at indepth stories that really make you care. That can be easily shattered by some scrreaming 13 year old or a gold farmer.
4.The game already does a good job with the companions but I would add even more of that. More party banter, triggered in more places. More in-depth and more moving romances with more control! Hawke was a pretty frosty lover no matter how nice you try to be, I'd like to be able to influence things more, and most importantly, more times! Like 25 romance conversations, not five to set it up and 3 once you're together.
5. For combat I like the changes made to mages for Dragon Age 2, big flashy spells, but I felt like warriors and rogues are sort of limited. Two handed or shield, tank or damage. Some more choice would be appreciated.

In conclusion I think I want what everyone wants. Good work so far, we like it a lot. We like it so much that the only way to improve is to give us even more. Bigger, better, longer make it huge!

1 - Damn I Miss That Crazy **** Morrigan Cuz She Was The Best Companien So Far.. But Other Returning              Characters Could Be Nice In Different Ways In Big Or Small Roles Through The Game.

2 - Much More Character Gear Costomization! Dao1 Was Great
But In Dao2 It Lacked The Feeling Of Being In Full Control Of Your Party
With The Small Choices We Had.

3 - Choices That Matter With Big Concequences While You Playing And Not Just Shown When You Finish The Game.

4 - I Really Missing The Party Camp Where You Could Score A Chick Og Get Wasted With Ma Mate Oghren And Score Another Chick If I Wanted To, And More Conversation With The Mates So Its Not Only Happens When Its A Plot Feature In The The Game, It Makes The World Feeling So Much More Alive When You Choose When You Wanna Chat And Also Who You Wanna Chat To. Would Be A Great Comeback To The Game.

5 - A Much More Open And Bigger World To Explore With Some Different Looks.. The Constanly Reapeated Landscapes And Places In Dao2 Got Boring Pretty Fast. So Each Fight Had The Feeling Of Being Pointless.

GO!GO!GO!.

1) If you are going to claim we can "shape the story" then make it so. It was promised in DA2 and ME3, but it did not happen. The choices existed, but the consequences were so minor that they made them pretty much irrelevant.

2) Stop with this pathetic hand holding. It should be entirely possible for us to miss things in a playthrough if we do not pay attention or do not want to do it. Stop putting little markers up on absolutely everything that is possible. It makes it feel like checking off a shopping list rather than having an adventure.

3) No multiplayer. If you can make the campaign without any bugs, plot holes, or any of the other issues that existed in DA2 or ME3 then fine. If you can't then it'd be better to spend the time and money on making those issues not exist.

4) I did not mind the pace of combat in DA2. What I hated were the magically appearing waves of enemies and the over the top animations. If you want it fast and frantic, then fine, but make it feel realistic rather than killing an entire street worth of enemies and having more drop from the rooftops like ninja's.

5) My biggest wish, and one that wasn't an issue in ME1 and DA:O but has been in all of their sequels: Stop putting words and behaviours into our characters that can ruin them for us. Obviously they have to have a certain amount out of our control (like wanting to fight the bad guys), but our characters should never state personal desires, emotions or any form of characterisation that might directly conflict with how we want our character to be.

Examples of this would be:

ME2 -

Shepard always shows affection towards Liara, no matter how you behaved in ME1. Other characters also seem to assume that you are all best buddies, regardless of how the player feels.

Shepard lacks the ability to openly disagree with Cerberus on numerous occasions.

ME3 -

Shepard hates chess, and doesn't get how to play it. Apparently.

The same issues with ME2 where Shepard will show affection towards characters unprompted, even though it doesn't have any reason to be forced seeing as it isn't relevant to the main story.

The nightmares over the child irritated the hell out of me, because you basically have Shepard have PTSD as canon. Which is deciding our characters mentality for us.

DA2 -

Making Hawke get all worked up when their mother was taken. My issue wasn't the mission or the determination to find them. It was the constant "Oh my god where is she?" "Oh there's blood, oh no!" which annoyed me. My Hawke was a quiet, level headed character who kept their thoughts to themselves unless necessary, but you decided that you'd change that.

I want my characters emotions, attitude and interests to either be out of the game so that I can decide for myself, or in the game as choices so I can decide for myself. I do not want you to decide my characters preferences for me.

Mass Effect and Dragon Age have been two of my favourite series ever to play. Mass Effect 3 has trodden on my spirits in regards to Bioware games somewhat, and while Dragon Age 2 had it's issues,  I am hoping DA3 will show that you guys are still capable of the quality of game that you made with DA:O, Awakening and Mass Effect 1.

You've shown you are capable of making incredible worlds and characters for us to play in and with, but sometimes I feel that you are ignoring what made previous games so special in order to appeal to a broader market that probably doesn't appreciate the games as much as the die hard fans do.

I can't stress this enough really:
The ability to make our companions, into whatever role we want.

I hated having to use Anders (or even talk to him, at all), in DA2, but i had to because there was no other healers. This is simply bad or lazy design, and it needs to change. I should be able to turn Merril into a healer if i want, or i should be able to turn Fenris into a tank (i hated having to use Aveline as well, she's so bland).

It would be nice if you could allow us to select audio and subtitles language separately.

Like I could play with French audio and English subtitles if I wanted to.

I forgot to mention it in my first post, but I truly hope we see Cassandra again. There are other characters I'd like to see again, too, but Cassandra is the one I'd like to see the most.

I also hope there's some sort of resolution to the Starkhaven plot thread.

1. Different origin stories, like in Origins.

2. Returning characters (Morrigan, Leiliana, Alistair being my top picks)

3. More stuff with the Darkspawn (and a look closer to what they were in DAO. Didn't care for the redesign in DA2).

What about having a voice for the god-baby that isn't the same as every other kid in the game, or isn't like Cricket who at 7-8 years old had a deeper voice than the 17-ish old companion?  Kids tend to get short-changed in games.  They often are all the same age and same voices and often do nothing.  Bioware does a better job than many (Cricket, Walter, Feynrial) but I do hope they give the god-baby or god-child some real love in the crafting if they chase this thread in DA3.

1. Silent Protag. Always worked best.
2. Returning main characters such as Alistair and Morrigan.
3. Emphasis on character modeling. I hope Zevran returns but doesn't look as terrible as he did in DA2.
4. Isometic/strategic combat. DA2's combat didn't gel with me and I much prefer the older model.
5. Anvil of the Void mention. It seems wasteful that a good chunk of DA:O wasn't mentioned, let alone referenced.
