- Decent weapon models, because right now, the swords look like toys; and decent looking combat. I don't need anime-style hyperfast combat. It looks silly and for some reason always ends up being incredibly shallow. Give me slower, more deliberate combat. Preferably make rogues give slow but debilitating armour-piercing backstabs (i.e. one fierce backstab, and he gets an attack speed debuff, or begins bleeding out, or his defense goes down significantly, or ...). Warriors were fine in DA:O, but maybe give two handed weapons much more armour piercing/ignoring capabilities, i.e. slow attacks, but devastating if they connect (and seriously, no anime-style hyperfast swinging of ginormous swords). Also a much lower chance to miss (if not a guaranteed hit) if you're hitting people from behind. Mages detailed below.
- Answers to some of the mysteries of Thedas. My ideal ending would be one where everything clicks together and makes sense, and then we can fight for a solution to all the major problems in DA4.
- For there to be more to mages than being a nuker or controller. Buffs, debuffs, and dispell (sp?) powers should all be present and viable. Also more types of spells than "fire and forget" and "sustained". Channeled powers in particular come to mind, but also preparation type powers that you can cast on your allies that are triggered at the right time (a la the revival glyph in Origins). These can also be dispelled on your enemies!
- No dialogue wheel. Let me choose exactly what I'm going to say, and don't tell me how others are going to react to that. I want to have to find my way through dialogue mazes. It's another challenging aspect of gameplay, and one that I enjoy a lot.
- For there to be actual consequences to my decisions. Don't make me kill off both sides no matter which side I choose!

2. Customization - PC appearance, face construction options and armor/clothing/weapon customization in terms of looks and stats (ala runes). Companion armor customization.
2b - also part of this is Race Selection (offers additional customization and opportunities for varied multiple role play opportunities, also hope race selection may have an impact per #1 above, even a small impact, on how other NPCs treat the PC).
3. Pause & Play tactical combat, don't expect this to change too much from prior games which is fine by me, it's still a top 5.
4. Emotional impact. Make the story punch me in the gut or cry my eyes out.
5. Varied class builds and skill trees.
Can't wait to play!

3. A conclusion to the OGB storyline.
4. Getting to lead a army.
5. Graphics more akin to Origins.

1. More freedom.
2. Better looking hair and beards. And more variety in hair and beards.
3. Better and more tactical combat.
4. More customization.
5. Return of Dialogue personality tones but handle them better.

2. I'd really like the game to be setup like ME2. I mean, lots of missions of varying length, some focusing on furthering the story, some dedicated to characters, and some that are just short filler side quests. Absolutely NO "Here, I found this." "Oh thank you for this" quests... It didn't work in DA2 and it certainly didn't work in ME3... I think 2 games should be enough to realize that format is not acceptable.
3. Elves should be sexy humans with pointy ears, not the freaky aliens of DA2.
4. Even if another sequel is planned, the story of DA3 should wrap up completely and not be left on a cliffhanger. The ending of DA:O was just about perfect, finished the story and characters, but left room open for more.
5. Romance arcs on the level of female noble/Alistair romance. Not one conversation that amounts to "hey let's hook up" and then another scene that implies sex. I want to see the relationship grow and develop and continue through the whole game!
*bonus* 6. Know your target demographic. Don't take EA's advice and try to appeal to everyone.

I want Wade or somebody like him (maybe Mikhael Dryden) to create weapons and armor from cool stuff I find.
I also want Vigilance back. Those damn Crows stole it (according to the epilogue)

2. More Customization. This includes party members skills so I can mix/match who I like to play the game with not who has x skill/ability. My warrior misses DW and crossbows too. sniff
3. Good Loot. I missed the icons and descriptions on items from the first game...lots.
I love exploring every nook and cranny and LOOT! I like collecting stuff and am a proud card-holding pack rat member. I like shiny chests to contain real loot (or coins) not rusty spoons and moth ridden scarves...oh torn trousers musta had 5000 of those by end of game. (And something called Boot)
Random properties assigned to loot would make every pack rat giddy. Not DA2 style tho, too many *ring* with just 3% damage or 3% damage +1 health isn't really exciting. More like (cover your eyes maybe) Diablo 2/Dungeon Siege 1+2. A huge list of random properties which makes finding loot FUN! Plus the added benefit of replays finding different things each time even MORE fun!
4. Tac Cam and sliders + arrows in the CC are much needed QoL features.
5. More exploration and freedom in places one can go. Maybe it is just me but Kirkwall seemed so...small. I felt boxed in the entire game and nothing (except one thing in the docks) changed over 10 years!

