What are the top 5 things you are hoping to see in DA3
For me it has to be:
1. Returning characters, particularly Morrigan and Isabela
2. Improved combat tactics mechanics - Its very frustrating when tactics end up broken, I love the tactical element so I'd like to see them get this right first time
3. A Multi-player mode that does not affect the single player campagin
4. Choices that matter - Lets see consequences to choices from both DA3 and even DAO and DA2
5. In depth characters - Bioware always do a great job with characters, but I'd really like to see more interaction with companions, not just a "Isabela wants to speak to you type thing"
Thoughts ?
I agree with all of these. I especially want to see:
1. Choices that matter.
2. Improved dialogue/conversation system with companions, not just the so and so deigns to speak with you now. This goes hand in hand with having in-depth, interesting companions and characters.
3. Better romances. Equal amount and quality of romance stories for males, females and same-sex relationships.
4. Returning characters. I'd like to see some familiar faces. I'd also like to see our Warden and Hawke make some sort of appearance, even if it is only a cameo.
5. Immersion. I want DA3 to feel a little bit more open and immersive than its predecessors. I want to be able to explore the world and stumble upon a plethora of side quests that I may or may not do. It just makes the game that much more enjoyable and replayable when there is so much more to experience every time you make a new playthrough.

No "inquisition"!! I consider it an insult to have to play as an "inquisitor". It is not a history to be proud of.

One of the things that strikes me is the Alistair romance in DA:O - it was funny, sweet, poignant at times - it had depth.. Alistair was an amazingly well written character... (as were most in DA:O)
I guess what would be at the top of my list is
Well written characters.. ones you really grow to care for and want to "know"
and for those who "hated" Alistair, in my opinion that is a characteristic of a well written character - to draw strong emotions whether you view them positively of negatively. In my case Loghaine was "evil" - he was well written as well.

1, Strong, deep, driven story.
2, Deep, believable characters (like Alistair, or Morrigan)
3, Better voice acting, especially companion voices. (DA II characters' voices are horrible, especially Merrill: so emotionless, and her accent is among the worst things I've ever heard. I really hope that actress won't voice anymore DA character.)
4, Better graphic (not the cartoon-like look of DA II. It's ugly).
5, Bigger world, and no more reuse dungeon.

2.To stay true to the lore.
3.An ending with as much closure as dao's ending.
4.No Japanese anime art style.
5.No pre-order bonus and no Day 1 DLC.
(p.s if there is no day 1 dlc and no pre-order stuff then ill pre-order it)

2. More Tactically driven combat (But try to maintain the DA2 free romping Hack and slash gameplay)
3. Ambient Dialogue between companions and the player more in-depth conversations (Dialogue wheel, no half assed click and listen dialogue like in ME3.)
4. More customization of Weapons, spells, armor, appearance options for the player, and a home base (like the Hawke estate or the party's camp in DAO.)
5. A well written and thought out story that offers resolution to the Apostate vs. the Templars story among other things (does the Chantry find Hawke, whats Flemeth's deal, and will the Archdemon's soul manifest itself again E.G Morrigan's Ritual.)

3. more main missions please RPG's are suppose to be long, not 6 hours.
4. Go back to DA:O style please... i.e. go back to doing the game like d&d/baulders gate/ NW1/ ect
5. Awesome story, but you guys never fail in this aspect, ever. seriously you guys are the best.

2. Good interface. Practical but not too minimalistic. Tiny HUD or lack of it is a problem. Obscure/boring maps are problem. Haotic menus are problem. It may not seem a big deal but when done wrong it can ruin gaming. In general, it would be nice to see something familiar from previous games to know that you`re playing Dragon Age..with some fresh and creative touch.
3. Good reason for re-play. Not every choise pc makes can be 'the right one'. In DA2 you could not change the way story goes, only to have an opinion about it. And in Origins the Blight ended if you beat the game - only details were different.(I understand that solid ending is important to game that comes after. If 'load your save' system remains and we have many endings, every next game would take ages to finish...or it will be badly rushed.)I would exchange many endings to many different ways to get there.
4. Good combat. It may be fast but don`t leave strategic elements out. Gore can stay if it becomes more realistic. Sometimes sound of broken bones is more effective than overuse of
5. Customisation and rich world.
(6.) ...and a Book containig concept art of Dragon Age series in general. Love books and I`m a big fan of concept art.

