1. I'd like some more diversity of weapons such spears and maybe just a longsword tree for the warrior, lighter swords like rapiers and sabers and maybe a hand crossbow for the rogue, for the mages maybe rods, scepters and maybe even a scythe ala necromancer kinda thing.
2. More specializations, lets face it everyone likes playing a magic flinging swordsman (arcane warrior/ battle mage/ spirit warrior) I was kinda bummed out when those got removed. For the warrior maybe just a one handed tree, a spear heck even a battle scythe would be really cool. For the rogue sword and hand crossbow, single sword. For the mage I think you guys got that covered pretty well already.
3. The return of more characters but they actually kinda stick around and not just "oh you look competent, here's a random quest for you, bye! These people were important in the last games so why shouldn't they have some kind of impact on this one, here's lookin' at you Morrigan.
4. DAO felt big but in reality it wasn't all that large, DA2 was small and felt small, the city however felt big but lacked life. If you're gonna try to make the world feel big don't, MAKE it big and GIVE it life. When I go on an adventure I want it to feel like it, not like I'm going on a hike but can return home in the evening.
5. I'd like the conversations to be more interactive like in DAO, DA2 was alright but maybe if you combined the two like for example give us a list of dialogue options like in DAO but give us control of the inflection. I could say something in a nice way or I could say the exact same thing but in a sarcastic manner instead. Keep the voiced protagonist I like having a voice and not being a silent doll, some people say it helps you imprint yourself on the character but I don't play RPGs to be myself, I do that in real life.

In regards to combat either way is fine by me I liked both, if you can find a happy median between them cudos if its something new i'll give it a whirl, and please no more spawning waves.I would play DA2 and find myself asking "is that it? No? alright then back we go" kind of irritating to me at least. Party banter is good, character depth is important, and for the love of all that is holy, sacred, well and good don't railroad the storyline again. We had no control over the ending of DA2 and SPOILER ALERRRTTTT!!! Allowing anders to blow up the chantry at the end whether you helped him or not was not a good way to finish that game off, if you chose to help and he blew it up then I'd feel responsible and we could go from there, if you chose not to help him that wouldn't have happened maybe he would've tried poisoning the grand cleric or something i don't know, just something else. That my piece there ya gooooo.

1.) IMPACTING CHOICES AND REPUTATION:   That the reputation and choices that you make Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age II make a BIG or at least noticeable difference in DA III: Inquisitions and the same goes for reputation and choices in DA: III.
2.) Great storyline
3.) BETTER QUESTS AND DLC: More great quests and DLC content but make the price reasonable for the content that you are giving and not just the production, marketing and the time that you put into it and the losses that happened during the production.
4.) More emotive companions: Make the companions personality more interesting, that it fits in with the plot and more powerful.
5.) BETTER MULTIPLE ENDINGS: Not to sound mean but I would like to see a more satisfiying endings for this game like all the choices I made I can see a little bit how it affected the world, not just with dialouge but with cutscenes and images and that one ending can be silly and the other one more realistic and one perfect fairytale ending and one more frightening and that the ending can make sense to the players not just the people who make the game but also the people who are buying it.
* 6.) PLEASE BRING BACK THE GRIFFONS!!! :D

1) Most importantly, for me, is to have overlapping classes. Like a Warrior who uses magic (like the Spirit Warrior in DA1

2) Varied locations: Cities, forests, massive caverns etc.

3) Being able to make better looking characters in the character creator

4) A story where the 'primary' antagonist turns out to be nothing but a pawn to a much larger threat. (That one is purely a question of personal taste)

And lastly...

5) Lots and lots of side quests!

1) A Mix of combat between DAO and DA2: Keep the strategy and depth of the combat from DAO and the faster pace and superior animations from DA2. Bring back the fun boss fights from DA2 like Corypheus, and Duke Prosper.

2) Hardcore Mode: Bring back Friendly Fire, Armor Weight, and other penalties that will really place an emphasis on strategy and careful thinking on outfitting characters.

3) No hashed in fan-services: At the end of DA2 we see what feel like every mission having a cameo of DAO characters. Go assassinte Zevran, Go meet King Allistair, Get saved by Leliana. While it's nice to meet old friends, it felt like they were all thrown in at once at the end of the game. Give our old companions a place in the story but don't make it "OH HAI REMEMBER ME?!" Bodan and Sandal I felt were the best example of integrating old characters into new storyline.

