The rivalry/friendship system, just more fleshed out.
Sarcastic voiced protagonist
Awesome looking qunari
The more personal story, another "you have to save the world" would be a bit boring.
What sort of things from Dragon Age 2 would you like to see back in Dragon Age 3?

A few things right off the top of my head.
Dialogue tones.
Varric.
Cross class Combos.
Gap closers built into "basic" melee attacks.
Dog as a "free" extra party member.
Differentiation between Warriors and Rogues.
Most of the other things I found positive in DA2 seem to be making their way into 3 based on the snippets of information they've released. Hopefully they do the IP proud in this one.

I really like how the companions have their own home bases instead of just following you around all the time. I do, however, like the way it works in Mass Effect 3 even more - when they are moveable according to what they are doing.
I also really liked how the story was really personal, although with the 3rd game will probably be about the Mage/Templar war it will probably (hopefully?) be a more epic worldchanging tale - Which is something I am perfectly fine with too! - As long as they keep choices and consequenses and build on them even more.
It is also really nice that they are keeping the dialogue wheel and the voiced protagonist. It is really nice to have a voice, I think. At least when the voice actors are good! Talking about the dialogue system. I like it much more than the Mass Effect one with the tiny little images showing the mood. To me, it worked really well.
There was actually quite a lot I liked with DA2. I really enjoyed the story of how the world was changing around Hawke with many events that he/she can't affect but react to - To me the choice/consequence was really good in DA2 but not in a world-changing way but in a more personal way. Hawke's path from refugee to Champion was a great story.
Basically the only things I want to change, gameplay-wise that I can think of right now - long time ago I played DA2, is the removal of the waves (as I found them illogical) and the removal of the same environments over and over again.
Both of these issues were, if my memory serves me correctly, a lot better in the two DLCs though.

A tweaked Friendship/Rivalry system that reflects your actual actions rather than the metre assuming plot decisions. Change the colours so rivalry points are less like DAO's disapproval or get rid of the colours altogether and just have the relationship points use the standard message colour and text.
PC tone options and dominant attitude which is used in party dialogue. I like the icons but having the option to hide them like would be a nice tickbox to have.
Companions having their own homes and cut scenes with each other.
The wave system used sparingly.

I forgot about the Friendship/Rivalry system, and the mirror in the Black Emporium too...
I might need to replay DA II some time.
But yeah the Friendship/Rivalry system was fun, though I hope it is a bit more fleshed out and obvious in the third game.

Honestly, almost nothing.
The friendship/rivalry is about the only thing I found interesting in DA2 that wasn't in Origins.

I liked the idea of telling a more personal, character driven story as opposed to Defeat the Big Bad.
Definitely this. There's a million games out there where you have to defeat some Ultimate Evil but very few where the story is actually about you and your companions. Sure, Hawke's journey in DA2 had big repercussions for pretty much the entire world, but that was more of a side effect, not the main point of the story.

Cross-class combos.
I'd like the speed of combat to be somewhere in between DA:O and DAII.
Mage melee attacks.
More pants for mages.

Uhhh the Kossith/Qunari's new look should stay. Just have a lot more variety in the faces.
The Friendship/Rivalry system maybe, but it needs to be expanded and refined. There are things you can do that would make your companion hate you and leave, not gain "Rivalry" points. If you told fenris you approve of slavery he would likely try to cut your head off, not gain some rival respect. Integrate the Approval/Disapproval system into it and you have a winner.
Other than that nothing really.

I remember the cross-class combos as being pretty awesome, so definitely yes on that.
And the mages were a lot more kick-ass in DA II than any other games I know off, so yes melee attacks and awesome armour that has pants is something I want for a mage in DA III
Also, you have an awesome screen name.

I understand that a lot of people hated Dragon Age 2, but me personally I loved it. Sure it wasn't Origins and it didn't allow mods like Origin, but the gameplay was still very good.
I would like to see:
- The fast paced combat return, BUT with the zoom out feature like Origins!
- Voice Acting!!!