2. Complex and meaningful dialogue choices, instead of only two choices, or a number of tone options that are actually the same.
3. Meaningful side quests instead of fetch quests or simple enemy band at night.
4. If you are going to do paraphrases, do it right: no more 'wait, that's not what I intend to say' feeling for gamers.
5. Details and environments that are alive. These two points are especially bad in DA2 and TOR. In ME3 it is fine, but still lacks detail.

2) Let us give our companions armour we want them to wear, don't force us to be stuck with the same look with them for the whole game, giving your characters/party a new look is most of the fun of getting new loot.
3) Past companions and characters having a much bigger and longer lasting role in the game, with things they do/don't say and do being affected properly by past choices (and fix their faces while you're at it, fat Alistair and fat Zevran are just weird).
4) No more repetition, I want new zones to actually be new zones.
5) More dialogue options and a greater variety of choices (maybe decide nice/sweet-srcastic/sassy-nasty/angry and then choose from a set of dialogue options in each category, I dunno). I mean, there's a scene where Merrill is crying over the body of one of her close friends and Anders decides that's the perfect moment to start berating her for being a blood mage. Now, Merrill was my Warden's lover in that playthrough, so why didn't she get the option to do something like tell him to just shut the **** up or just turn round and ****slap him back into line?

1. Iso-metric top-down camera, DAO-style, I really missed that in DA2
2. Realistic combat animations - the over-the-top combat jumping in DA2 was jarring
3. Full nudity where appropriate - no need to be so prude in an adult game. Show the same level of nudity during sex scenes that Hollywood does. Take an example from The Witcher 2.
4. Full-text dialogue choices - I don't like to be suprised by what the player character will say or do - so I need to be able to read the full line in advance so that I fully know the choices to pick from.
5. More physics, particularly cloth and hair. It really makes everything look great and modern PCs can handle it quite easily, especially if you use OpenCL-based physics.
6. A solid PC-interface, like DAO had, not something that feels like a console-rip-off at times like DA2 had.
7. Less obvious re-use of environments - but you already know this one.
Guess it's a little more than 5, sorry about that.

2. I want love interests who aren't psychotic, psychopathic or suffering from PTSD.
3. I want rich, deep back stories and conversations with companions. I want a rich deep main quest that makes sense and means something.
4. I want loot that means something and the ability to wear any darned armor I desire, and to sell off amor that I obtain at a reasonable price and not one copper!
5. I want an ending that doesn't make me go WTF?

2)Refine the UI, I hated it DA2. I've rambled about this before, but I will again:) Quit slaving the camera to your party member selections. If all I want to do is tell my healer to heal me, I don't need the cam to leave my main character, just to give that order. Just let me tell a party member to perform an action, without the cam zooming all over the place and resetting.
3) A sense of exploration. I like the feeling of being the first person in centuries to see a griffon, a lost city or whatever.
4) More variety and more interesting loot. Sure having unique models for all the nifty armor would be great, but I'd also like there to be a variety of abilities and function of the magic loot. DA2 was a sad, terrible. The loot was uninteresting, with each new item just being a tiny percentile upgrade of what you had already. No interesting magical abilities except for +2 fire, cold or electric. Find an old copy of AD&D Encyclopedia Magika on Ebay or something. Spend a few nights reading up on the interesting items, their special powers and the lore written about how and why those items got their name and had those powers.
5) Less romances, I could do without them completely but if they are in the game, cut down on being able to date everything that moves and pick a couple of options to do really well.
6) the obligatory no copy pasting your environments. I bought your day 1 DLC for DA2 because I love exploring and finding new places. WHen I found out that the entirety of that party members DLC was the same exact buildings I had already seen......well you nearly lost a customer, you did lose a day 1 customer that you can never get back, I will wait for reviews and ignore all preorder stuff.
7)I miss stealth that can be used to scout ahead. DA2 made stealth a mostly MMO style agrro reducer, blah.
Special mention-I'd love a combat speed slider. Rather than trying to find out who likes superspeed ninja and who likes DAO's plodding combat, just let us adjust it to our taste, eh?

