1. No waves of enemies like DA2, keep few enemies but bump up health and damage they do, make fights tactical instead of just wiping out waves without thinking.

2. Play as Warden!

3. Rename game Dragon Age Origins II and live up to the title.

4. Play as Warden!

5. Alistair as companion.

They have already said that they will not be using text dialogue, and will be using the wheel, but hopefully they will finally learn how to do paraphrasing properly.

All the more reason why it bears repeating that full text dialogue is considered highly desirable by a significant portion of the fans.

1: Customization.
2: DA:O Combat.
3: All Characters fully voiced for more depth in the history.
4: Not be stuck on only one city the entire game.
5: Choices that not affect only the gameplay but the world around us.

Well, I agree with that...'cept for 2, I personally didn't like how slow the combat in Origins was, DA2 was better, atleast, in my opinion, it was fast, and fun, But DA:O got boring and extremely repetitive after a while, but other than that, I agree with all of those, More Customization and a nice open world like Origins would be awesome.

That is all.

1- Characters: If I have to be human, ok, but I want to be like I want it.  Yes! A lot of customization.Colorful  hairs, make up, tatoos, ornaments, beards. If  I want to add some color to my hair? Blue, green, purple, ok? It's fine. A thin or a fat, a big or a little, a young or an old person. I want to be everyone. I want to feel the moment that I am and be what I am feeling. Clothes customization? Oh armor, robes...OH I will be in DA :)

2- Skills/Talents/Spells: Please, a lot of weapons and spells. Let me tell one thing, I love spells, love, love and love. Sweeties, I want spells from fire, water, air, earth, animals, plants, arcane, curses, light, star, sound, blood, divine, shadow. Did you play Perfect World and Forsaken World? In PW game, I love Cleric, Venomancer and Mystic skills. Please, see it and add something like that. A lot of plant and animals spells. Please, plant spells are so wonderful. Please, see it Mystic spells, roots, leaves, flowers, summons, poison, fairies. About FW game, oh my! See it bard spells, please! I love song spells too. Let me fight with  a harp and powerful song enchantments. I want to feel the Nature.
Ok, all sword/shield, bow, dagger stuff too. Ah add some cool bow moves. Oh I want to have a Desire Demon transformation and another plant shape magic. OH I want to be a fox. Ok, Naruto feelings hahaha :)
Alchemy and weapon/armor craft. Can I have wings? Bring back Butterfly sword with spells.
I don't want more to choose only 1 spell/talent by level. I don't know if it better to buy or learning through leveling up, npcs, itens.
But only 1 is so limited. I am a powerful mage and I don't learn 1 spell, do you understand? Let me be free.

3- Pets/Mounts: I know, I know, not a pokemon feeling. But, calm down, I want to see some crazy and sweet pets and mounts. Dragons, phoenix, horse, unicorn, goldenfish, bear, wolf, fox, fairy, demon, angel, a lot of, a lot of to collect and see it. Yes! Yes! Yes! I want to have fights against rare monsters. Monsters that only appears in certain conditions and some, I can tame them. If you want to have pets, ok, if you don't want it, no problem. Just leave it.
Giant monsters, please :)

4- Enviroments: Forests, deserts, oceans, temples, castles, caves, beaches, mountains, snow fields, volcano, all places that you can go in a fantasy game. Yes, maybe an astral place that you go from your dream too, why not? Feel that place and be part of it. Discover and travel alone or with friends. Rest and fight in your long journey. :)

5- Great Story!  Let me be part of this. I want to feel your tales. I want to have a romance with whole Dragon Age game :)

I agree with this ^^^

1.  have a serious Character creation addiction.  In all games (MMORPGs and Personal Player) I make tons of characters just so I can play around with all the hairs, faces, and body types.  I want to have creative Freedom!

2. Ditto from above.

3. Mounts.  For heavens sake.. running around the world is good and all but you cant tell me that a Warden in DA:O didnt eventually buy a horse!  Hell that would have been the first thing my character would have done!  My Hawk in DA2 must have had killer calves from all that running.

4. A nice world to run in is always a plus.  I cant really add more here as everyone has covered this to death.

5. A plot that will pull me in.  No jump scares, no cheep payoffs.  Make me care!  Make me despise people for doing bad things to my character and her companions and most importantly.. Allow me to do something about it!!!  If at the very least have some serious cutscene or dialogue where the companions can talk about it in depth.

