1. More freedom with coices, DA2 was an amazing 3X-4Xhours x2/3 for two playthroughs...but they were almost exactly the same even though i played a mage favouring mages and anders, and then a Rogue who despised mages buddying up Fenris.

2. Freedom to farm / replay / Look for treasure, loot EXP, either repeatable zones/quests or at very least game+ (This is for me, somthing that would make you my ultimate goto company for any and all games lol) Bethesda offer huge open world and freedom, but lack the personality, relationships character involment i love so very much with BW. but even with 'Side Quests' wich mayaswell be main quests in a game you can't replay, i find im missing out. Seriously im on an adrenalin high at the end of DA2 but the credits mayaswell of said "Thanks for playing, you may now delete this save" for 40+ hours i fell in love with my companions, LI and the Character i was Roleplaying and then it was all over,

3. No Scaling, Item scaling is awful, what were yout hinking :). Preferably no enemy scaling, IF you must impliment please give me a slider in the options under gameplay to choose if they scale at 25% 50% 75% 100% 125% of player level or build into the difficulty setting like Me1. I feel playing linear should be challanging, but sidequests, repating area's/dungeons for exp loot i should 'ease' the next section a bit not always be a life or death battle every battle froma level1 refugee to a level 30 Chapion of the entire city.

4.More Romance, Friendship, Loyalty, I love your games for this. I AM Sheppard / Hawke etc when i play and i do feel for my LI especialy if she is in danger, i almost cried when Tali did what she did when i made a booboo with the geth. with DA3 take note on the ME trilogy but MORE! :) i felt very little love in DA2...some but not alot.

5.TRUE choice not illusion of choice, especialy with Attributes and Talents/Skills First time i open an RPG Character menu and see all those lovely Dex HP and MP I get excited with idea's on silly or specialist builds. DA2 there was only an illusion of choice all classes went 4X-5X with their class's main stat then 3X-4X secondary stat with maybe a couple in health as you... put bluntly HAD to or you had a weak character out of stubberness.

6. Silly one - Gideon Emery to Voice somone again :) Such a great voice!

7. Reputations? feel im heading more MMO here but if Game+ or farmable/repeatable areas combined with Reputations to offer/ulock somthing, anything lol, items, quests, story would be quite fun.

As a side note id like to point out i Played:-
ME1 - approximatly 30 playthroughs. Good build choices, game+ needed to max levels.
ME2 - 3 playthroughs. Only for LI reasons, I hated the ME2 combat but loved the story/journey
ME3 - 7+ playthroughs best combat of the tril, loved story too and my LI's (reply when DLC's)
DA2 - 2 full playthroughs great game but no reason to ever take out the box again sadly

I think i got carried away with the hopes a real BW person would see this and go "Hmm, okay lets try that" :-) lol well /opionions off

Some others :)

* Non-Combat oriented skills and stats
- Charisma (effects Li, friendships, bonus objectives, +/- Modifycompatability ratings)
- Luck effetcs loots, rare encounters
- Stealth (Rogues/Rangers/Scouts etc +/- Modifiers for avoiding detection/combat
- Tradeskills trapmaking, potions, smithing n such (avail to all or most but improved with added stats/skills)

This would rely a little on less aggressive enemy scaling or (see later - Game+ bonus) be nice to really customise and strey from from min/max dps and such. (Im a jack of all trads fan myself) and i love niche

* Love Interests / Friendships - Copatability Score social difficulties
- Race, Sex, Charisma, Objectives effect the difficulty in success or fail on stages of the relationship. each 'stage' (progressions) would be more difficult and effort involved to pursue. not just click heart and bed the person!

example as a Male Elven Mage who has played greedy/selfishly with low charisma would have very little chance if any in wooing a Human Male Templar who is lawful favoring opposite sex relations where as a Human female non mage who has been a paragon of nicey nice would have 'heart' options for first couple stages no problems.

* Game + Bonus's
Bonus to your character for completing the game, stackable / repeatable. Examples below
- +X to all stats
- +5% Attack increase
- +5% Dmg Reduction
- +5% Health
- +5% Mana/Energy/Stamina

Oh! Nearly forgot. The ability to add and remove runes when applied. Hated that in DA2 once you used a rune, it was gone forever.

1. Make it all about the main plot. The odd companion sidequest is fine unless it takes away from the main thread of the game. The choices we make should pay off in terms of where and how the story changes and where the world ends up at the end. If we're hostile to mages for the whole game, templars shouldn't be lining up to betray us in the third act because the plot is railroaded to that extent.

2. A nation to explore. I didn't mind sticking to one city in DA2 but I'd like to see more of Orlais if that's where this is going to be set. I didn't really feel like I was a part of Kirkwall by the end of the game because the city wasn't a living organism. Not a lot of people or room for the city to be changed by my choices contributed to this.

