I'm in two minds. I think it could be a good idea and I do want to know more about the Qunari in general - I think its the one thing DA2 did well in expanding what we knew from DA:O and Sten. But I don't think we know enough about the whole Qun philosophy to make them easily playable at the moment (though may be an opportunity for an origin story there!).

I loved Sten as a party member. What if you were a Sten from The Qun to observe the war(and possibly end it)

I wouldn't mind playing the race, but not the mindset of a Qunari. If you were one that embraced the idea of free-will and freedom, then I could see it. However, the world and NPCs would have to acknowledge you differently. I don't want to show up at a elf village, merchant stand, or even just passers by on the street without them showing a bit of fear or confusion about your presence.

Not for DA3, as much as I want to become Qunari. For DA3, I want a Tal-Vashoth background however.

I would like to play as a Kossith. that would be my second choise, after Elf.
It would be interesting know about the Qun as a Kossith who never knew the Qun.

Well, it won't be happening in this game. I wouldn't mind since I enjoy a diversity of choices in character creation in fantasy RPGs. I'd like the option if I was playing as Kossith (I assume that this what you're referring to when you say Qunari) to be able to either make my character born hornless, the way Sten was, or to have left the Qun, having removed my own horns so that only stubs remain. I would also want the two variables I mentioned to be available as selectable character backgrounds for my Kossith PC.

ever since i saw Sten, i wanted to be one.

i have been denied this at every turn and thus i am continuously disappointed.
