1) Multiple, distinctly different, endings. No forced bittersweet no matter what endings, or balanced so everything has the same amount of upsides and downsides, just letting you decide where you get punched and what flavour sweet you get. At the very least a happy and a sad ending, but ideally loads of little variations between.

And if you must go with a single themed end with the same result, just arranged differently approach, remember this is a GAME, and it needs to at the very least be SATISFYING. Don't ruin the entire franchise in a failed attempt to be artistic and clever like the end of ME3.

2) Characterisation and interaction. This is something I'm not really worried about, but isn't always as on the mark as it can be. Remember that more than anything these games are about the small scale plots, and the companions and NPC's who bring the universe to life. Make me care about a character, and I'll care about their story, and how it and they fit into the greater narrative. More conversations, and dialogue options are vital for this.

3) As little autodialogue as possible. It ruins immersion and breaks the flow of the story to only have control of the main character some of the time. If its something obvious and/or is needed to move the plot along, then fine, but if the main character expresses and opinion or makes a decision we should where ever possible be in control, even if its only to give the tone and motivation for what results in the same outcome.

4) A bigger scope and scale than DA2. Don't stick us in a single city again. It's just not as much fun, limits the variety of levels and potential for encountering new people and expanding the lore. I'd actually argue that Awakening felt more like a sequel and DA2 an expansion purely because of how limited the worldview of DA2 was. These games are massive fantasy epics, so let us go out into the world to explore and see what amazing things are out there for us to find.

5) Decisions and Consequences. Choice is something DAO/A nailed and DA2 stuffed up completely. Let us make proper decisions that will have lasting consequences, both major and minor, and show us the results in the end of the game, with actual significant variations in what those choices end up giving us. If we make a mistake, let us have to live with it, and try again on another playthrough, but also don't punish us for make one choice over another, just give different content. DAO did this stuff flawlessly, so it's more than possible.

But really, more than anything, I just want this game to be as little like ME3 as possible. DA2 had its flaws, but it's DA's sister franchise disappearing up its own anus that's meant I'm not preordering DA3. Prove you're better than Mac Walters and Casey Hudson's abortion of a game and I'll be overjoyed.

1) Choices that matter, a la Witcher 2.

2) A multiplayer mode something like ME3MP, but with the DA engine. And more game modes (i.e. - more than one). ME3 kinda limited the enemies in that you could only really be fighting Reaper forces. In a DA game we can be fighting anything from drunks to doppelgangers.

3) Better combat than DA2 and DA:O.
-DA:O combat was kinda slow and clunky, but the two handers felt spot on.
-DA2 combat was way too fast, but the mage combat was perfect.
-Archery, 1-handed, and dual wielding need to be somewhere in between.
-Maces and axes need to be differentiated from swords, because stabbing someone in the face with a sword as a killmove is fine, but doesn't work nearly as well with a mace.
-Warhammers would be a nice addition

4)Larger world than DA2 (and preferably DA:O), with no copy-pasted environments.

5) Have companions start their own romance if you don't romance either, and if you try to romance them later on they would rebuff you, or their partner would get huffy at you.
or
The ability to tear the Chantry's heart from its chest with all the Templar helpless. (I may have played a mage too much).

6) No Varric narrating my story. I want my story to be told by me.

Here what I hope to have in dragon age 3, Inquistion

1.Storyline !
Dragon age origins was the best story for dragon age.
More origin CC races story will allow more play thought,
because I want to know what will happen with this races
In Dragon age origins we had interesting story line, great character and funny side character.
In Dragon age 2 I had weak story line, it feel like clean up. Only 2 great characters Bethany, Varric .
A lot important character It give me a reason to wait for dragon age 3.

2.Combat!
Dragon age 2 combat to was better but I miss the window that let me switch weapon.
The enemies feel to digital and only boss made me think.
I hope dragon age 3 will pass dragon age 2 in combat.

3. Serious Romance
Better partner is the most important thing I will say that dragon age 2 didn't have.
But the reason I like dragon age origin character was the main story was better .
I also don't want to get sick or be used to by a demon girl lover lol.
I Also would love to get a partner like Mhairi ( why can't I get second like loghain has ).
I would also like to talk to them random area not just at one place ( I like to ask what do they think of this place )

4. Area
Location Is important dragon age 2 was cool but I need more,
My own castle after saving the world would be nice and people to judge or help would also feel nice.