3. Being able to create my own character. I liked the idea of playing out a piece of Thedan history in the skin of an important figure and I liked the idea of a frame narrative, but I don't know if it lends itself to a changing world. If a created character doesn't line up with accepted canon that's fine. It's more difficult when a set historical figure goes way off script.

4. More party customization. From what I hear so far this may be on the right track.

5. Slower and more realistic combat. I don't mind action games, but it's not really why I play dragon age. The story and setting are there to wow and satisfy. Combat needs to deep and sensible to be satisfying, not flashy and "extreme."

DA has always been about GREAT characters, GREAT dialog and multiple story lines, races - STORY based replay ability not Multi-player based. that's never been its strong point. You had the answer to sell back in the first DA - no reason to sell back a game you can play a dozen times over and have it different each time with romances/ relationships/ different dialog trees, quest line outcomes, LOOT etc, THAT's the answer- that's the future and you HAD it! Not another flimsy multiplayer to compete with the BIG BOYS in an incredibly overcrowded multiplayler market. DA Origins and its dlc ROCKED. Lets forget DA 2 existed and move on with more sexy original flavor DA goodness.

In Da as in MAss Effect you have an incredible, detailed universe that we all can't wait to delve into. These are real masterpieces. PLEASE don't let the marketing geeks turn it into a mediocre "product".  You guys know what made the first DA
and it;s DLC and Awakenings follow up a success. You already have the keys to the kingdom. Use em.
Personally I'd like1. More Morrigan/Leliana/Aliaster/ etc characters with filled out dialog trees leading to different reactions. (Gaurantees replayability and non sellback) I ALSO NEED THE CLOSE UP when I talk to my characters not the floating near the ceiling camera as they mumble a standard reply like in DA 2. I'd like filled out conversations with muliple possibilities - Plaus ez for players who dont want this to just click through quickly.
2 BETTER functioning and better looking LOOT for ALL characters not just my own. Want to choose theirnoptions as well as my own.3Bring back multiple origin stories4 Grey choices are fine and realistic but for main story There has to be a true BLACK AND WHITE GOOD VS EVIL battle in which you can invest yourself - ie hatred for Howe as human noble. 5. Don't force any character let alone a narrator like that grotesque dwarf VARRICK force his way into your group. I love the dwarven storyline and deep roads - VARRICK was some ex 70's disco king I could smell polyester sweat.
In general don't sacrifice campaign for multiplayer - you have the resell problem licked. The first games I have never stopped playing and have actually had to rebuy cause Id worn them out. Give us a masterpiece - not too hard eh?:D

I'd parrot a lot of what other people have said,
1) characters
2) storyline
3) tactical gameplay
4) choices that matter
5) companion interactions and party banter
6) Customizable character and party
7) Different races playable
8) Having people actually react to you based on choices....like being a mage in DA2 and you get the line "Mages aren't people like you and I" o.O
9) Playing DAO again right now, and I'm realizing there are a lot of 'fetch' quests....but they are more worthwhile to do than in DA2
10) PLEASE DO NOT MAKE THIS THE LAST GAME IN THE SERIES.....there's so many possibilities where this can go....

Argh....I know this is way more than 5....

but 11) NO MULTIPLAYER

  • Laura Bailey as VO for the female protagonist
  • Varied environments with freedom of exploration (no more copy pasted dungeons!)
  • A storyline with actual choices and consequences, not an illusion of choice that ultimately leads to the same outcome (*cough* Meredith battle *cough*)
  • Distinct and varied companions with intricate friendship and romance paths. I want conversations to be deep and player initiated. In other words, I don't want the game to dictate when I can and can't talk to someone. (More like DAO and less like DA2)
  • More customization options for CC, armor, weapons, crafting and player houses!
  • More tactical combat and perhaps limit the amount of useless skills that are a prerequisite for that uber skill X that I want.

1  No multiplayer.  Leave the development budget intact to improve the single player experience, I would hate to see all the cutting of content and corners that ME3 ended up with for a MP system that nobody liked and very few people played.

2  Return to the complexity of previous PC RPG's, no dumbing down for the consoles.  I would like to see a superb hand crafted product rather than a one size fits all mass produced piece of tat.

3 Do not give overpowered items as part of dlc content.  These items unbalance the game and make further playthroughs walkovers.