2. Replayability. This was something Origins had that DA2 lacked, largely due to the impact separate origins had on the story. I'm not saying that DA3 NEEDS to have different races/origins really, but I want to feel like I can craft multiple completely different protagonists in the character creator which will have a significant continual impact on the way the world perceives my character. This could be achieved through more emphasis on class, specialization, looks, etc. besides simply race or background
3. Significant romances. This has been done well in the previous games, but only with select characters (example: Alistair, Morrigan, Anders ). Other romances sometimes felt like an incoherent side quest (example: Zevran, Fenris, Leliana). I feel as though the romance plays a big part in emotionally connecting a player and can greatly enhance investment in the main plot if correctly tied in. Essentially: quality over quantity is what I'm asking for.
4. Exploration. I know this has already been addressed many times, but I feel it is a very important necessity for DA3, especially since DA2 had little to no exploration and felt more linear than the graph of y=0 (I jest... but seriously).
5. I want to feel like my character is achieving something important in the main story line. My example: In Origins I felt like I was saving the world from a terrible ancient evil, whereas in DA2 I felt like I was babysitting a city full of raging lunatics. I'm thinking this wont be a problem in DA3 considering taking part in an all out war between mages and the chantry/templars everywhere sounds pretty important, I just don't want that importance to feel minimalized or limited like it did in DA2.

In that regard, I hope the conversational elements become important in terms of gameplay again. Draw inspiration from the trial in Neverwinter Nights II.
I want the damn loooooong conversations with companions back.
2)Actual impact in the world. Do not give us a pre-created end where the changes are symply cosmetic. DAO had trully divergent endings and very clear options and changes for decissions.
3)Less flashy, less "awesome button", less "super sayan" aesthetics. I like swords to have a realistic size, people moving in plausible ways and combat that feels dirty and middle ages western style. This is not Final Fantasy and it souldn´t be so. The interface, inventory and menus should have that old scroll book feeling, not a Mass Effect approach. FLuid combat does not mean over the top. No more 101 Airborne waves. If they´re going to happen, at least make them run out of streets and roads.
4)New lore. Nevarran dragonslayers, more witches of the wilds... Develop the world you have hinted.
5)No more recycled content. Icons for objects. No more errands for quests.

1) Multiple Races for PC:
Human only is just so boring. DA2 had only 1/3 the character possibilities as DAO for this reason alone.
2) Origin Stories (at least one for each class, if not one for each race):
Many people like to make a large number of characters just to play around. It's boring to have to play the exact same game opening over and over again.
3) Four companions in your party at once:
If we're going to have ten companions it's dumb to only be able to bring less than a third along.
4) More than two LIs per gender:
There's never enough variety with just two. We need at least three each and four would be better.
We could always have the option of romance with non party members to fill out the roster.....
5) The ability to NOT be an unabashed supporter of the Chantry.
I'm not arguing that there should be an "open atheist option" where you profess your lack of belief in the Maker at every turn. And I have no problem with using religious expressions either. I'm an atheist, but I still say "goddamn" and "Oh my god", so I see no problem with that being true for the player. I just want to be able to accept the position as head of the Inquisition as a secular guy, who's doing so to help the realm and not because of strong religious commitments. The ability to refuse to pray and occasionally question the religious statements of others would be nice too. This goes back to player agency. Putting beliefs in my character's head kills my ability to control their personas.
Well, they just shot down the first one, and it sounds like backstory will just be something selected from a menu and not experienced. They could still have different game beginnings based on class. That hasn't been ruled out. Nonetheless, I shall provide two new wishes to replace my first two:
1) More than three choices on the Dialogue Wheel. ie, occasionally have both an aggressive and a direct option, or both a sarcastic and a charming option at once. Having one extra choice from a particular category per dialogue option would be a great bonus to roleplay.
2) Since multiplayer will be included, I'd much rather have the ability to do co-op with a friend than an ME3 style multiplayer.