Sebastian Vael and his army. Also, maybe he loses his faith, especially with the whole Inquisition thing going on. Maybe we get to see the Seb that didnt take his vows seriously.
I am a little heartbroken that i am going to be "forced" to be human again. Either way Bioware, I know the game will be epic.
I really do hope we get an open world. Sometimes i just want to jump off a cliff. I do it all the time in Skyrim. lol.
Is there a chance that the elves would be reverted to their original selves? I mean, they did an awesome job trying to make them different than humans (qunari were cool), but...the lore implies that they used to be "attractive and beautiful." I guess if they remain langy, I dont mind being human.
Thanks for everything Bioware <3 super excited!

1 do NOT use DA2 as foundation for DA3, its a terrible idea

2. keep the graphics

3. NEW combat that is realistic like DAO but it should be faster, DOnt use DA2s combat.

4, choices should matter from previous game

5, allow to continue your previous characters story, ( warden, hawke) dont not let there story be left to imagination. ( after WH the wardens story is left open if you watch morrigan walk through the eluvian.)

1. Continue the story of The Hero of Ferelden, and The Champion of Kirkwall:  Not as protagonist obviously, but it would be cool to have them play big roles in the plot.  Maybe we could even help them at one point in a side quest or even a mission.

2.Customization beyond physical: Have unique backgrounds for the next protagonist.  But make it much more in depth, and important than what we got in Mass Effect.  Like have you past catch up with you at some point.

3.Return of Morrigan in all her sexy witch glory:...I mean come on, it's Morrigan, and I miss her already...she has my Warden's kid.

4.Negative consequenses of past choices: We only ever see good things. Maybe we can see negative consequenses for major choices like which warden is alive (Original or Orlesian), Champion's choice(Templar or Mage), or what not.

5.Companions: I would like to see a mix of Old, and New.

To actually make your decisions matter, make it so that everyone have to make multiple choices, so the choices shapes the game experience. Lately it seems that there is only one end, and all path leads to the same thing. Lets get back to the basics, and focus on getting an ending that is unique and prompt people to keep on playing.
2) make DLC that isn't a cash grab, go back to Massive expansions.

Honestly, my reply to this pretty much summarises as "More of Dragon Age: Origins", posted five times.

I'm starting to view this franchise as an abusive partner; I despise it, yet I keep coming back in the hope something has changed, only to find nothing has. Most of my top 5 have already been shot down, but I'll repost them anyway:

1. Alternate races. My Dwarf playthrough was my favourite to date.
2. [Playable] Origin Stories.
3. Silent Protagonists (you clearly can't make voiced ones worth listening to, if Hawke is any judge).
4. More info on the non-humans (especially Dwarves and Qunari).
5. No more ****ed up in the head Chantry lunatics. Seriously, the less of the Chantry we see, the better.

An addition to my list that is somewhere in this thread..(that I stole from Rapscallioness)
The ability to choose, or at least having to look for, a place to set up camp in different parts of Thedas to give you more the idea that you really are travelling around and see the landscape changing

- More ways to end a quest rather than killing everything and everyone.
- That my choices from the other games have an impact.
- Better customization.
- Heartbreak and heart whelming moments.
- Twists... I do not want to be able to predict whats going to happen again.

Also as an extra that doesn't really make it into my top 5- Id rather not see any previous companions.

1. Dynamic weather patterns. I would love to see my PC and companions fighting in a thunderstorm or blizzard.
2. That mages be more physical when attacked up close like in DA2
3. A female "Qunari" companion/LI whose been raised free of the Qun.
4. More exotic weapons like scythes, katars, etc.
5. Companions have more customizable armor options.

1. A Dalish Elf companion. Preferably a Hunter instead of a mage.
2. Interaction with Magisters beyond killing them. I would actually like to talk to one a see how they view Tevinter.
3. Elven slaves for the castle
4. People to recognize the blood magic specialization and to react appropriately
5. Female Kossith LI (what? You knew I had to do it)

1. Choices that matter. They don't necessary need to affect the ending in a big way (for the sake of DA4 importing), but I want choices throughout the game to have instant repercussions that are varied enough to make successive playthroughs feel different.
2. More reactive player character. I want to feel like I'm actually having a big affect on the story, and that stupid things aren't happening because I don't have the choice to stop them.
3. Return of passive skills like persuasion, steal.
4. A world that feels alive. People should be doing things, not standing there or walking back and forth. There should be animals running around.
5. Customisable companion armour.