4 Think expansion rather than dlc, it may cost us more to buy but at least it is worth it.

5 More of everything.  What can I say, I'm greedy Posted Image

1.My DAO warden back
2.Return to DAO romance style
3.Hawk/fem as an optional party member,& maybe DAII Flemeth to have some role& lots more Morigan& the wardens son/daughter/Sten too/ & your dog/Alistare/Loghain if he survived DAO would be interesting with his dislike of the orlesians
4.Choices from DAO/Awakening/DAII to have real impact(more than MEIII)
5.real altenate endings if this is last DA, idk if it is or not

1. Go back to the more strategic combat system from origins.
Dragon Age's combat for me is a more then just fast-paced button smashing. I loved to set up my characters and always think of the next move in Origins. So go back to a more strategic combat system is priority 1 for me

2. Great companion characters
You guys have had a wonderful cast of companions thru the years. HK-47, Morrigan, Tali and many more. Most of my most memroble moments from your games is talking and discover these fantastic characters you guys create. So more of that please.

3. A Story with choices
I want to dwell in to a story that i feel i can be a part of creating. I love seeing the choices i make under the game effect the outcome of the story in some way. And helps with the replaybility for me.

4. Exploration
I want to explore the rich world of the Dragon Age universe. Kirkwall was to closterfobic for my taste. I wanna experince Orlais, i want to make my way thru Antiva. Maybe even visit the Qunari homeland.

5. Closure for past choices
Answers to some questions. What happened if i did that in the ending of Origins? Or maybe i did something completly diffrent. Most importanly i would love see some answers to the Morrigan mystery Posted Image

I personally enjoyed both games and was a bit disappointed with the lack of DLC for DA2 however, I am really looking forward to the next game and am very glad that it is in the works.

1. Epic story with an epic ending - keep it strong until the end! Don't leave us hanging...when Hawke walked out of Kirkwall I waited through the credits and almost cried when there wasn't anything else. Not even a hint except that Varric doubts she/he is dead.

2. Tie up loose ends from DAO/DA2 (i.e. what happened to Hawke after he/she left Kirkwall, what's the story with Sandal the dwarf and his "dwarf magic", what are Flemeth and Morrigan up to (both clearly had their own agendas), etc...)

3. In depth Companion Interaction and plenty of banter- I really enjoyed all of the conversations available in DAO. I also play and replay the games to hear the hilarious things they say to each other while traveling.

4. Romance options - I like to see the romance affect the attitudes of the characters and parts of the story (i.e. marrying King Allistair, I played DA2 once as a mage and purposely romanced Fenris for the sheer irony of it and was a little disappointed that he didn't seem to notice the irony)

5. Wider variety of character visual customization options (i.e. hairstyles, clothing/armor)

1. I would like to have more of the rpg elements back from Origins, for example I really liked being able to equip my teamates with whatever armor I wanted too, in DA2 I just had a whole bunch of bad ass armor that I couldn't use and neither could my teammates.

2. The only things that I liked about Dragon Age 2 were that your character had a voice actor, the fighting was a bit improved and I LOVED the funny option in conversations, it made me feel like I could really personalize my character's personality.

3. With Bioware's latest games it feels like you are trying to make games which are better for a broader audience and I feel like it's taking away the unique quality that exists in your earlier games such as Origins, ME1, ME2, Knights of the Old Republic, and Jade Empire. I think that your move towards a broader audience is forcing you to lose your cult following, maybe that's what you want. I have two friends who's favorite game is Mass Effect 2, but they were so disapointed with Mass Effect 3 that they refused to even finish it and sold the game in exchange for The Witcher. My brother and I have been playing Bioware games since we were little kids, you guys are our favorite company and we hope it stays that way!

4. I didn't like most of the companions you had in DA2 with the exception of Isabela and Varric, Anders wasn't nearly as likeable as he was in Awakening. Bioware usually creates great characters to accompany you (Dragon Age Origins, ME1 and  ME2). In DA2 you had to have people like Aveline, who was one of the only tanks you could use and I hated having her around, I honestly wanted to kill her every time she talked.

5. I don't know if you could ever create a better female-romance option than Alistair, but in DA2 the options were not that great. I ended up having to go for Isabela so that I wouldn't have to deal with an angry elf, a moody mage or a patronizing church boy.

6. My biggest issue with DA2 was that the levels were ALL THE SAME, it was SO annoying, I could not believe that Bioware put so little effort into the creation of the levels when Origins had such excellent level design, as well as more visually appeasing cut scenes.

I feel bad that I am being so critical of the company who's created my favorite games, but I was so frustrated with Mass Effect 3 and Dragon Age 2 that I couldn't resist speaking up.

