I always play with my friends, usually just one plus two randoms with us. I used to be completely fine with playing with randoms but I don't really see the point anymore of trying to get a good Gold group as it often isn't so straight-forward as finding a solid Gold-worthy squad.
Do you prefer random groups or regulars?

I play almost exclusively with PUGs, except a few people I've gathered on origin that we sometimes play with.
Honestly, I like both experiences. With friends, it's easier to coordinate strategy (e.g. we play Asari and biotic detonate everything to oblivion), and it's... easier? When I go in a match with friends, I know that it's 99% sure that we'll win, so it's not so risky. I can get a break, and win some easy credits.
I also like PUGs. While they can give you bad surprises, they can also surprise you in a good way which always makes me smile afterwards.
It's also (usuallly) much more challenging, and you're more alert.

I usually play with randoms, but if a friend invites me I'm more than willing to join their game, as long as I finish this game too.
What's up with the secretive intel gathering.....?

Hey Folks,
I wonder how many of you prefer the comradarie of a few regular indiviuals to play MP with, or do you prefer the randomness of drop in lobbies?
Alternatively, how much of a mix of the above do you have in your MP play?
Cheers
I prefer my regualrs and other arelex memebers. I'd say people i know take up 98% of my gaming with 2% goign to randoms. Randoms are so cute with their horrible layouts and bad play that sometimes i can't resist. Its liek watching a puppy learn how to walk

I usually end up playing with random folk but I much prefer playing with friends.

I would like to play with friends more often... But almost every time I try to join I get stuck at a shady screen (one where you can join a quick match from, but kinda greyed) and it says "communicating" in the corner for 2-5 mins. Then nothing and I'm stuck. Friends also commonly get this problem. Maybe 1/5 times I actually join...
What's up with that?

Randoms. It can be frustrating, but I feel that randoms make things interesting. And sometimes I run into good people. I play with friends once in a while.

Impossible for me to say. Since I have only 1 contact in my Origin friend list who is rarely on (and who I encountered during a PUG) I have no experience with anything but randoms really.
Wouldn't mind some consistency in skill level though. I'm by no means a good player but the level of some is really something to cry over.

It's easier to make up plans when playing with friends (you are using that character? I'll focus on X defense/ennemies to assist you) but randoms can show you how to use characters in a different way (hmm... I didn't know the X character could do so well with these weapons).
Randoms most of the time for me.

If more of my friends played regularly, I'd enjoy playing with them.
But they don't.
And I'm extra shy, so I won't make online friends, so it's randoms for me!

80% friends, sometimes I pop on for a quick round with randoms, sometimes I meet new folks and we have a blast, othertimes it's disappointingly bad synergy, but you never know until you try. When I do play randoms I jump in for gold because of the extra level of challenge. But it's nice that I've got to the point where I have a group of regular players on my friends list!

It depends on the difficulty.
I will not play Golds/Platinums with randoms. There's just too many unknowns and I do not like having to carry matches.
Bronze/Silver? I host a Lobby, and keep going until I decide to stop playing that day.

I mostly play PuG, but would prefer to play with friends/people I know. However, this proves to be a difficult task sometimes, because most of my friends don't play ME3-MP anymore.

It seems that I've been lucky with random games, because I see most of people here complaining about how bad random games are, and in fact for me most of them are a success.
Of course, I have been in games with some randoms that are ......... awful, not polite, not cooperative, etc etc etc.

Admittedly I play with friends more often than randoms. More often than not, I have one or two friends I hook with then we open the lobby up to randoms.

As much as I like playing with friends, it is really hard to organise a group especially when they are already in the middle of the match which happens half the time. On the rare occasion that I manage to get a group of friends going along, then it is extremely fun, especially if you know they are people you can count on.
On days where I just feel like farming, I start up a PUG against geth on glacier and that's all I do. Might bring in some friends if they don't mind the same enemy and map which I know alot of people may find boring.

It's much more fun to play with friends, specially because I know they will not bleed out and let me alone to finish a wave, like usually randoms do.
Also, I like using teamspeak so we can constantly communicate and warn each other about potential dangers. It is very useful on Platinum.

I do both, It kinda depends upon who is on when I am on and if they are playing ME3. I do not think any of my friends were on this weekend so i just played one random and then went to TF FoC

This is my own brainchild. The recent survey had to do with BSN itself.

Majority of the time I play with my fellow legionnaire members however at times we would play with 1 or 2 randoms for the fun of it.
