As DICE have said while ago Frosbite 2 will not support x86 systems and XP. It is true for DA3? You know, i don't think i will change my OS only because of DA3.

Neither will I. But then again, I'm not disappointed. There's -Eternity- coming and I'd much rather spend my time on that.

Sooner or later paople will have to upgrade.  XP is still widely used ( I use it myself) but peoplpe are moving to Win 7 and such more now and since XP only goes up to DX 9 it is inevitable.

Find someone with a student e-mail address or get a student to buy it for you, pay them back, and get that **** (Win 7) for like $50-60 bucks.

I will if the game is decent. I have upgraded my PC twice where I SHOULD have switched OSes, I am just set in my ways. A good RPG is what it will take to make me finally do it.

XP time has come and gone, what  I don't understand is people  have no issues buying  games, hardware etc but   when it comes to OS they are  too stubborn to upgrade.

I'm personally glad they are only supporting newer operating systems and 64 bit only, might make the rest upgrade.

Do bear in mind even Win7 is already five+ years old so not like you have not had plenty of time to do so let alone Win8.1 etc..

Some are on Win10 preview already, but I normally stick with the official latest ie Win8.1 Pro x64 but will be upgrading to  retail of  Win10,11 etc something I always  do.

XP is already past its lifecycle. The only versions of XP that are still supported are embedded for industrial purposes, for everything else it's for all intents and purposes dead. If you're still running XP, it's well past time you upgrade.

You realise you are "talking" to 2 years old post, and there was no windows 8 at that time ?

At some point, if you are unwilling to upgrade to modern equipment and software, then you have to expect to be left behind.    You can't keep expecting companies to keep backdating their tech to work with outdated stuff.

DA3 won't be available on the Commodore 64 either.   At this point, Win XP is closer to the Commodore 64 in years than XP is to the modern day tech.