Given that Bioware has unequivocally stated that DA3 WILL have the Dialog Wheel, I am hopeful that this topic will not beat a dead horse and morph into a topic that praises the virtues of full text dialog.

In addition to improved paraphrasing for DA3, I am also hoping that dialog tones (diplomatic, humorous, aggressive etc) ...
Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image
... might also behave like "choices" or "special choices" ...

Posted ImagePosted Image
... and that these "tones" or "choices" might sometimes affect which "investigate" options might appear next on the Dialog Wheel ...
Posted Image
Examples:

DAO - While in Ostagar, offering to get food right away for the caged "Hungry Prisoner", can prevent the Warden from finding out about "The Key" to a nearby chest.

DA2 - After Isabela jumps the Hawke's bones for the first time, having Hawke dismiss the possibility of "Love" can prevent Hawke from finding out more about Isabela's background.

In other words ...

I am hoping that there will be more dialog "choices" that could possibly affect future options for the Inquisator, and might even have an effect on the plot.

1. Playing as different races
2. Changing armor on companions like in the first one.
3. Morrigan's child
4. Elves looking like they did in DA:O (I still hate what they did to Zev in 2!)
5.Flemeth (Morrigan's cryptic warning of her Mother in Witch Hunt makes me hope this is answered completely!)

Minor things like more and better romance options ( Cullen...sigh...after my warden mage flirted with him in DA:O, I want!!!), return of characters from other games and such are all things that would be nice, but the others on a much higher demand for me.

1) A compelling, complete story. DA2's story was scattershot, with this constant feeling that you're railroaded into every action. More than just the decisions you make, the game just offered no motivation. Oh, you're here, now do fetch quests for a few days until you have the cash to get railroaded into the next section of the game. Now a completely new problem arises! End problem. New problem shows up out of nowhere. Why do we care about any of it? Why am I bringing this crap to the Dalish and recruiting ditzy blood mages? The whole game was a disjointed mess.

2) No more shoe-horned bisexual bull**** romances. If characters are bisexual, so be it, but that is part of their character. None of the options in DA2 had any character to their romance whatsoever, all removed to make them bed-able by both sides. Homosexuals? Sure. Juhani was a lesbian. Cortez was gay (though that was played up a bit too much -- wish there were more about his love of spacecraft and less about Steve). That is their character. They aren't blank slates waiting for the right Player Character to show up and show them the ways of heterosexual/homosexual sex. And speaking of which, Zev was funny with his absurd obsession with sex, but we're over that. Please stop acting like all bisexuals are whorish sex fiends.

3) Combat that knows what the hell it is. DA2's combat was somewhere between the nuanced tactical cRPG and the classic console action-RPG, and it ended up failing wildly on both ends. The combat was neither complex nor engaging. I adore a good hack-n'-slash, and probably enjoyed Ys Origin more than any game in years. I've poured more hours than I care to count into Fallout, Planescape: Torment, and their ilk. I love it. I can love either side, but DA2's combat was just the personification of an identity crisis.

4) Context-sensitive dialogue. Dialogue wheels make for bad games when they offer options that don't make sense or are not what was intended. Some dialogue options just didn't make sense and were shoved on for the sake of the dialogue wheel, and you never knew whether the wheel was going to give you want you really want. Sometimes it's a tactful, hopeful remark about making the best of a bad situation; sometimes it's mocking a man's recently-deceased son. Which shows up is unknowable beforehand. Maybe we want to be an arrogant ****. That's fine. But let us know beforehand what we're saying so we don't want to ragequit at the absurdity of what was just said.

5) Arcane warriors. I mean, I still wore heavy armor on my mage in DA2, but there's really no good reason why we shouldn't be able to be sword-wielding mages. Or perhaps that's not what I really want to say. What I really want to say is this: if you have another set of mutually-exclusive specs, many goats will have to be sacrificed as penance. No, no, that's not right. Maybe I should put it this way: give us real skill customization and not just the ability to pump two token stats on each character with no overlap.