1. Believable and tactical combat. I absolutely loathed the button-awesome, over the top, uberjumping combat. One does not jump 50 meters while wearing full plate! This was a real killer for me in DA2. Make it believable, it's an RPG, not an action game! So please don't make another button-basher...please?
2. Isometric camera! If i have to fight with a party, i want to have some overview without having to skip to each character.
3. Proper mature rating. If you make a game that's rated M (or 18+ or whatever), please treat your customers as adults instead of teenagers. That means grimmdark story/setting, believable lovescenes (the shower scene in ME3 with underwear on was just sad. At the very least do it like in ME1 where it was believable without actually seeing anything) and tough choices to make.
4. Party customisation, inventory management and items: if i have to play with a party, at the very least let me customise them like in DAO. That means items, looks (armor), skills etc. Also, let me use items i loot on my companions! If i play with a warrior and find some awesome mage robe, let me put it on my mage companion! The way DA2 handled it just sucked.
5. Bring back the Darkspawn and Qunari from DAO. Hated the ones from DA2.
6. A proper end: i do not care if i get a happy or sad ending, just handle it properly. Both DA2 and ME3 had laughable endings which gave me a proper 'WTF?!?!?!?!?" feeling. If my character has to die, thats totally fine by me! But at least do it in a way that makes sense! The god-child and that ubersized magical-sword-wielding chief templar just sucked.
Thats about all i can think of right now...

2. Diffrent approaches to solve quests. Depending on those approaches the world will react a bit diffrently.
3. Giving the player a feeling of exploration, maybe include some more hidden areas.
4. A complete story, meaning that when I finished the game, I want to feel like I am finished, not like DA2.
5. Fun combat, I actually enjoyed the combat mechanics of DA2 way more than the of Origin just because I felt more involved with the action. Generally I like a more direct approach to combat, I like my fights to bit more chaotic and DA2 offered that but also gave me control about it at any given time.

MAI TURN >8D
1. PLAYABLE races (elf, dwarf, human) I do NOT like being FORCED to play human >:T I'm a heavy elf fancier and so is the lot of my friends~
2. Less... 3 points of your personality harharhar that's you.(from the dialouge wheel) :|
----Can't I just be a complex Paragede person? My Warden and Hawke was a very complex person with contradictions occasionally running through her veins.
3. Choices that.. well matter and we can SEE.
In DA2, I believe there was a whole thing on saying that your choices would have a big impact on this game...
....
I CALL MELARKY.
The only outcomes I saw we're freaking CAMEOS. I kinda wanted to venture BACK to ostager and SEE IT. And, in a possible effect, actually AFFECT THE CURRENT PLOT OF THE STORY.
Well, that's what I would do if I was in charge of this :|
4. Better romances, and to that... ROMANCE. ENDINGS. PLEASE. and ROMANCE. CAMEO'S.
I want the romances.. to be.. more indepth, and possibly affect the story as much as you did if you romanced Alistair in DA:O.
Anddddd Romance slide endings, All we got was "everyone left except.. <love interest>" :|
COME ON. DAO AND DAA GOT SLIDES WITH THEIR ROMANCE T_T! "Aliaster stayed behind with you to rebuilt the wardens" sort deal :T
So something similar to that.
ROMANCE CAMEOS WITH HAWKE
I'm a minority in this, however, I want to hear at least a mention of what happened to my hawke and sebastian. Because for pitties sake, at the end of the game, he wasn't even MENTIONED as staying by hawke's side, until DanaDuchy actually uploaded the voice clip. :| I wanted my slide ~_~ I adored my sebby
But anyhow, I want a CAMEO of the hawke's romance and such, where if you went with anders, isabella, merril, fenris...and *COUGH* sebby. Anders, like you're running away from the inquistion, isabella, just saiilling around, merril, just HAPPILY with him (or with isabella sailing XD) Fenris possibly there and sailing around the world with isabella xD, and with seb, SAY YOUR THE FREAKING QUEEN OF STARKHAVEN. Or.. for those who wanna torture him, say that Hawke is going to kill him if he tries to get his army.
5. Better and longgeeerr story...
I spent 500 hours on Dragon Age origins with ALL the characters and options just to see how my options would play out only to be.. kinda shoved in the face with minor cameos's :|
More indepth pls
6. *BONUS* I've advocated for this before and I'll do it again.
SAY. OUR. NAME.
I don't LIKE being called HAWKE. when bethany got to be called BETHANY and carver CARVER.
I'd like to see something similar what they did in The Movies, game, where they SAID the name of your company, have some software or whatnot for it xD
but PLEASE above ALL take your SWEET hoDONK time on this game!
I wouldn't mind at ALL if I had to wait as long as TES series to produce something that is as GOOD as skyrim. (or to the absolute best you wanted as :3)
