Random for gold, regular for plat.
Do you prefer random groups or regulars?

Random people, but just because I have no friends to play with.

I would prefer to play with one or more friends, but most of my RL friends have moved on from ME3--either to other games, or to more restrictive personal and professional commitments. So the vast majority of my play lately includes joining pick-up groups.

I pretty much only play with people on my friends list, and their friends. If we have an open spot we'll open it up to a random (if no one else is on) - but those times when absolutely no one is on, I just go and play another game..
Same as Akula, who is coincidently one of my regular crew.

I like playing with randoms. It's exciting and different everytime despite it can be painful.

I pretty much exclusively play with regulars now. The group I play with are quite skilled, which makes for a better chance of winning, but the best thing about them is they all have a sense of humor. It's not uncommon that I end up doing something stupid and dying, simply because I'm too distracted by the hilarity of whatever conversation is going on during the match.

I really like playing with my friends, but one thing I /do/ really like is a mix of friends and randoms. One thing we especially enjoy is starting a bronze lobby and looking for newbies we can help out. Often I do that alone, especially when there are weekend objectives which newbies (especially on PS3) might not know about or be able to complete on their own.

I've got a few people I've "added as friends" that I play with every now and then, but I'd much prefer to play with the same people (give or take). When you play with randoms - which I do about 99% of the time - it's normally hard to get two or three other solid players. Most of the time you end up carrying the game.

If I have enough time (2+hours) to commit to playing, then I prefer to play with friends, especially to complete weekend operation objectives.
If I just want to catch a quick game (with less than an hour to spare), then I just jump into a PUG.
If I am in the mood to mess around and experiment with builds that I am not good with, then I also go into a Silver PUG (otherwise I play gold mostly with occasional farming platinum).

I play with both. Randoms are sometime nice to force you to mix it up and try different approaches. I do prefer playing with friends though.

With regulars I can regularly clear Platinum.
With randoms, I'm lucky if I can clear gold 75% of the time.
You tell me.

I like playing with friends, but I usually go random - friends aren't always online, if they are they usually want to play Platinum (see signature for how that works out), and of course, there's the ever-persistent issue of the "awesome" (we have dismissed that claim) netcode which sometimes almost always refuses to let me join friends' games.

Random. So far i've only added one person I met on MP. I haven't added more mainly because i'd feel bad for rejecting any game invite from "friends". I have to say playing with random is challenging at times and it does make that part of the fun.

The Delta Squad games make up for most of my matches these days. However I find that I prefer them over PuG's for the reason they're organized... and usually far more successful.
Still if there aren't any Deltas on or I just feel like a challenge I'll PuG it.
We're still waiting on you to run with us Derek.

I much prefer playing with friends, but most of my games are PUGS since I have very few friends on my list and it's hard to coordinate sessions on PS3.

I would prefer at least one friend in my lobbies but none of my friends play anymore.
I play 100% random lobbies now (at least in terms of my friends). I've learned to adjust to the wildly varying aspects of randoms online.
It's interesting, to say the least.

With friends. With at least one friend in the lobby, we allow randoms to join in Silver.
Must be 3-4 friends to play Gold.
All 4 are friends for Platinum.
Sometimes I don't play at all if none of my friends are on.

I prefer playing with friends. The skill level of randoms is just so... well... random. Occasionally I find good players, but most often people playing silver with level 5 vorcha and using a locust and a scimitar or something.

The reason I played the game this long is that I played mostly with friends. Randoms are usually dire.

Hey Folks,
I wonder how many of you prefer the comradarie of a few regular indiviuals to play MP with, or do you prefer the randomness of drop in lobbies?
Alternatively, how much of a mix of the above do you have in your MP play?
Cheers
I like the randomness of random lobbies. keeps me on my toes. I even like to get dropped into ongoig matches.
I play with my brother a lot and we normally take 2 randoms with us. So, its a mix of both I guess.

I don't really kick anyone unless I am trying to make room for a friend and have already asked them politely to leave. That said, a good mix for be in all honesty between the two. It is fun (for me) to run a pick up game and help some players that may not have made it to the end actually get there. On the other side, I play with a pretty big group of friends and enjoy every time I play with them. Whether we are just goofing off or doing something serious (shameless Condor/Reaper/Gold Record promotion) it is always a great time with them.

I don't mind. I play most this game on my own mostly as there not many GMT on the forums to team up with. Therefore I end up in games a lot with randoms, & I'm used to doing my own thing. It's nice to get the odd game invite from my friends list, talk a bit, know you're in the company of a decent player & not be waiting in lobbies for a 4th to join.

I refuse to play with all randoms.