The feeling of true companionship with your companions.
The more personal stroryline like family and such, but this time alongside the epic save the world storyline and not instead of it.
Hawke. Depending how you played Hawke and how you play The Inquisitor, they could either become good friends, bitter enemies, respectful rivals and maybe even lovers. They need to be treated like just another character in the overall story of the franchise and not just as the protagonist of DA2 who gets shortly forgotten after his game ends.
Past Companions. Not as companions again though. There loyalty is to The Wardan/Hawke. Having that relationship with a new protagonist wouldn't feel right. Each companion should have at least one moment where, based on how I played DA2, I should be able to bump into them. And not just as cameos, but constant roles. For example, if Hawke sided with the Mages and has a romance with Anders then they both appear at an important mage controled area doing his part and has managed to earn his place in the rebellion thanks to Hawke vouching for him. Alternatively if Anders wasn't romanced, he'll appeare at another mage controlled area and he'll have been allowed to join the rebellion reluctantly because mages blame him for there horrible situation. Worst case scenerio, Hawke sided with the Templars and convinced Anders to help, leaving him no chance of helping the mages and the Templars still out for his blood(unless he's dating Hawke) where The Inqusitor is simply given a mission to kill him, which may or may not give have a few option to improve his lot. Isabella's would be slightly less varied with a simple, either with Hawke where ever he(meaning she was romanced) is or at this game brothal with an olbigitory threesome option(meaning she wasn't). Stick Zevran in there too if he hasn't been romanced by The Wardan.
Clarification that my Wardan and Leliana are still going strong and that their duties haven't either strained the relationship or forced them to call it quits.
Pretty sure none of that is what you meant though

1. Sarcastic/Troll Hawke. More boneless women flopping in the streets
2. Qunari being important (but not enemies. I love them)

I saw other people mention this and it reminded me that I did enjoy the differing tones based on your overall responses. If you're going to have some auto-dialogue as a voiced protagonist, then it was a good way to go (and sarcastic Hawke did make me ****** myself laughing). I do think that the dialogue summaries were a bit too short/vague, there were some definite ' I didn't mean to say THAT' moments, which were funny but not the best for immersion.
I also wholeheartedly agree with the person who wanted to see item descriptions return from DA:O - I love little bits of flavour text like that, and I care about items a lot more that just numbers: a really cool description or story to go along with the item design will make me hang onto things, i'll have favourites. The reduction of things to generic names and icons in DA2 I didn't like. It got confusing and I cared much less about my gear beyond 'meh this looks cool enough/has bigger numbers'.
Makes treasure feel more like treasure too when a shiny knife is more than just a shiny knife of +2 stabbery and has a bit of a tale or legend to it.
I also feel like DA:O had more options with regards to solving things beyond wading in to fight, but my memory could be playing tricks on me there.

Apart from enemies dropping from the sky, I liked that DA2 had a greater, I guess I would call it 'fluidity' to combat. Now if the could just bring back the tactics from DAO, it would be great.
I liked the voiced protagonist.
I liked the companion personal quests.

Personal story
CC Combos
Greater balance between the classes, yet each class felt much more distinct than in Origins
Better mage animations
Friendship/rivalry
Varric
Varric's chesthair
Unique companion looks ( like the proposed system for DA3 a lot)
Voiced protagonist
Personality unlocking different persuasion options
Faster Combat
Finally,
Sarcastic tone. Proof positive that it is superior to any dialogue options in Origins:

Responsive combat (this means that its responsive, don't read too much into it and assume I'm an EA employee now.)
Paraphrase (this is because they WILL do it. And I'd rather have DA2's paraphrase system than ME's.)

-The Dialog System. I preffer the Mass Effect System they used for DA2 instead of the silent main character with the long dialog options of DA1
-The Style of the Story: If there is something I really liked about DA2 it was the story. I loved how it centered about a "racial" conflict instead of some "your are the chosen one, save the world" plot we have already played millions of times.

I want most of the things that were introduced in DA2!
-The rivalry/friendship system. But rivalry should be renamed and the system needs to be better explained in game, since many people thought rivalry was bad.
-The fast paced combat. Pleas don't slow it down!
-The lack of crafting. Yes, I don't count gathering ingredients once and then buying potions at your home as crafting. Crafting is annoying.
-The personal story and which wasn't about saving the world.
-Great scenes with your companions where Hawke and the companions were moving around instead of being talking heads, like they were in DAO.
-All bi LIs!
-The time skips. I liked how a small almost insignificant quest had a follow up years later in act 2 or 3. I also liked how many of the side quest were connected. You could also see your companions relationship develop in a way that would not be as realistic if you only play for a few months in the game world. I liked how they became old friends.
-The pretty graphics. Loved the colors and the style. Less generic fantasy.
-Adventures and quests within a city and not just travelling in the country-side.
-The dialogue wheel, the voiced PC and the dominant tone. (I was so disappointed by the lack of dominant tone in ME3. If the DA2-team borrowed the wheel from ME, why couldn't ME3 borrow the dominant tone from DA2)?
-The wave system. Yep, I am probably the only person that liked this feature and I liked it a lot. I was always disappointed when there were to few waves..
- Lots of companion quests!