3) In-Depth Crafting and Customization: This is something that's already been mentioned on the announcement, but I'm putting extra emphasis here. Let us show off our avatars with pride. Give us Jewelry like Duncan's earring, other purely aestetic clothing such as eye-patches, crowns, emblems etc. Let us be able to alter the stats on the gear graphics we like like in SWTOR, or The Winter Forge Mod for DAO. I'm pretty sick of the set lip option when I want a beard.

4) In-depth exploration:  Give us a reason to bring other companions then the same 4 we bring everytime. Let character A find a shortcut somewhere, or Character B may be able to do something special in a conversation. Character C may be especially adept and slaying Darkspawn.  I found that my Mage Hawke, Varric, Fenris, Isabela team in DA2 pretty much got me through every encounter and conversation with the best outcome the entire game.

5) A truely memorable story: While I'm one of 10 people in world who actually enjoyed DA2's story and storytelling, it was by no means memorable. I want to see villains I want to fight, companions who can possibly die, romantic interests who we care for, and a story that will be on par with other bioware games like KOTOR and Mass Effect.

1.Control over the Inquisitors: Deciding what alliances and relationships the Inquisitors have with other factions, what kind of organization the Inquisitors are; A military based filled with skilled warriors or a more Espionage based with Rogues that use stealth and Manipulation to get what they want. And what the Inquisitors are fighting for.

2.Better customization

3.Warriors get Archery and Dual wielding back.

4.Bianca style crossbows as weapons for my Inquisitor.

5.Greater influence on Companions.

Okay, I'll have a go:

1. Different origin stories. We know the main character will be human, but there's no reason we can't have 4-6 origin stories as in DAO. These really made repeat playthroughs worthwhile. Bonus points if the origins can be tied back in at some point later in the main quest.

2. Customization. Meaningful tradeoffs in point allocation, skills, and gear. Less of the binary "backstabs or bows; pick one" choices; more granular "matter of degree" choices.

3. Write the end first. Where is this story going? Write it so that, when I finish it, I can look back over what happened and say "Wow, now all that stuff makes perfect sense!" Don't pull a ME3 and leave me thinking, "Wow, now nothing makes any sense!"

4. More tactical combat. I'm not buying this game as a substitute for God of War. Slow it down a little. Design each encounter carefully. Make me think my way through it, rather than mash buttons.

5. Locations, locations, locations. Make them diverse, memorable, and alive.

1) More realistic graphics, without sacrificing the art style.

2) Change the dialogue system. I honestly don't have a better idea, maybe the DA:O options but have the PC read the whole thing out? Creates the opportunity to know you're gonna say something bad****.

3. Change the appearance of the darkspawn. Yeah, the originals weren't all that original, but they were better than in DA2. Maybe a mix of the two?

4. Facial expressions. Both games were pretty lacking in this area, but especially in DA2. Having Isabela pissed at me or Varric make a snarky one-liner while maintaining a pokerface (8 l) really drew me out of the experience.

5. Make my choices matter, because between my two DA2 runthroughs there was very little difference between the ruthless yet efficient dwarf noble, and the kind yet stern human noble.

1. A memorable story with interesting companions, intriguing villains and influential decisions. Don't make the villain a "big bad meanie" that my guy has to destroy to save the world. While I tremendously enjoyed fighting the Darkspawn in Dragon Age Origins, I'd prefer to battle a more human foe. Make sure we can sympathize with the villain in some ways - don't make him a being of pure evil. Companions are one of the most important things in a game like this. Varric was brilliant and I loved him. Morrigan, Alistair, Isabella and Oghren where very interesting as well. Bioware excells at storytelling and NPC-making so please continue to better yourself. Decisions that matter would give the game a big replay value and it would up the suspense a lot! I loved how you had to hold court in Awakening (and the decisions did matter a little) and how your decisions did matter in Origins. More of that please!

Innovative quests. I've been playing Bioware titles for a while and the most awesome quest I can think of was in Neverwinter Nights 2. At one point you were accused of murdering an entire village and you had to defend yourself in court. I loved that quest (series). You had to gather evidence, you were knighted so you could be trialed in Neveriwinter instead of in Luskan (where they would've just hung you like a dog). The trial itself was awesome. Trying to chose the right rebuttal and winning it was great! And to top it off, there was a duel at the end (duels are great!) and your friends all tried to help out and comfort you the night before. That's how quests should be! There was combat and conversation, suspense and it wasn't just another fetch quest. Please give us more of that!

