I guess you're right, if they target Oct 2013 it's too close for next-gen. IMHO they should wait and release a superior version in early 2014, but oh well... more crappy dumbed down graphics, physics and AI because of antiquated console hardware :-(
The new consoles will be outdated soon after they get here, so no big deal.
Truth. lol. I hear that there Xbox 720 is obsolete - make way for the Xbox 5000 U, circa Christmas 2015. It comes with spinal implants and a free robot dog. lol
