What sort of things from Dragon Age 2 would you like to see back in Dragon Age 3?

*Dominant personality
*For my first RPG, having the dialog wheel made me feel more immersed in the game than I would have otherwise.
*The combat system was also easy to use, and having the auto-attack made things a lot better when I wasn't paying attention to party members in battle.
*I really liked the more personal story throughout the whole game. The reason I wasn't really into RPGs before DAII was /because/ it didn't have the "Save the world/Beat the bigbad" storyline. However, I wouldn't mind having both in DA3.
*I thought the all bi LI was one of the best things in the game, if only because it felt having like my sarcastic, blood mage, male Hawke romancing Fenris made him more customizable (
Those are my main points, but I loved most everything about DAII (as a first time gamer, having the small setting made the transition easier, though I wouldn't mind a larger one now), and I hope the creators don't just get feedback from the haters

Maybe you can't see it on the dwarf himself.MH19 wrote...
Varric's chest hair is a given.
But perhaps a mage robe will have been woven from the locks of his chest hair?
Though it will probably be the most overpowered robe in the game.

I was fine with most of the components (or at least the intent); they just weren't put together right.

Hawke. And pretty much everything else. But especially Hawke (yes, I know, not going to happen).
Though he or she might not appear in the flesh, I think BioWare did promise that they would answer what happened to him in DA II.
...Then again, the Warden's fate would be revealed in the Dragon Age: Origins Witch Hunt DLC, and that was sort of vague as well. Yes, all right. In some instances he went into the mirror world, but won't he leave at some point? And if not, what has he found or what has happened to him? Even if he didn't go with Morrigan, I still wonder about were he went.
So yeah, if Hawke does show up I don't expect BioWare to leave it tied up in a neat little bow.
They'll probably just leave us with more questions.
Not that that's really all that bad, it leaves them with more story opportunities, but it does make people curious and a little frustrated.

Weapon and armor design
PC sexual LI
Companion banter that PC participates in
Companions establishing relationships between themselves if not romanced
DA2 style spells and talent trees
Just a few off the top of my head
Things that I'd like to see improved from DA2:
Better crafting system (particularly for crafting weapons and armor)
More quests that don't involve slaughtering people
Better combat encounter designs (no more "paratroppers")
More freedom to explore different areas on the map

Cullen of course!
And Fenris and Sebastian.
Oh and be able to have a mirror like in the Black Emporium to be able to change yourself when you want to. Sarcastic character too as others have mentioned. Sarcastic Hawke had me laughing all the time
This ^ and the combat except Sebastian.

Art design? No, didn't fit the gritty style the writers have been going for.
Dialogue wheel? No, pointless game mechanic solely created so it's easier to select options with a controller.
Voice protagonist? No, reduces game content, limits character creation, and makes replays less enjoyable.
Combat? No, too fast, not tactical at all, too much dependence upon AOE, too much discord between player and enemy health, too few abilities, too easy to manually dodge attacks making large-but-slow enemies far too simple and meek.
All-bisexual romance? No, felt cheap and not very tailored.
Friendship/rivalry? No, it's stupid how characters who hate you even stick around, much less are improved for hating you. This sort of style where you can do no wrong is the bane of good choices in RPGs.

I'd also like to see the amount of different bombs return. Possibly add to the development of bombs in game (increase the crafting system). And there's the dominant personality and voiced protagonist. I loved both of those things and would like to see them return.

Only Bethany...
going to disagree with you there. i know it's a matter of preference, but...
Bethany was a dishrag, a simp, hopelessly dependent both emotionally and in a practical sense, and whined too much about never getting to just be a pampered doll in an idylic family who never had to work a day in her life (like Leandra). i liked making her a Warden so that she would at least get a SPINE!
but if you (and everyone breathing) found her a sweet and idlic little princess then...good for you, i guess.
to me, her only redeeming quality was her ability to huck a meen fireball.
speeking of hucking fireballs...
better mage combat. keep that. everytime i try to play origins as a mage now, i cringe at how pathetic the mages seem in battle by comparison. decking people with a staff is good, good, good, gooooood!

I liked the at least pseudo-attempt to give characters their own lives outside of your adventuring.
And.... That's pretty much it.