Lots of (different) weapons, armor and gear. I love swapping weapons and looking for the best item in any given situation. What I don't like is having hundreds of items that look exaclty the same. Please give us a lot of customization options to create a memorable hero for ourself. Give us a wide variety of weapons and armor to chose from. New weapon types such as halberds, billhooks, glaives, warpicks, spears and crossbows would be awesome. Up the amount of rare armor types and I'll be really happy!

Interesting sub-classes. Make subclasses radically different to play. Bring back the battle mage. Make the decision between playing as a barbarian with a two-handed sword and the decision to play a warrior with shield and sword important. I personally didn't like the sword and shield class of Dragon Age II. It was boring to play because the tactical element in the game had been reduced. In Dragon Age Origins the sword and shield played a more important role, holding choke points and braining darkspawn. More sub-classes to chose from is always great too.

Combat system/Gore. Please get rid of the body explosions. Seriously, what did you guys smoke to think of that? If I stab someone in the back, I want him to drop to the ground without a sound. A rogue doesn't dart around on the battlefield exploding his enemies, the rogue sneaks around and slit throats, poisons enemies and lays cunning traps. I didn't like the body explosions at all. I know the developpers are just people and people make mistakes. But please rectify that mistake in DAIII and get rid of body explosions. Also, I'd prefer a mix of the combat in DA: O and DAII instead of simply the fast-paced combat. I prefer a more tactical and realistic combat. I want to see gore - heads cut off, helmets crushed, guts spilled, limbs cut off, whimpering foes, cries of pain... But no body explosions! A more tactical element would make the gameplay more interesting too. But please keep the personal involvement - I don't want to click once and wait for them to fight it out but I don't want to button mash either.

I hope the devs read this and think of this when making DAIII. I love Bioware. You are the most talented game developpers out there. I loved almost all of your RPGs ever since playing NWN2. I loved Jade Empire. Loved Dragon Age: Origins. Loved DAII (but a little less, I'm afraid). I know you guys can do it, that's why I spent 20 minutes typing this **** out.

Don't disappoint me!

First of all I want to say I thought both games were amazing.

1. More story lines between companions and more dialogue scenes.

2. Bring back all the companions from the first dragon ages and dragon ages 2 with new story lines and be able to have the warden or who ever u played as in the first dragon age to the 2nd one meet and team up.

3. Love the romantic scenes. More romantic options. example nudity and more mature content to whomever you want.

4. Different story lines to the different character u choose when u start the game.

5. Most importantly have a choice on what type of fighting style u want to play like. I personally like to do my own fighting when i click the mouse to fight like have left mouse button do a normal attack and right click to have a heavy attack or something similar to that(like the witcher 2 fighting style) or have it be both where u do ur own fighting and can hit the buttons 1-0 to do special attacks).

Story Lines make the games and I loved both dragon age stories. Cant wait till the next dragon age. Keep up the awesome work.

  •  More in-depth conversations with companions so that you really get to know them
  • More flattering outfits (particularly with female PC as some of the outfits looked really 'chunky' in DA2)
  • Better character customization - for example, Hawke's original face was the only one that looked decent, the other faces didn't and it was too difficult to make them look anywhere near as good as the custom face. Oh and please make it so that female Hawke has the option of long hair. There was absolutely no long hair in DA2!
  • Big, amazing looking spells. Think GW2 with their mages' meteor shower spell, it was very flamboyant and the character actually floated into the air with a twirl, like a mini animation.
  • Better romance options - maybe have 1 straight, 1 bi, 1 gay.

1. Combat- tone it down with the Mage, seeing them twirl a staff around like they're in the high school twirlers was lame. The weightless swings for a great sword looked ridiculous, especially when wearing heavy plated armor. Finally the rouge doing backflips with chain mail on, do I even have to explain that.

2. Characters- you either bring all or none back. Nothing beats the original of anything including dragon age teammates. And interaction, make it flow or whenever like in origins. I hate having to wait till I complete a main quest just so I can talk to someone, it makes them seem like the squad mate is antisocial.

3. Quests- no fetch quests, they are just a waste of time and make the quests feel unique and different. Not copy and paste the same dungeon over and over again.

