In order of preference
1 - friends are most entertaining due to ability to chit chat and BS as we play
2 - if #1 isn't an option, i will solo
3 - if #1 isn't an option and I am feeling the need of fast(er) credits, I will PUG.
Do you prefer random groups or regulars?

Playing with friends. If no one is on then I do a random match.

Random PUG is definition of the ME3 MP to me.
Yes, I love playing PUG, but I don`t avoid friends invitiation either.. as long as I am not in on-going game.
Playing super competent friends are indeed nice, but I feel like it alone limits some of the fun factors I value.
PUG makes things little bit hariy some times but it aos is more challenging, more unexpected, and more casual.
Beside, you don`t want to show your good manifest to your friends only. They probably have better manifest than you ! Random PUG will give you credits to your awesome weapons and performance whether they express it out loud or not.

I'd much rather play with a consistent group of friends, but there is magic to be had from finding comraderie amongst the masses.

Usually I play with randoms, my friends only play 1-2 games then they do something else.
I wont leave a running game to join them.
Platinum games I play preferably with friends only, anything else anyone is welcome for me, no matter if lvl 1 with N7 rank of 10 wants to join as well, why not?
People like to kick those, I tell them why not let them play with us? From experience they do better than anyone would expect.

I'm fine playing with randoms at time because when you play with randoms you find more quality players than playing in the same group. A good group makes this game more enjoyable though

Almost exclusively with known people, playing with randoms can be extremely tiresome as one half needs to be kicked and the other half barely can keep their own weight

Two friends and one random is a recipe for awesomeness IMHO. My usual group I know will handle their business regardless, having one wildcard is interesting usually in a bad but hilarious way.

I used to exclusively PUG and enjoyed the dynamic play with varying strategies when playing with randoms. With the last string of frustrating PUGs I've been in, I have grown an appreciation for playing with regular friends.
The banter is much more enjoyable, and we all still change characters between maps, giving just as much variety as I found with PUGs before. It's also nice to not have to solely rely on yourself sometimes

I prefer playing with friends. Knowing that they have my back, and aren't afraid to use consumables. But I play with randoms most of the time. It's always nice to find a good PUG like those who did 2 run and gun with me on Glacier several days ago. Too bad my game crashed at the last sec of extraction. And I'm always thankful to some random nice playes who give me or the team good advices vie mic.

It's better to play with friends, no doubt on that. You can actually communicate, the matches normally are faster, since we coordinate and get better results, if you are from a nation that don't talk English, you have the chance to talk in your own language (this is very important), you don't need to wait into the matchmaker work, you don't need to be afraid about bad players getting into the lobby.
I like one thing on random lobbies, variety, every time you are with a different team, that play differently, using different builds. It's fun and challenging, but it's rare when the team actually works.
I play more random because almost all the people on my friend list stopped playing, most of them is playing Battlefield 3 now.

Friends without a doubt, too bad most of them don't play anymore which forces me to rage with pigs who consistently suck. I mean common, how often do u get a good pug match? I get one maybe 1 out of ten games.

I would love to play with regular folks who I know. But not many of my friends play this game, so I play with pugs, it has it's charm.