1. Main Protagonist species selection. (Elf, Qunari, Human, Dwarf; in no specific order.)
2. More exploration. (I was sad in DAO that I would not barge into every house I wanted all willy-nilly, plus some rocks or little hills would prevent me from shortcuts...)
3. No Convo wheel. Removal of this would improve my opinion of Da3.
4. Augments/enchantments, More. Some for show too maybe? Like butterfly effect/runestone on a sword or bow of ones choosing would be awesome.
5. Various/More Romance options. I really only played DAO. I had the options of; 'Mean-girl', 'Sweet-girl', 'Gimic-blond', or 'Sassy-blond'. B: I wanted 'Snarky, tall, dark, and handsome'. (Sten)

Good luck~ >w<
Ps: If there is no option to choose my species (AND the convo wheel is still kicking around) I will have to treat da3 like da2. <~< Which I don't want to do.
I really do want to play more DA games. Just so long as they live up to the expectations they set for me in DAO. (Specifically Species options)

1. From Origins i would like to see Morrigan return to the Fold. I personally have no desire to see the Warden return as they just don't feel that relevant to the story line of DA3. Also the Wardens story was dealt with by an amazing amount of DLC.
2. Unlike the Warden i really loved the fact that Hawke had a Voice and a personality which made Hawke so much more memorable . I really loved playing the game as Wry, humorous, Witty Hawke. Jo Wyatt for me was the better of the two Voice Actors and i would love to hear her do more stuff in the future.
3. I would really love to have Hawke return in DA3 as Hawke seems more relevant to the mage templar war story line. Having being there at the start. Hawke really should be the pc and playable as such or at the very least seen. Also because of the VA, I actually cared about Hawke so if you can build on this with a new leading character and give me someone i can care about you will doing well . I have to say its something special when you find a character in a game who can affect you like this.I have not being that attached to a character since James in Fallout 3.
4. The rpg elements of Origins that never carried over to DA2 for what ever reason, I would like to see come back. This was being able to dress your companions in the most appropriate armour. Unlike DA2 where they effectively wore the same outfit for 7 years.even all the weapons and armour had a little back story and this was a nice touch which was never carried over from Origins to DA2
5. The core group of companions in DA2 i liked. Aveline, Isabela and Varric. So some new companions may want to draw on these ones for Inspiration. Sebastian would have being more Interesting if Fem Hawke had the option to harden his personality via Seducing him away from chantry . I remember being able to do something like this with Leliana.
Fenris and Anders are just too intense. You just did not have enough lighter or comic moments with these two. That would have allowed you to digest the weighty stuff that had just transpired and give you the player a mental breather. Another problem with DA2 was making the city of Kirkwall the hub of game as there really is not a lot to do with your companions in the lull between quests. It did feel an under developed element of the game. It would have being for good to have little cutscene with Hawke going to The Hanged Man for a drink and special alone time with Isabela for example just something to allow you to believe that Hawke has a Life outside of the quests, instead as the game makes progress Hawke's life seems a very sad and lonely existence in that big house. Its something that could apply to the PC in DA3, which i wish would be Hawke. or just go back to the tried and tested camp site in the forest.
The final thing that i can think of is a greater variety of locations. Something that really bugged me when DA2 fiirst came out, Now having recently revisited the game i have gotten used to it and still i still like the game even with its flaws. I Would have liked to have seen Hawke developed like Shepard was, or at the very least return at some point.

1. More character customization.
It's great already, but there's always room for improvement. (p.s. a few more dreadlocks and cornrow hairstyles would be brilliant)
2. More weapon variety.
Spears, whips, double-edged blades, scythes, sickles ect. They could all fit into the 2h, 1h and dw trees respectively, and it'd be a breath of fresh air to see a few new weapon types.
3. A Kossith companion.
I'd be over the moon to have a Kossith companion for DA3, but maybe this time one who isn't part of the Qun. A Tal-Vashoth companion would be an interesting dynamic to explore, especially when encountering the Qunari... awkwaaard.
4. Puzzles and Riddles.
I just LOVE EM, the puzzles and riddles bit in the Urn of Ashes quest was so enjoyable. A handful of those kind of sequences in DA3 would be greatly appreciated.
5. No more recycled areas.
It was great news to hear that Bioware already have this one covered, thank the Maker!

My points are not very deep but everything I thought of has been already said. So,

1. Keep the mage skills from DA2, they are awesome.
2. Please let me wear long hair
3. If I hear Gideon Emery's voice through Fenris again I'll be smiling for a month.
4. A Qunari female as companion would be cool
5. Make the game as different as possible depending on which character you are playing and how you are playing it.

1. Better reputation system (my suggestion is to merge the approval - disapproval and friendly - rivalry system of the 2 games into a two-dimensional one)
2. More depth in the world. (in it's various forms) - and more important choices obviously
3. More Inon Zur soundtracks (his soundtracks in DA2 was probably the best thing of that game)
4. The choices of the 2 first games to be more effectively changing the world
5. Toolset