5. Armor
How can i explain to u that wait to the end to get a armor and I only have 7-16 hour of gameplay left is not enough. Why can't i get best armor at the beginning with a lot of hard work. Where the blacksmith ,I would also like mage armor to be made as well. People like keeping gold so they have enough for add on or D.A.4 (where the hell is dragon age 2 awakening? )
Keep the stat on the armor the same just make it hard to get at the beginning like a high lvl monster.
Thank You

Just to point out, Walters and Hudson decided themselves only the endings. If you think ME3 as a whole is an abortion, you should criticize the entire ME team.

a) Finish up the Warden's story (Old God Baby?), never really liked Hawke.
B) Reoccurring characters like Morrigan (who my main character romanced), Leliana, Alistair, etc.
c) Dual Wielding Warrior (really miss it)
d) Multiple origins/races (human-only again? COME ON)
e) More radical possibilities, the whole action-consequence thing should have more impact
f) Make the combat more life-like (for lack of a better description). I personally could never get used to the rogue's overly-flamboyant movements. The pace is good though!
g) Decrease the cool-down time for talents/spells/potions, crazy slow in DA2.
h) More variations equipment types and GET RID OF GENERIC ITEMS/TRASH. (eg. Ring, Paper).

1. Morrigan and Isabela coming back! God damn i missed them!
2. A slick multiplayer or atleast co-op that doesn't completely affect the singleplayer.
3. Please, please give us the character interactions back from DA:O, and give us more. Unlock some of it as the story progresses, so instead of using it all up, we have enough to keep us going throughout the game.
4. More detail, larger maps, beautiful textures, and keep some of the combat aspects from DA2, although i hated the fact its not realistic, i really enjoyed the smooth sword action, instead of the monotone swordplay from DA:O (Which i cannot complain too much about, since i loved DA:O to the core)
5. And finally, give us great romances. Not DA2 style, but more like DA:O, but better. Make the story line, and the interactions so good that it will make me replay the game 20 times over, and then when im satisfied, allow me to make one more run-through without getting bored.

Also, keep the amazing story lines, make the changes from DA:O and DA2 count, and make them impact the world, and keep on changing it as you go. Give the player choice, but don't make the mistake of having a sandbox game, instead of a RPG. (Unless it has a similar take on it as Skyrim did.)

1. Dialog's - I would really love that the dialog's are much better written than in DA2, more than 3 options(good, neutral, evil), so that we can really feel the character that we play.
2. Items - One thing that i really love about RPG's are collecting all kind of armor, weapons, and other little things. So i would love to see plenty of armors and weapons, option to customize it, crafting armors and weapons from rare materials, searching for rare equipment in mysterious places...etc
3. Bigger world, larger maps, more realistic cities...
4. Romance - If romance could be something like that in Mass Effect i would be pleased, of course make characters that can we can really come to love, make it more complex, add drama to it, make it feel real.
5. Combat - Try to find balance between DA:O and DA2. I prefer more tactical approach to combat but a little bit more attractive pace wouldn't hurt.

People have said this a million times but I want to see more of a variety for clothing and armor.

Look at Dragon's Dogma and how they handled armor - it was layered on top of clothing and you could mix and match. Steal that idea - I won't tell Capcom.

1) Rogues able to disarm traps an spot traps like in Dragon Age Origins not the lazy way of DA2.
2) Each of our origional hero's with Love Interest's in tow for diffrent missions with our new hero helping out in some way even if not an actual part of the party sorta like a tie in with the hero of Frelden an the hero of Kirkwall.
3) Mage outfits with cloaks and hoods, not those silly hats.
4) Bring back the races and backgrounds like in the first DA and main character doesn't need to be voiced, also add in the couple new races say from the Tevinter Imperium.
5) Slow combat movements down abit as they were way to fast in DA2 no person can move that fast except maybe the flash.
6) Co-op play but not affecting single player game! An idea for this would be being a part of the diffrent blights from ages past to the current blight or fending off attacks from demons from tears in the viel to simplly fighting pirates or even being a part of the attack against the wardens in Vigils Keep. But it should not affect single play in any way.
7) Bring back Wade & Herren these 2 are great comedy relief.
8) Do not bring in the horrendous Inventory of DA2 the graphics on items was to cartoonish an not very enjoyable.
9) Being able to talk to companions while on missions liked that in DA:O.
10) Bigger area's to explore like in DA:O with more diversity, while I understand Kirkwall was a city an didn't change much the island an caves could have had much wider diversity. Also in DA3 don't shorten missions felt like ME3 missions got shorter an I realize DA team isn't ME team just wanted to say I really enjoy exploring and finding pieces of history hidden in nooks and cranny's others might miss as well as some cool gear not found on merchants.
Thats my list I went over the 5 sorry, many apology's!