1) Both sexes of all races. Female dwarves and kossith have to stop hiding in the bushes sometime. Especially the dwarves.
2) Fun, even combat. A balance between DAO and DA2. Not clunky, but not crazy.
3) Lots of character customisation. If we can't customise race, then put in a lot more face/eye/mouth/nose shapes, more hairstyles, a big variety of armour and robes, etc. And more tattoos. Maybe scars too. Stop giving NPCs hair we can't use (especially Morrigan's), and please, some black eyeliner instead of just garish eyeshadows.
4) All bi LIs again. No reason not to, as far as I see. having sexual orientation as the only point of 'realism' in character preferences seems pointless. More options for all.
5) Lots of choices, and things that add to replay value. Besides romance, sibling survival and Hawke's personality, there weren't many differences between playthroughs in DA2.

2.Talking to your companions was a fail in DA2. I want to have it like Origins, where you're in the middle of the Breccilien Forest, and you can still talk to Zevran about his leather fetish. I'm tired of having to drag myself to the Hanged Man just to have a 30 second conversation with Isabella, only once or twice during the act.
3.Bring back the background personalization. And i don't just mean like having a human, elf, or dwarf to pick from, but throw a twist in there, and add a Qunari to the list. I would love to play as an escaped Sarrebas, running from the Qunari, and embarking on an adventure.
4.Bring in some of the old and new characters. Have people like Morrigan, Leliana, and Isabella return to the party. And maybe add some new characters to the roster, like a rogue Templar who left the chantry and became a mercenary for hire. Another good companion would be Tallis. If she were to be one of the companions in Inquisition, I would die. She never properly got to join your party in DA2, but is she was like Isabella from Origins, then of course they'll bring her back, if not, they are idiots.
5.An upgraded plot would be nice. In Origins the main plot was to defeat the archdemon and end the blight, with revenge towards Loghain and Howe being a little personal satisfaction. In DA2 everything you did was to lead up towards the crucial moment of Templar vs. Mage. And it was a load of garbage. I mean all Anders did was whine and complain about mage abuse. Fenris just hated all mages in general. And all the other people in Kirkwall were either like Fenris or Anders. I am tired of hearing about both of them, and I would personally like to have a main plot that matters, and has some depth to it.

I admit, I enjoyed the party camp bit myself.
And for a deeper relationship with your companions. I want the same feel of DA:O and actually feel as if I was getting to know them. With DA2, speaking to any LI was awkward. It seemed more eye candy-fanservice which would have the same result as a single piece of sexy fanart on Deviant art. We have places that sell 31 flavors of ice cream but video games that only give us two choices.
Mages or Templars? (I wanted to side with the Chantry, they were neutral)
Ice cream is cheaper. . . . . .OTL
Maybe we will get to see Morrigan's child. Or is that plothole to be forever unanswered?

4) Party banter
5) More than 1 "healer companion"

2. Polearms. For warriors and mages, mebbeh? Probably not, but it'd make me happy.
3. Trim up a lot of the magic. Lots of dead-weight spells in DA:O and DAII.
4. Make party member specializations more unique. More of Fenris and Sebastian, less of Isabela or Anders' healing sub-tree, where it just copies Hawke's potential specializations.
5. More mage armor like Champion Armor, Regalia of Weisshaupt, the Mage Items DLC, etc. Stuff that looks pretty please!

- (Spoiler?) What happened with Morrigan's baby?
- Better combat
- Customizable armor (color, pattern, etc.)

2) bring back the choice to play different races like Origins
3) if elves, dwarves, humans are characters you can play again ..Give it the feel if you are a elf . You have a harder time trying to get humans to listen to you..if it goes badly.. have it affect the story some or other eg. if you are mage.. you are walking by some templars.. they might attack
4) like the camp site
5) Talking to your companions anytime, anywhere like DA Origins

2) and 3) are pretty much useless I'm afraid: it's already confirmed that there will be a human main character. And the fact that he/she is also a Chantry's Inquisitor assures that probably there won't be too much friction with the templars even if you're a mage.
A blood mage, however, is a completely different beast...

2. Programable AI behaviour (tactics).
3. As free as possible skill tree and usable weapons (I like making mixed classes - arcane warrior...).
4. Finishing moves.
5. Clanking noises for heavy armour (like in Origins).
Elves as a playable race would otherwise be number 1 for me but oh well.

2. Friendly fire
3. Tactical camera mode
4. NPCs responding to class / prestige class where appropriate very few people will care if you're a duelist spec. rogue a lot of people should care if your specialization is blood mage or templar.
5. Grey and grey morality (if you really must do the mage/templar conflict) without hitting darkness-induced audience apathy (hi DA2!).
I appreciate 4 and 5 could be very difficult to do.