I want

1 Customization Galore
i mean i want to have everything i own to have some special piece of history to it like in origins not just a oh this is a cool looking sword
2 wrapping up all of the little stories
When i say this i mean like what happened to The Architect and does he ever do anything and all the other little cool stories that never went any where
3 Better Darkspawn
in orgins the darkspawn looked and felt like an unholy enemy that was deadly yet at the same time ramshakle, but in DA2 the darkspawn just have this nice put together feel to them that just doesnt give them the same sense of dread, also id like to see more classes of darkspawn like whatever happened to the Genlocks? or the Hurlock Generals and such
4 new weapons and charector classes
for some reason i just really want to see a spear in this game but also i want to see some new weapons combo that have never been seen before like a sword whip chain thing or even more crazy designs that just make your mind just explode trying to grasp all the amazing things it does also lets make some new classes like that mage-warrior class from orgins why not add some new Fade based powers to because in DA2 the fade felt like it almost didnt exist
5 new charectors with new and cool stories
why not have a mage that somehow exists in the fade and can open up wholes to it when ever he wants or something else like that i mean i feel like the fade has been seriouly over looked in the last game
6 just a great game Bioware with no multi player cause tha would ruin everything, i know you guys there can make a great game that just makes poeple stand in line and screaming TAKE MY MONEY

1) Environmental Artists need to step up their game. Take a leaf from games like Skyrim or Guild Wars 2. The world should be its own character - a vast, living, breathing, varied, dynamic place that reacts to your presence. An interactive canvas if you will. Those cookie-cutter dungeons from DAII made me cry a little on the inside - if you've seen one, then you've seen them all; please remedy this. From the blog post I've read, it sounds like you're off to a good start.

2) In DA: Origins, I got really attached to my companions and my protagonist. You did a great job designing those interactions so that I felt a deep connection to them, an emotional investment. In DAII, it all felt a little more like... cardboard? The whole "companion x wishes to speak with you" mechanic just didn't quite do it for me. Don't get me wrong, I love the characters and their VOs, and I'd very much like to see them return (from both games). But the interactions and dialogue should feel more organic.

3) Combat... where should I start? I liked the tactical elements from Origins, but I also liked the revamped animations from DAII (there was a faster pace and less shuffling around). You guys need to figure out how to get the best of both worlds. Also, (correct me if I'm wrong in my assumption but) we all know the ESRB is going to be rated M. That said, don't be afraid to make it visceral (I'm not just talking about blood and guts here)! I want to see some brutal moves that make me cringe a bit - like some of the combos from the Assassin's Creed franchise. I like stats and figuring out how to min/max my builds for maximum damage output and survivability as much as the next RPG fan, but while I'm actually in combat, do something to distract me from the diceroll. Be careful about too much streamlining though. I know that's a lot to take in, but I haven't completely lost faith in you guys yet! You can make this happen.

4) Customization. Not just in character creation (I could spend and hour or two playing with sliders though). More of it. Everywhere... well, maybe not everywhere, but definitely more!

5) Bring back Inon Zur to compose the score. If he's not available, try to get Jeremy Soule on board. I'll tell you, a good score can do wonders to highlight emotional aspects and undertones of the game. It can make the player feel nostalgic and want to revist certain places. For example, I loved beating DA: Origins just so I could hear "I am the One" when the credits roll.

6) Do you think it's possible to give Flemeth more screen time? Her character fascinates me. And she has some of the best lines...

7) Can you make the love scenes and LI interactions less awkward? Protip: Don't use Twilight as a reference. Not to point fingers or anything, but I am looking at you, Gaider *emphatically points index finger*! Resist the urge. Please.

And... that's it for now - I'm sure I'll come back and add more if I think of something else constructive.

2 Tactical camera mode
3 Consequences for your actions, especially from past games.
4 No multilayer, and if there is, one that doesn't effect the single player mode

I agree with a great deal of what has been mentioned above. I will add one thing I haven't noticed:

I'd like to see characters react to what my character is wearing. If my character has on a sexy suit of armor, I would like the LI to take notice--or even some other character take notice thereby potentially causing some jealousy for the LI. Too often I could have my character running around in a helmet & white thong, but no one would care. It would be cool to have companions & NPCs take notice of my character's haggard or well-kept adornments.

I'd love to see multiplayer and cross-platform comapatibility. That would make the game the best thing to come out ever.

Also, please  don't recycle areas.

Lastly, pretty much what everone else says :)

1. Story with a well thought out, not rushed ending.
2. Lots of character interaction, both in terms of party members and general NPC's.
3. Make decisions matter and make them not so black and white.
4. Deep characters that people cared about. I loved Morrigan and Merrill. They were superbly acted and i'd like to see some sort of combination of the two.
5. Continue with the British accent for the male lead. I'm sorry but fantasy works so much better when the characters have a British accent.