1. No companions forcing their way into my group. I'm getting fed up with this, and I curse Bioware every time Ogren forces himself into the group at Branka. It's so forced that turning him away before hand results in a Ghost Ogren forcing himself into the group for speaking purposes. I don't mind a camp where companions can hang out, but let me decide who I'm going to bring - always.

2. Less silly armor; mage hats in DAO that looked like potato bags are ugh, as well as the torso armor in DA2 that looks like it has a book holder sticking out of the upper chest.

3. Please no more physical teleportation of the entire group to be present at the NPC I'm speaking to, especially if a fight is going to break out. These days Bioware seems to think the conversation is more important than tactics, in a game with plenty of combat.

4. Spawns of enemies from reasonable places - that means no more falling from the sky or appearing out of thin air.

5. Combat more like DAO and less like DA2.

1) No Day 1 DLC (the magic pig just flew past my window)

2) Storyline affecting choices (died with Dragon Age Origins, maybe a ressusitation of them?)

3) Somebody who actually says what I tell them to say (DA2 proved I could tell me character to say something, and they say something completely different)

4) NO MOTHER F***ING GIANT ASSED SPIDERS!!!!! The Big ones are bad enough, BUT FILLING THE SCREEN SIZED! NO!

5) Look nicer, the massive blocky health bars and stupid sized stuff some DA2 wasn't good

1. Stop the greed, no Day One DLC's, let players finish the game first, then release the DLCs.
2. Be able to play other races much like Dragon Age Origins
3. Creative and varied side-quests that are rewarding for players to undertake
4. Allow players the freedom to equip the whole party (same as DAO)
5. Free roaming environment which Skyrim has superbly achieved

1. A romanceable male Kossith (preferably with horns). Yep, I said it and meant it!

2. Par Vollen/Seheron as visitable/explorable areas and more Qunari/Kossith lore to accompany them.

3. Companion interactions ala DAO, specifically being able to interact/speak with to companions at will in any area. And more conversations with companions.

4. Much more tactical and far less flashy combat. Also, greater variety in enemies as I really disliked the predictability of every encounter.

5. Many more options for companion armor appearance. I know it has been stated that the writers, developers, or whoever like the individual look for each of the companions, but I preferred the DAO style.

Several of the things I want very much to see in DA:I you've already confirmed. Ok one of the things.  Lord in heaven I was Pissed about the inability to customize armor on companions but thank you for listening to that.  To add to the list how about this.

1. Don't try to force me to side with the mages.

     (In spite of the events of DA:2 every bit of lore that I read from DA:O stated clearly that mages were and are a giant threat even if they don't intend to be.  Don't try to convince me that blood magic isn't so bad, because according to lore the simple act of using it is in fact evil.  {reference books}.  I'm in no way saying that the story needs to go one way or the other, I'm just saying that I don't like it when a sequal tries to force opinions on you that the original story contridicts.  {Star Wars is a good example of taking something and forcing a perspective that you might not share down your throat.}

2. Please for the love of pete do not flood the game with super items.
(One of the things I loved in DA:O was that when you got new armor not everything was super special.  Iron boots were just iron boots and sometimes they were perfect other times they were meh.  But, once all the DLC came in all the gear made beating the game just way too easy.  DA:2 was even worse with all the promotional items.

3. I want to see your party react and give you options during quests based on how you have interacted with   them.  (rivalry/friendship, Aggressive/passive, Templar supporter/Apostate sympathizer.)

4. Please move back more towards the combat style of DA:O
I know we arn't going to convince you to go back to the original combat style no matter what we say but please for the love of pete change it so that I'm not spamming X for twenty min trying to kill a skeleton.  It's annoying and I hate it.  If I wan't to play an action game I'll throw in Dragon's Dogma (which had a story as thick as bible paper. blech.)

5. Please incorperate ME1's Medal system.
I don't know why that team did alot of the things they did, but discarding (modifying it so that it didn't mean anything anymore.) was a serious let down.  In ME1 when you reached specific requirements (ie. using an ability 75 times, or killing X number of guys with a weapon.) you were granted a medal and (this is the important part.) a bonus.  whether it be +5% damage while using that weapon, or party members gained +20% health it was a nice thing to help out on future playthroughts.  Especially if you are like me and end up jumping to harder and harder playthroughs.

1. Fully voiced protagonist (just like DA2)
2. Alternate weapon
3. No or much less recycled locations
4. An open world
5. Something new
